Les was on time. Made my dogs comfortable before he took them to mobile. Highly recommended.

This is regarding my 04/25/2026 visit to PetSmart in Glendale CO…read more I have been taking my dogs to get groomed there for years. On 09/04/2025 I had in-home euthanasia for my beautiful Bella who I rescued at age 2. She was 21 when she crossed the Rainbow Bridge. I still cry every day as she was just the most unique out of all of the 8 cocker spaniels I had rescued. She had extremely expressive eyes and truly was my best friend. Since 09/05 I have looked online almost daily at the websites to find a rescue dog. I REALLY wanted another female cocker spaniel since my other dog Barkley was used to Bella. Barkley was my youngest rescue at 8 weeks. He is now 13 so spent his entire life minus that 8 weeks with Bella. He is experiencing her loss as much as I am. Luckily I stumbled upon Trevor's Animal Rescue website. They are a local rescue in Parker Colorado. Stephanie who runs the organization is in contact with 15 shelters across the U.S. who contact her when a dog is on the euthanasia list. Miller was in Arkansas. His owner died. A relative took Miller to a kill shelter. He is only 5 years old. Stephanie arranged for his transport to CO. She arranged for a vet visit who did bloodwork and took care of all of his vaccinations. There is no physical shelter for Trevor's Animal Rescue. Stephanie finds dogs and cats foster homes. Miller was at a foster home...whoever they are God Bless them for taking him in. Although Miller is a male, he and Barkley are doing okay. I am sure they will become best friends in the future. I very recently learned about a grooming option that PetSmart offers which is an "express" appointment. Typically when Barkley gets groomed he is there about 3 hours. The express option puts your dog with a groomer who has ONLY YOUR DOG to take care of at your appointment time. I chose this option for Miller since he has been in too many crates/kennels already. Miller had the works done...ears, teeth, anal gland expression, etc. I asked Shelli to call me 30 minutes before he was finished so I could be there for sure when he was done to get him outside to go potty. I asked her to put his ticket with the cashier upfront so I could pay before getting him to save anxiety. My appointment was at 7 a.m. The store doesn't open until 9 a.m. I did receive a call about 8:15 that he would be ready in 30 minutes. When I arrived, Miller was sitting in Shelli's lap. She was petting him, and he was super calm!! Please know that Miller screams every time I leave the house. He is so afraid of being deserted again. When I dropped Miller off I had handed a note to Shelli that he has separation anxiety. I learned from CHAT GPT to be as calm as possible and don't get emotional when I drop him off and then walk out, don't look back at Miller, etc. It all worked SO WELL! I highly recommend Shelli @ PetSmart Glendale. I will be scheduling express appointment for Barkley when he is due for grooming for sure. It only costs $15 more for express and cuts 1.5 hours off your dog's visit!! It is a special service so be sure to book way ahead! Missy Santasiero

I am extremely disappointed with the grooming experience my Yorkie received yesterday. I have been…read morebringing my dog to this groomer regularly for over two years and have always had positive experiences, which makes this situation even more upsetting. When I dropped her off, I requested her usual Yorkie puppy cut and specifically asked for a full haircut with her coat kept short for the summer. Instead, when I picked her up, she had been completely shaved. She looked nothing like the Yorkie puppy cut she has received for years. Unfortunately, the groomer was not present when I dropped her off or when I picked her up, so I never had the opportunity to discuss the haircut or understand what happened with the communication. I still don't know how my request was misunderstood. To make matters worse, I noticed when I got home that her tear stains had not even been cleaned, something I had to do myself. In the ten years I've owned my dog and had her groomed every couple of months, I have never had an experience this disappointing. I understand that hair grows back, but it is heartbreaking to see my dog completely shaved when that is not what I requested. I trusted this business based on our long history together, and I left feeling very sad and let down. I sincerely hope this feedback helps prevent another pet owner from having a similar experience in the future.

This evening I noticed one of the employees that I've had difficulty dealing with (I know his name which is Sam) having a disgruntled discussion with a customer. Although the customer was a bit loud, I could hear her saying that the product she had ordered previously were all expired and to be honest if that happened to me and they were medications I would be very upset as well as this could affect the health of your pets. The employee named Sam,as well as the manager, who appeared quite disheveled, appeared to be taking out their anger at the customer because she wanted them to take accountability, but it appeared they did not care. I didn't hear the entire conversation but left the store as I have also had the same issues at this store. I no longer purchase online as things are always missing or something is wrong with the item. I normally don't leave reviews, but I am tired of being treated as this other older woman has been treated. Workers at the store never seem to care anymore. Customers are never treated with respect.

Absolutely. I'd keep it factual, specific, and pointed--that tends to hit harder in a Google review…read morethan sounding overly emotional. I brought my Pomeranian here for the final time today after giving this grooming salon multiple chances to provide basic, competent service. The first time, my dog was returned to me without an adequate sanitary trim, which ultimately resulted in feces becoming badly stuck and impacted in the fur around her backside. When I brought her back asking them to correct the issue, they refused and told me to take her to a veterinarian instead. The second time, I specifically explained when making the appointment that I would be in a major hurry and asked whether they would be able to take my dogs promptly at the scheduled time. I was assured they could. When I arrived, there was apparently no note about that conversation, no urgency whatsoever, and after waiting while an employee slowly went back and forth behind the counter for about 10 minutes, I was simply told, "Sorry, ma'am, you're just going to have to wait." I ended up leaving. Today was the last straw. My Pomeranian had some poop stuck in the fur around her bottom that had only recently started, and since she was due for a bath anyway, I made a grooming appointment. I was completely upfront about the issue. I explained it when making the appointment and again when I dropped her off. I spoke with two employees about it and was specifically told they could clean her up and perform a sanitary trim. Then, after I left, I received a phone call from Candace, the manager, telling me they were refusing to do it. Not only would they not perform the sanitary trim--they wouldn't even give my dog the bath I had brought her in for. I genuinely do not understand what the purpose of a professional dog grooming salon is if a small amount of feces in a long-haired dog's backside means they cannot even BATHE the dog. Cleaning and maintaining the sanitary area is one of the reasons owners bring long-haired dogs to professional groomers in the first place. My Pomeranian is an extremely valuable, well-cared-for dog, and I am very particular about her care. I wasn't asking them to treat a medical condition. I was asking a grooming salon to bathe my dog and clean/trim dirty fur after their employees had already told me they could do exactly that. After three separate experiences involving poor communication, inconsistent information, wasted trips, and an unwillingness to provide basic grooming services, I will not be bringing my dogs back to this location. If your groomers have limitations on what they will handle, customers need to be told that BEFORE they make the appointment and leave their dog--not after.
