They opened a Dirty Dogs 2 blocks from us, yea! We used to go to the one in Cardiff or Solana Beach after a day at dog beach. This location is much more convenient. For $26 you can do a self wash that includes shampoo, conditioner, ear cleaner and scrub brushes to clean your pooch. They have a limited amount of tubs, but usually crowded on the weekends. They have a large retail space full of various pet food, snacks, treats and toys. I believe they have a rewards program but I'm not familiar. They also have groomers on site for any trims, nail trims, sani-cuts, etc. for an extra fee. Friendly staff. read more

There were various options for shampoos and all the tools needed for a full service cleaning for us to use like brushes and ear cleaning supplies. Lots of snacks and food options for our doggie, other dog related items if you needed to pick something up. They have full service dog grooming on sight too. read more

I wish I lived closer. My dog was filthy and itchy and had fleas...because walking anywhere by the beach (where my MIL lives) they just hop a ride on my little guy. I did the flea bath first and let that soak for 10 minutes. They were jumping off! Then using their hose which has fantastic pressure you can adjust, rinsed him off. Goodbye fleas. Then soaped him up with shampoo and more fleas came off!! Be sure to keep the filter emptied so the tub doesn't flood. They provide a little trash can for this and a tray of everything you need. Then conditioner. My dog has never looked so clean. I take him to the groomer often and this was the best ever. Highly recommend. Please set up a shop in North Hollywood or Studio City. We have no places at all. Not one. I May drive down just for this bath. read more

We are a frequent customer for the in-house grooming services. Between Solana Beach and Leucadia we have been using their services for over 6 years. The groomers are 100% fantastic. The reason for the one star rating is due to their recent price increases. Not only have they increased the price of the premium bath by $20, they have also added a $4.50 surcharge for shampoo and supplies. There was no notification about the surcharge, and no detail on what it was for on the receipt. The lack of transparency is shady. I had to ask what it was for. I would think that the shampoo should be covered with the basic grooming charge. Congratulations, you are pricing yourself out of the market. read more

I've had a few bad experiences here. Nothing extreme but in one situation they shaved a line across my dogs face on accident and groomer didn't even think he should stay to talk to me about it. Last week my small dog came home with uneven hair around her mouth and only one her ears trimmed. Seems like they have alot of not very experienced groomers. Always try to make it right when I call so that's why I gave them 2 stars. Wouldn't get my dogs cut here again. read more

I am so excited to have this new welcome addition to the area ! After a fun visit to dog beach, our fur baby was full of sand, and frankly was also overdue for a good cleaning and de-shedding. But the wait at Dirty Dogs Solana Beach on days like this is usually long. So i figured it was a good time to try this place and I was right! We got in much quicker, within 5 minutes: Place is new spacious and bright. staff was great. And best of all- they did it right. * built in stairs to the tubs! * so no one has to try to lift our 85 lb Millie; or bring over and maneuver a ramp and coax her up. She still took coaxing on the built in stairs, but I believe this will get easier. and is more convenient. I love how clean she is now! And want to go more often. Highly recommend this place . Store and baths were very clean. They supplied everything we needed: towels, shampoo and conditioner, little scrub brushes and cotton balls and ear cleaner too! The clerk even put our cockapoo in the tub for us after he gave instructions on how to use all the equipment. Will definitely be back! read more

I say this all the time. I only write a review for 1 of 2 reasons. Either the experience was amazing or horrid. I literally took my chow chow here a month ago, and have been having this in the back of my head to write a review, because the lady (BRITANNY) that works here is SUCH AN AMAZING ENERGY. She loves what she does. She's funny and super helpful. My chow only loves his family and no one else. No one can look at him or speak to him, or walk towards us. I told Britanny this and she did so well with us. Let me tell you, the people that work at Unleashed at Bressi Ranch, are the complete opposite. They have a self dog wash too, and if you go there, they act like you are bothering them, and they hate their jobs. Britanny is exactly what a human being should be. No one forces you to be anywhere you don't want to be. You have free will. Therefore, you should have a good attitude no matter what. THANK YOU BRITANNY. I will only wash my dogs here going forward simply because of you. read more
