We need our home cleaned the day before Christmas Eve and they were able to do it. Unfortunately right before our appointment some of their cleaners were out sick BUT I was able to work with the company and they still came over the day they were scheduled and were even willing to try to get help from other cleaners in the area to complete the job. Because our home is so large and they didn't have their full team and we wanted a top to bottom clean our home was going to take 2 days. So they did our main living spaces and bedrooms first on request and saved the lower level for the next day. But then giant snow storm happened and we ended up needing to clean ourself. No big deal we were only charged for the work completed and they were very understanding when we canceled the second half. Would highly recommend this company. Our family felt a lot safer and cleaner after they left our home.

Called Namaste and scheduled an in-home visit to get a price for regular cleaning services. They did agree to schedule it for later in the day so I could work it into my busy work schedule. I made plans to make the appointment. Asked for help at work to cover appointments and even rescheduled one appointment. The day for my meeting with Namaste comes. Then, after all the rearranging I did to make this work, they call and cancel. An emergency had come up. First meetings with new clients are important. Canceling them is a very poor business practice. It's also very telling. The business is novice at best. I'm glad I found that out up front. They even told me I could call back to reschedule. A professional would have found some help at work to cover the meeting. Sort of like I did. This is just a word to the wise. Enough said.

I took photos of the piles of hair left next to the toilet, the sticky residue left by bottles of something in the kitchen cupboards, a body piercing ring on top of a dirty heat register, and a towel covered in filth after I wiped down the kitchen counter. The response I got was defensive and full of excuses, and I was offered 25% off, which absolutely doesn't begin to make this situation right. I was told my rag was dirty because they don't use harsh chemicals. I wiped that up with an essential oil wipe, guys. Essential oils. I have yet to find any evidence that anything was cleaned at all. Literally anything I wipe down is filthy. I'm tired of dealing with them, so whatever, but I would absolutely never recommend them. I was hoping we could hire them down the road for regular cleanings, but definitely, definitely won't be doing that. Don't make my mistake.

It's funny that a business takes the time out to respond to reviews, but instead of apologizing for poor service, they use Yelp to invent PR responses about firing clients for "ongoing rudeness and disrespect." Actually, my wife made all of the appointments and managed the cleaning visits throughout the entire time of service. I never spoke to them expect to say hello on the rare occasion when I was home during a cleaning. I know the cleaners loved my wife. Which is to say, the supposed "ongoing rudeness and disrespect" couldn't have been more than the final complaint letter I wrote (the first one my wife wrote). I'm pasting the letter below (some names changed) so everyone can see what constitutes "rudeness and disrespect." In other words, when you complain in a professional way about service you paid for but did not receive, you will be "fired." Ironically, there is another term for having to pay someone for something you did not receive. It is called "stealing." If you read the whole letter, you can see that we were "fired" in the loose and melodramatic sense of the phrase, a la "you can't fire me because I quit!" The letter ends with me essentially terminating the service, so I don't know quite what they mean by having fired us. This is the kind of quality and drama you can expect with this company / owner. Fun! If you live in the area of North Kitsap, give "Simply House Cleaning" a try. I'm writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with the cleaning we received yesterday, as well as what I consider thematic problems with your service in general. The cleaners were supposed to arrive between 1:00 and 1:30. They arrived at 2:30 and because they were late to arrive, they then rushed through their job and did not complete all their work. Kathy then had to ask them to come back inside and finish properly, but even then they rushed and did a poor job. Moreover, someone broke the sliding shower door in the master bedroom yesterday and didn't mention it. The door was working in the morning when we took a shower, but was completely off the track after cleaning. It's ridiculous that someone wouldn't take accountability for it or even mention it, but instead left me with this problem. I can't help but believe that the rush job contributed to whatever happened to the door. The bigger problem here is that this isn't the first time we have had this and other problems (scheduling) with your service. I'm sure you're aware that we had specifically asked for Lisa to come here for many months, so much so that someone communicated to Kathy that she no longer works for you. In fact, we specifically asked for Lisa because the quality of work was so markedly different when she came. It wasn't that she just worked harder and did better work (although that is part of it). She also acted as a manager for the other cleaners, and made sure they completed their work properly. Every time she was here, she pointed out things they had missed and directed their efforts. Now instead of Lisa supervising and finding problems, the burden instead again falls upon me, the customer. It seems absurd that I am paying for this ordeal. I'm a successful business person myself and don't appreciate paying for a service that I don't receive while wasting my valuable time. We have service every three weeks and always leave a tip. By my calculation that is $4,160 annually, well over $50 an hour. Are we receiving premium service for these premium prices. Most certainly not. At this point I have to ask myself why I'm not contracting my own untrained staff, since that seems to be what you're offering me. I could buy my own green cleaning supplies and expect similar results from someone here in Kitsap off of Craigslist for $15 or $25 an hour. I'm displeased to be wasting my time writing yet another email on this subject. Frankly, I'm not sure you could dissuade me from canceling the service at this point. I used another company for our move-out of a similarly sized house - they sent 5 people and took 5 hours for the same price.
