Greatest Dog grooming in Temecula. We moved here 7 years ago and didn't find Deborah for a few years. During that time we were not happy at all with some of the places we tried. Since finding Dirty Paws, we have remained loyal customers. They keep excellent records from previous visits and it is easy to always get the same haircut for our Multipoo Sophie. Yet when we want to try something new she always looks great too. No reason for us to go anywhere else. Deborah allows same day appointments if available but it is so much easier for us to just make an appointment days or even weeks out. Took my pug today for a bath and spa treatment. He's almost two and everywhere I've taken him before does not compare. It was just a bath but my boy gets very bad separation anxiety and usually leaves a bit stressed. But when I picked him up today he was extremely happy and anxiety free. Recently moving to this area, I have been apprehensive about bringing my dog to a groomers over here. My dog, Canela, had been going to the same groomer for 3 years. Finally, I decided to come to Dirty Paws after seeing how close it was and the positive reviews. I called and was able to make an appointment the same day. Taking her and checking her in was very fast. They asked the length I wanted and I described it as best I could, filled out the paperwork and they took her to get groomed. It took three hours for her grooming service, which to me seemed the normal length of time considering I got the full service package. When I went to pick her up, checking out was fast and they allowed me to use the $5 off first time. When Canela came out she was very happy and they groomed her the way I wanted! I will definitely bring her back and feel the price is worth the work they put. The girl that checked her in and checked her out was also very helpful! I feel bad I didn't ask her name. Called for an appointment on a Saturday morning and was told they were booked solid. Good for the groomers bad for me. Jumped on the next opening Mid-Monday. Drop off was easy, they were very knowledgeable about my type of dog and the various types of cuts options (cocker mix). 2 1/2 hours later I got a call saying Charlie was ready ready for pick up. It took me a good week to write this review because I was so irritated with the lack of knowledge this business has on breed cuts. We specifically asked if they knew how to cut a Bouvier (we just moved here) and they said they were highly trained. This is NOT highly trained and makes me so mad I cannot believe it. See pictures. Our girl needs her beard and eye covering because of her breed and having sensitive skin and eyes. They completely shaved her, this is a poodle cut and completely ridiculous. I'm all for mistakes and learning but to say your well versed in this breeds cut then to fail so completely at it- I will never bring her back nor will I ever recommend this groomer. First picture is her after her last grooming with a typical breed cut, second I'd right before this business grooming, third is how this business interpreted a cut for her breed. I was underwhelmed, over charged and ripped off. I have been taking my dog to pet spas for over a decade and the normal timeframe for a bath, brush, ear cleaning, gland expression and nail grinding is about two hours sometimes more if they're busy. They called me in 54 minutes from when I dropped her off to tell me she was all done and ready for pick-up. I thought that was odd but what was more alarming was the fact my dog was still scooting her butt on the grass the second we got home. This is the sign that they need to have their glands expressed....if she had just had it done this wouldn't be happening. I'm upset by how my 6 month old baby turned out. He's a miniature schnauzer and after getting groomed here he doesn't even look like one. I understood my baby had mats on his body so I gave it the okay to cut it off cause the weather has been hot anyways. What I'm most upset is how they messed up on his face more importantly. Mind you, there was no mats around his face... only body. I specifically asked to keep his eyelashes intact and they cut it off. Additionally in the picture I requested you can see the schnauzer still has a full beard, it's just more rounded and fluffed out. My baby's beard is completely gone and shaved, it breaks my heart that it's going to take a LONG time before he has his beard again. All the attributes that makes him a schnauzer...eyebrows, eyelashes, and beard.... gone. If I had wanted him completely shaved all around I could've done it myself at home. The shaving wasn't evenly done either there were sharp lines throughout. I can't believe I paid money for a jacked grooming. If the groomer has never done a cut like that or doesn't know how to, they could've just told me rather than attempt it and cover it up by shaving his face down. I won't be coming back. read more

Scheduled an appointment over the phone (forgot the name of the gal who helped me) for my little one, Preston. He's a 4 month old mini schnauzer who is full of energy and not to mention, also teething. On our call, I mentioned that I was worried about bringing him in as I didn't want him to be a nuisance to the groomer seeing that he has been nipping since his teething. The gal reassured me that it's totally normal & is expected from puppies and assured that it would all be ok. It definitely was a sigh of relief to hear, I would never want my pup to be "that dog". She also suggested the "puppy package" which is a less overwhelming grooming service for your fur baby who is under 6 months. This was Preston's first grooming so this was a perfect option. I Scheduled his appointment for a few days later on a Saturday and all was well. Everyone was very friendly. A little short of two hours later, I was called that he was done! He received the traditional schnauzer face trim and looked adorable and smelled so good! I didn't have a chance to speak with the groomer directly but I hope he was ok and wasn't too much of a pain! I normally take my dogs to Grooming Tails, but since this location is a lot closer to me, I go here sometimes. Compared to Grooming Tails, some of the services are cheaper but the quality of the service isn't as good as Grooming Tails. I don't like how when I walk in, I can't see what they're doing to my dog. At Grooming Tails, everything is out in the open, which is really nice. I know that my dogs are being taken care of because I literally can see them being groomed. At Dirty Paws, you can't see anything, and that makes me uncomfortable. Are the groomers insecure about being watched? Also, if you're in the waiting area, you can hear what the groomers are talking about. I heard someone make a rude comment about my dog's eye boogers.
