Dog In Suds has been our go-to groomer for many years. The staff are friendly and groomers are super efficient. They were one of the few groomers willing to groom our Tibetan Mastiff, Bleu. Their love for dogs is overtly apparent in their work. Oh, I love the fact that I can drop-in without appointment for nail trims and "gland extraction". Thanks again, Team D&S.

Been taking my pup for washes here for years! Renee & and the entire team genuinely care about all their fur clients treating them with so much love! My dog comes home clean and happy every time. It's a shame when certain people (bad reviewers) are having a bad day of their own and take it out on these hard-working small businesses.

I've been going to Dogs In Suds for over 25 years, they are the best. I've taken three of my dogs there, they picked up a melanoma, and probably gave me an extra two years with one of my dogs. Not only do they do excellent work, but they are very observant to health issues. My current dog that was just in there a week ago has an enlarged heart and other health issues. She's around 14 and I'm very concerned about leaving her with anyone. Renee and Dogs In Suds are the only place I would ever take her. The first dog I took there had been badly abused, and I was very concerned about taking her any place for a grooming. I asked for recommendations from friends of mine, and they said Dogs In Suds was the place to go. When I picked her up, I could tell immediately that she was very calm and comfortable and had been well taken care of. Every one of my dogs are relaxed when I pick them up and I can tell that they have been well taken care of while they were there. I can't say enough good things about Renee and Dogs In Suds. I would give them 10 stars if I could.

DO NOT TAKE YOUR PETS HERE!!! I dropped my dog off at 12(noon) and was told to pick him up at 4pm. They usually take about 3 hours to groom my dog. They called 1 1/2 hours after I dropped him off to let me know he was done, and that his right eye was swollen. I was shocked to hear this because he was fine before I dropped him off. The whole morning he had been playing and seemed very happy. When my husband went to pick him up, he was told they called me before they started, to let me know they noticed something wrong, but I never got a call from them. Both my phone log and theirs confirmed only one call was made AFTER the grooming was complete. My husband rushed him to the vet. He was shaking and very frightened. That night he was very lethargic, obviously in pain. Now, days later, is eye is still swollen, and not fully back to normal. Now the owner refuses to pay for the vet bill! DO NOT TAKE YOUR PETS HERE!!! See for yourself in the pictures I have attached.

Dog In Suds is a wonderful owner owned dog grooming facility who have wonderful customer service, and did a beautiful job grooming with care and gentleness for our senior fur baby. They have my loyalty and recommendation. 5 STARS!!

This place is horrible. They always made me feel like I wasn't caring for my dog enough. My last time here, they sedated my dog and didn't tell me before or after. My dog came how and could barely walk straight. read more

I can't say enough good things about this spot! We take our 4 year old Australian Shepherd for a brush and bath and he looks like a model every time he leaves. With an aussie I was nervous about cutting his hair and the brush and bath is perfect to help mitigate his shedding. The employees are always so kind and super responsive! Easy to schedule with etc. read more

We have been using this groomer for years now. We have consistently had a good experience with them. Price is fair, the service is good and they really know what they are doing. Our doggy isn't a fan of baths or grooming and they work with her to make it the best it can be. She had a nail issue and they took care of it so well last time we came in. Thank you! read more

I'm so impressed by Dogs In Suds! I have a 90+ lb Pyrenees mix who can be a handful. They were so patient with him and had no trouble grooming and doing his nails. I was most surprised by how quiet it was when I picked him up. No yapping and barking and was a very low stress environment. I highly recommend! read more

DO NOT TAKE YOUR DOG HERE!!! I used to love this place both of my dogs have been getting groomed here their whole lives. Recently they cut my yorkies eye and did not even have the decency mention it to me. Her eye was swollen shut and after taking her to the vet and them taking an extensive look at her eye did they see a cut on her pupil that was now infected. Rounds of antibiotics and many vet trips later my poor sweet dog is now traumatized and in so much pain. My tiny dog could have gone blind from their negligence and carelessness. My rough collie and I absolutely love Dog In Suds! The business was highly recommended by a friend, and I have to say she was absolutely right. The staff is caring and friendly, the prices are good, and my girl feels and smells so nice when her spa day is over...no heavy perfumes, but clean and fresh. got our girl Sadie's nails trimmed here. She is a somewhat unpredictable Cattle Dog, and is older. I was concerned she might be "difficult" but the experience was the MOST low stress ever! The lovely woman took her back with a treat and returned her a few minutes later with a wagging tail! This is our spot from now on & not too expensive either! read more

Started taking our maltese in to be groomed when we moved back to CA. Was happy to find a family run establishment that honestly treated every pet like it was there own. I knew I could trust them to be kind and gentle with our little girl as she developed health issues as she aged. They always offered great customer service and good advice when asked. Was glad they chose to keep the business in the family and have now past down the management to Renee. Renee is caring, passionate and incredibly selfless. I'm so happy we finally found a reputable company to take care our fur babies. we have a handicap dog, as well as and a non-handicapped dog. The care they give our animals is beyond a 10. Their attention to detail their loving and caring mannerisms are off the charts. Have never encountered one staff member there from the front counter to the back that is nothing but cheerful and loving to our animals!!! read more

I took Hudson for his first grooming to Dog In Suds today. He is two and his hair loves to knot up! They were so very amazing, thorough and gentle. They cared to learn about Hudsy, his car accident and his needs. They spoiled him rotten and made him into a sweet fresh and Holiday ready pup!!! Nails and ears are perfectly trimmed!!! Took my puppy here for the first time after my neighbor recommended them and couldn't be happier. My puppy went in all matted and with long unruly doodle hair and came out well cut and bathed. They took great care of my dog and she seemed very happy at pickup. Highly suggest taking your pet to this groomer! I will be back. read more

Disappointed to say the least. I hardly give anyone one star but this spot fully deserves it. From the moment I dropped my poodle mix off I told the groomer to specifically not shave him - especially that cute face of his or the adorable poodle poof! However, they waited to show me him until after charging me full price. They shaved every last bit of him - even that signature poof! The worst part about this whole experience? The staff did not even seem to care and were completely uninterested in what I had to say about his new shave. I understand that sheepadoodle's can have knots in their fur, but upon dropping him off I went over his whole body with the groomer who had told me that it should not be a problem. The only conclusion I can come up with is that this is a lazy staff who does not really care about customer service or doing a proper job. My dog is miserable, his fur is gone, and we will never return to this awful establishment. read more

I have had my toy poodle done her a couple of times because I couldn't find appts anywhere. I was sooooooooooooo disappointed. They do not know how to groom poodles. I would never go back to them again. I got the feeling they were only interested in the money they make and not anything that has to do with people who expect the kind of grooming a certain breed needs. I am also concerned that their groomers have no education to groom. VERY DISAPPOINTED. read more

Took our 70 pound goldendoodle in for the first time on a recommendation of a friend. Nancy, our groomer did a phenomenal job. Got rid of all our girls matted fur, trimmed the fur between her paw pads, trimmed her butt, trimmed her nails, and gave her a bath, all in under 4 hours. Great service and we'll definitely be back! read more

I am not sure what is happening with my dog. Ever since she came back from her grooming she has been shaking, and not herself. She had a VERY long pee after coming home, and many after. She even peed in the house which has NEVER happened. I am hoping it is not related with this visit, but it is the only factor in the day that was different. read more

This place is an absolutely solid option for pet grooming as the staff here is extremely friendly and very attentive towards your pets needs. My pup is pretty calm and really loves visiting Dogs In Suds as she's always in a good mood upon both arrival and departure. They took really good care of our fur babies here. We have a Labradoodle and a schnoodle. Both boys look e coming here. The staff is friendly and caring and our boys look very handsome when they are done. If you get them in at 8am, you can have them back before noon with a full grooming session. read more

I just adopted a dog this week, and decided that she could use a bath and haircut (my little Beans was about 75% fur and 25% body), so I took her to this place as it's close to my work. It's a bit pricey (all-together it was $58 for my Shih-Tzu) but they did do a really great job. She looked absolutely beautiful when I picked her up! I was pretty specific regarding her cut (the hair on her face needed to be trimmed so it didn't cover her eyes, and the hair on her butt needed a serious cut as well). They definitely listened to me, and Beans came out beautiful. My only complaint is that they did nick her face in one spot that was a bit close to her eye for comfort. I understand that it's definitely not easy to groom a dog that is anxious (my Beans is seriously resistant to grooming), but I would have preferred that she come back without cuts. Still though, she was friendly and happy as ever when I picked her up, despite the cut. I think I'll be giving them another chance, and hopefully Beans will be better behaved next time around. read more

I was hesitant because my fluffy cat hadn't been to a groomer in years ( they closed) and my short hair kitty had never been to a groomer at all. I let the groomer know this and let them know that the short hair kitty doesn't like his hands being touched, so I wasn't sure if he would get his nails trimmed. Not sure if I needed to be there or not in case a blood bath would happen They reassured me that Angel is great with cats and that he would be fine. I got there about 7:50am and Angel let me go in early with the furkids. The place was nice and clean and no vibes! I dropped them off and Angel told me it would take about 3 hrs and he'll call me when they were done. I waited out front in the car with my Mom. When they were ready, they called and I went inside to pick them up. They looked fantastic and smelled so good. They were calm, no look of discomfort or panic, so hopefully things went well. Even after a week of being home, they still smelled great and the short haired baby smelled good a week after that. They also both had matching bandanas which was adorable! We'll go to this place again and hope they make a closer location.

I want to share my experience so other pet owners know what to expect before booking…read more When I called to make a Memorial Weekend reservation for my puppy, I was given a total price and told the first night would be free. At no point was I informed about a mandatory daily insurance fee ($5-$6/day). I only discovered it while signing paperwork at drop-off. When I called to raise this concern, Michael told me it is not their job to disclose additional charges over the phone - that it is meant to be mentioned at drop-off. So by their own admission, they intentionally withhold fee information until you are already there signing paperwork with your dog in tow. When I followed up via email, Karly shifted the explanation, saying the fee is listed on their website under "add-ons", a label that implies optional, not mandatory. At pickup, they also attempted to charge an undisclosed meet-and-greet fee. They waived it, but it was yet another surprise charge. Most frustratingly, I explicitly declined a bath since my puppy had just been groomed. They bathed her anyway, and I had to take her home wet. California's SB 478 Honest Pricing Law exists for exactly this reason. Required fees must be disclosed upfront, not revealed at drop-off when you are least likely to walk away. The facility seemed fine, but the pattern of hidden fees, contradictory explanations, and disregarded instructions means I will not be returning. To Paw Commons management: before attempting to negate this review, please know I have email receipts documenting everything stated here. A good business responds to legitimate feedback with accountability and an apology, not by attacking the reviewer. UPDATE: After posting my review, I was contacted by Ben (manager/owner). He did apologize, which I appreciated, but the call was otherwise unproductive -- no real remedy was offered, just justifications for how they run their business. He defended burying mandatory fees under the "Add Ons" section by saying they "assume" customers read through the entire site, and that having two insurance coverage options makes it too complicated to list fees upfront. That's not a valid excuse. There are plenty of ways to present two options clearly while still showing customers what they'll actually owe per night. Additionally, a meet and greet fee was charged that is nowhere on their website and was never mentioned at check-in. Surprise fees should not be how customers find out what they owe. An apology without a willingness to fix these issues doesn't change my experience.

The problem is they don't have any cages in the grooming area. And if you bring 2 dogs in together then it $50 before you do anything!! You don't have a choice to do cageless or caged. One of the great things about Dirty Dogs is that it is cage free. So find another way to increase prices more legitimately, and until then I will have to think twice about coming in again or as often. A friend of mine said that he cut back on the amount that he tips to make up for this charge. That's not fair to the groomers. But it's his way of letting you know that he doesn't approve of this frivolous fee either.

This is such a great store. Really good quality treats. Finally made it in to do self washes this…read moreweekend. What a great experience. There are 2 tubs in a private room. We had 2 figs so took up the whole room and had to ourselves. The tubs were easy for the dogs to get in. The water pressure and temperature are adjustable which is really nice. They had many shampoo choices and all were really good lather and smell. There were many really good brushes as well. Loved that the dryer was also fully adjustable for the blower. It was nice to be able to turn it down for around the face. Also really liked that the heavy rubber mats on the floor so no fear of slipping. Will definitely be going back here for washes!

I have known the owners Denise and Darcelle for over 40 years, yes we are that old!!! It really hurts me when people write or say bad things about their business because I for one can tell you first hand what goes on in their business. Denise and Darcelle are first and foremost always making sure their customers, both human and doggy/cat are taken care of in the BEST possible way. All of the groomers and bathers that are employed there put the animals first. Have you ever seen a groomer give kisses first before clipping their client---well I have, at Dog in Suds. The people that are dissatified are the ones that neglected to call Dog in Suds and ask why is my dog acting this way, and or I dont like the cut,. etc. People need to call and they will be informed what transpired that day as alll the groomers take copious notes on what type of trim was done, to the animals behavior. I wish the groomers would have a site to tell their many times of being bitten, to the point of drawing blood, but stilll maintains their professionalism in continuing to work on an unruly pet---yes everyone, Fido sometimes bites going in and out of the kennel, sometimes at the grooomers themselve!!!! Your pet doesnt mean it, but some get very afraid being away from their owners. Rest assured, we all tell them that their mom or dad are coming back! Like any profession, the public needs to switch and do everyones elses job that they hire to do for them. read more

The complaint of 8/21/07 is totally false. The dog was horrible to groom. This dog was a nightmare biting, flipping out and screaming like you were killing it. Every groomer that was in the room the day that dog was being groomed witnessed that there was nothing mean or cruel being done. The groomer did everything in her power to calm this dog down. The eye becoming bloodshot was due to the dog being so freaked out. Dog in Suds has several vets that bring their dogs in to be groomed. We asked if the eye could become bloodshot from a dog getting upset. The answer was clearly yes. This person was told this but would rather believe that her dog was abused. She is incorrect in her assumptions. These comments will not be taken lightly. read more

I have known the owners of this shop the whole 15 years that they have been in business, they are wonderful people with huge hearts when it comes to dogs and cats! They have their own pets, and treat their clients pets the way they would want their own treated. Anyone who has a problem with this place needs to check themself. I can't tell you how many people I meet at dog parks and dog beach, that have nothing but wonderful things to say about the grooming and the customer service! Sorry Nala if you're trying to make a point, give up! You're obviously the one who needs to get a life and maybe a boyfriend, then you might find better things to do with your time than worry about the hair on your dog!! GET OVER IT!!! read more

Dog in Suds is the friendliest, cleanest, and most accomodating grooming shop I have ever seen. If this "Nala" is the owner of the the matted little mess of a Yorkie I saw in there last week, she should be reported for negligence. That poor dog! I'm amazed they didn't have to shave her bald. She probably caught kennel cough from her owner. I have been going to Dog In Suds for years, and traveling quite a distance to get there I might add, because the owners are wonderful, they are totally hands on, the groomers treat each dog like it's their own, and they are unmatched in technique and service. I want to let everybody know that this place is absolutley a scam, liars and unproffessional. All the below reviews you see belong to the owner and the people that work for them. Just a like a patient that gets the wrong treatment they switch my dog with another and provided care scheduled for other dog and gave my dog to a wrong owner who left the facility. As if that wasnt bad enough they were unapologitic and try to convinced me I didn't know my dog. If you want to risk never see your dog again bring it here. This place is Fantastic!!!Renee the manager couldnt be more accommodating! I brought my dog Petie in for a bath. Renee noticed a small hot spot I never would have spotted and saved me a large vet bill if we would not have addressed the issue. Renee is associated with a great pet rescue called Amazing Strays. We were able to get our dog Petie from the rescue. Renee has worked with rescue for 15 years and has saved hundreds of dogs from horrible condtions. I would not bring my dog anywhere else!! Of course I know my cat was not in any danger. By "noose or something like that" I referred to some sort of gentle restraint tool that groomers use for the pets and groomers safety. I didn't go into the back area so I don't know what the set up is. I just don't understand how my cat could be a problem, especially if restrained but you never know with cats. If you have a SMALL DOG with Hair, DO NOT TAKE YOUR DOG HERE. Not only did they have poor customer service, my little Yorkie caught Kennel Cough from their salon and they ruined her fur. She was butchered at this groomers. Not only will I never go back but I will make sure none of my friend's who love their dogs go back either. read more
