Called Namaste and scheduled an in-home visit to get a price for regular cleaning services. They did agree to schedule it for later in the day so I could work it into my busy work schedule. I made plans to make the appointment. Asked for help at work to cover appointments and even rescheduled one appointment. The day for my meeting with Namaste comes. Then, after all the rearranging I did to make this work, they call and cancel. An emergency had come up. First meetings with new clients are important. Canceling them is a very poor business practice. It's also very telling. The business is novice at best. I'm glad I found that out up front. They even told me I could call back to reschedule. A professional would have found some help at work to cover the meeting. Sort of like I did. This is just a word to the wise. Enough said.

Over the phone, I was quoted $60 per hour, but I was never told that rate applied per cleaner. A couple of days before the appointment, the cleaner sent a very long text--my fault for not reading it carefully--which mentioned $60 per hour per cleaner. That is a big difference from what I initially understood. When I asked how many cleaners would be coming for my small, already mostly clean house, the cleaner insisted on sending three people. On top of that, they charged an additional $50 travel fee, which I've never encountered with other cleaning services (and they were only traveling from Shoreline to Bellevue). The worst part is that when the three cleaners arrived, only two of them seemed to be working. The third person spent most of the two hours doing almost nothing--mopping one small area and randomly sweeping walls and furniture with a feather mop for far too long. This felt like a tactic to inflate the cost by counting him as a third cleaner, without him actually contributing. After two hours, the house still wasn't fully cleaned. There was dirt left in the oven drawer, some drawers and the fridge weren't wiped properly, and one of the toilets was still unclean. It was extremely frustrating to pay such a high rate for an incomplete job. Overall: - Very high rates once you realize it's per cleaner, per hour. - Unclear communication of pricing (you must read the fine print carefully). - Extra travel fee that seemed unnecessary. - Unsatisfactory cleaning results, despite paying for three cleaners. I wouldn't recommend this service to anyone. If you do consider them, read every detail thoroughly--otherwise, you may end up with a huge bill for very little work.

We need our home cleaned the day before Christmas Eve and they were able to do it. Unfortunately right before our appointment some of their cleaners were out sick BUT I was able to work with the company and they still came over the day they were scheduled and were even willing to try to get help from other cleaners in the area to complete the job. Because our home is so large and they didn't have their full team and we wanted a top to bottom clean our home was going to take 2 days. So they did our main living spaces and bedrooms first on request and saved the lower level for the next day. But then giant snow storm happened and we ended up needing to clean ourself. No big deal we were only charged for the work completed and they were very understanding when we canceled the second half. Would highly recommend this company. As for the cleaning quality, I'd say it was about 95% there but not perfection (I suppose nothing ever is perfect). A couple spots could have used more attention but it wasn't worth revisiting (and they did remove some nasty, really hard to remove stains that we'd been unable to remove ourselves). I'd recommend.

They also have these great things called task blocks in which you can add on certain tasks such as doing laundry, doing dishes, organizing, basically anything you want. Tula asked to meet me to show me her insurance & bond bc they are 'dealing with many scammers & unsolicitors'. While not super convenient, I agreed to meet, saying that it was important for me to first verify her insurance before hiring her. She then replies: 'Let me tell you that we are small family company, we have only 4 people working. And to be honest, we are same as other cleaning peoples, struggling to find clients, also dealing with issues that we face everyday. We do make mistakes like breaking peoples stuff, using wrong products we don't have to use etc. if you're thinking that we are not trusted,or dishonest, we can't work together in the future even if we show you an insurance and bond.' If you're the owner of a business, you should be able to quickly provide proof of your the insurance and bond you say your business has. Doesn't seem like Tula is willing to do this for some reason. I don't appreciate tactics like this that have wasted a lot of my time and also made it seem like my request was unreasonable, or that I don't trust them.
