I took my 4 senior dogs in for grooming, it was our first time there. My dogs all came out looking great and appeared to have been well care for while in their care. Service was fast and it only took a few hours for all 4 dogs so they did not spend all day in a cage. Everyone was very nice, friendly and very considerate of the special needs of my senior dogs. This is the first time taking me "grandson" to the groomers. I am currently sitting for my daughter and homeboy needed a grooming. Anyway she found this spot and again this was my first time at a groomers and I was just not impressed. Location is in the oldest part of Temecula. I asked how much everything was going to cost. First off they're only a cash only business so that would've been nice to know in advance. Second, they insisted on trimming his hair all over. I told them no I don't think my daughter wants to cut the length just maybe around the main areas. Biggest turn off of this place was after they took him back, the lady at check in made this comment that made me lose interest she said, " well everyone is paid on commission I'm only the owner of the place". Like I'm sorry we don't want to trim his hair entirely and I'm sorry I asked what the fees were. Will we come back??? Nope! His hair was way too short on his head and on his feet. He kinda looked like they gave him a marine buzz cut. He didn't smell amazing like he usually does when my daughter takes him to his groomers in SD. When we picked him up I felt bad vibes and I hate that because I'm the customer here . I run several medical offices so I know exactly how customer service should be. read more

Five stars doesn't even do justice for this Review. I wish I could give more stars. This is my second time coming here and I couldn't be happier. I have a goldendoodle puppy (almost 11 months) who first off doesn't like being groomed (he especially hates the dryer) and secondly from what I hear and have seen, this breed is hard to groom. I've seen a lot of horror stories about bad goldendoodle hair cuts at other groomers. I was so scared to get him groomed anywhere so I was trying to give him at home hair cuts which would take me literally the entire day! Not fun! So finally I decided to try here and have fallen in love. New to the area abd needed a groomer, I feel so lucky to have found these guys by chance on Google. Our neighbors have 2 Great Pyrenees that were outdoors on their ranch, they were extremely matted (an enormous job for any groomer) and not used to leaving their property. We brought them in and the ladies took them back without hesitation. They were so efficient and thorough on their grooming, I truly feel like they helped give them a new lease on life. I have been back here a few times and I really couldn't be happier with the continued service. They are very accommodating to my schedule. The most important part is that they take such good care of my Wookie. When I pick him up her hardly wants to leave and he doesn't even like baths! He is familiar with the staff and knows he is going to be safe while he is there, and going to be pampered!! He looks great when I get him back. And no trauma, Nothing is worse than a bad groomer for a dog, and a bad one can cause serious complex, which I think my little boy had before I brought him here. Their grooming services are average. Overpriced, but no major qualms. Why the one-star review? When my family picked up our chow, the attendants' once-cheerful and polite demeanor was gone. They gave us a stone-cold look as we paid the bill and took our beloved chow out the door. The next day, we received a notice from the local animal control. It turns out the employees at Dirty Paws reported us to an animal control officer with charges of animal abuse due to matted fur. Firstly, this was a gross exaggeration. Our dog's fur was only slightly matted, and ironically, that is one of the reasons we took her to Dirty Paws. Their claim has no grounds. An officer from the local animal control came to our home the following day and found no signs of animal abuse or any of the accusations made by Dirty Paws. The claim was dismissed. Secondly and more importantly, I am disappointed that the employees at Dirty Paws did not raise any concerns to me when I picked up our dog. Instead, they stared me down and said not a word as they plotted to report me to animal services. Dirty Paws' failure to discuss their concerns with me - and instead report me to animal control for animal abuse - is extremely unprofessional. My family has owned pets in this city for four decades and never once have we treated them poorly. I am saddened that there are companies today that are capable of such back-handed behavior. I hope no other pet-owners and pet-lovers ever have to go through this experience. As a former small business owner myself, I can attest that this is not a good business practice. Being truthful and forward with your customers will go a long way. Rest assured, I will NOT be returning to Dirty Paws. UPDATE: in a comment below, the business owner dismisses my claims as false. Not sure whether she assumes I have a personal vendetta against this company or I simply enjoy writing long fake reviews in my spare time. My husband and I just recently moved to Temecula and rescued a cockapoo... we have another dog, a bulldog, so needless to say the grooming needs in our household were vastly increased when we welcomed our cockapoo into the home. I tried a few groomers closer to my home, but they never responded. I happened to be driving by and noticed the sign for Dirty Paws and checked them out on Yelp. Given the high marks, I gave them a call. They were super friendly on the phone, asking all the important information about my doggy-kids and explaining their products and services. I made an appointment to bring my cockapoo (in desperate need of a bath and grooming) the following weekend. With a little hesitation on how this would go - we ADORE our groomer in San Diego and if this didn't go well, I was contemplating making the drive back every few weeks for the grooming alone - Pokey (my dog) and I walked into Dirty Paws. The ladies were very warm and welcoming, had me fill out a little paperwork and explained Pokey would be the only dog groomed at the time to help reduce the stress and that on the first visit it might take a bit longer as they will take breaks so he doesn't overstress. The price was more than far (and cheaper than we pay in San Diego) and I loved that they took time to explain the different grooming options as we haven't had our cockapoo for very long and grooming needs beyond a bath were new for me. A few hours later they called to come pick up Pokey...and oh my goodness - he looked SO different I almost didn't recognize my own dog. Those ladies are pure magic with dogs, scissors, and a brush - holy guacamole! Not only did my dog look handsome (dashing even!), he was in super high spirits and left in a much better mood than when he came in. Great groomer! My 11 year old golden went in for a shave. It takes a good length of time to shave a golden and when returned my golden was SMILING, WAGGING HIS TAIL ---- LOVING HIS SPA DAY at DIRTY PAWS! I just moved here to Temecula and drive by this shop everyday on my way to work. I love the staff they are very friendly and professional. My dog went in looking pretty bad but when I picked him up he was running around and smiling. He's very timid around new people but warmed up to them fast. I, as did some of the other reviewers, really wanted to like this place. So much so that I continued to bring my dog here for reasons of convenience---- despite a nagging sense that, perhaps, it was not the best fit for us (i.e., the fact that the grooming activities are hidden out of sight from pet owners, no consideration for the importance of expedited service for senior dogs, and the owner's repeated unfamiliarity with my dog--- although we had been patronizing this business for a few years). Although the groomer was intially fine, there was a noticeable increase in indifference, despite the VERY handsome tips that she received. Finally, after having reached my threshold for said indifference, all of the above-referenced parenthetical concerns, and the fact that the owner has the personality of a rock, I reminded myself that my little girl deserves better. I am extraordinarily pleased to share that, for the last several months, our sweet little girl has been groomed by such a lovely and caring groomer. My dog absolutely LOVES her! So, I wish to thank you, Dirty Paws, for making it easy for me to finally say "no more" to your establishment and "yes, please!" to what has been the better choice and fit. read more

We love Dirty Paws! They are fantastic groomers, and most importantly, they love their furry clients. My dog actually enjoys her time there, and usually makes a few new pack pals while waiting for me to come pick her up. Also, today when I went to pick up my pup, it was raining really hard, and one of the gals working offered to help another customer carry her dog to the car, without the customer even asking.
