DISC is located on the first floor of a medical building in Encino. Dr. Rashti, located in the same building, urged me to get a knee MRI ASAP and recommended DISC. Employees here, especially Elizabeth, were super friendly and were eager to help with insurance verification etc. My insurance ultimately did not cover the MRI, but the prices here are fortunately very, very reasonable. I had to go for my first MRI ever and was given this place through insurance. I wholeheartedly recommend them. First, the office is beautiful and very calming when you walk in. Second, I cannot say enough about the staff. Each one was very friendly, which was comforting knowing I was a bit nervous about doing this to begin with. There was a glitch that they didn't receive authorization prior to my appointment. Several ladies were persistent to get the problem resolved. When I left, I was handed a disc of the actual procedure and told if I need to take it to others doctors in the future I would have it. A final report would come in 1-2 days. Came here to get an MRI through my insurance and I didn't have an appointment. Elizabeth called my insurance right away and even went as far as accommodating me same day and even explained what my insurance would cover and offered to give a discount even though I have a super high deductible . The staff was great, tech was so helpful especially because I had a hard time getting walking. They are very compassionate and understating staff it's nice to see that at a doctors office especially because they everyone is so rude these days. This is now officially my go to radiology!!! I learned about the DISC Radiology Center after my attorney scheduled an MRI for me with the company. The facility is clean and inviting, and the warm and compassionate welcome by the lovely Elizabeth immediately put me at ease. I completed the necessary paperwork and shortly thereafter was called into the MRI room. Here I was greeted by the wonderful and attentive MRI Tech Jordy, who guided me through the process and made sure that I was comfortable at all times. It only took one day for Radiologist Dr. Herbold to provide my attorney with a detailed MRI report. This was my second visit to this facility and I truly couldn't be happier . On both occasions specially today, I found this facility to be precisely what I needed. Ms Janet, I believe she's the director, was extremely cordial, accommodating , caring and professional. She gave a speedy appointment and took me in for a lumbar MRI. Yes ok, I had to wait only few minutes to be seen despite their patient load. The crew were very kind and completely took care of me and positioned/prepared me with most amount of sensitivity to my pain. What else one could ask for? The most friendly, down to earth and warm people I have ever encountered. Janet and Liz (I think that was her name) were the friendliest staff- they instantly made me feel comfortable as I had shared how scared I was to get a contrast MRI, and kept checking in on me throughout the visit. Not professional services. They took all my documents and left me unattended. The receptionist left for the day and told me to wait for 10 minutes. I was sitting there alone in the waiting area for 30 minutes waiting to proceed with MRI, no one was in the office, no one showed up. Terrible experience! read more

Worst staff ever! They place you on hold for a long time and then disconnect you. When calling again, they just place you on hold for another longer period. I had a horrible fall ended up needes 2 mri's the staff at Disc radiology were beyond helpful! I imitially called and kimmi was kimd enough to transfer me to elizabeth. Elizabeth immeadiatly explained What steps needed to be taken in order for my insurance to cover and what my outer pocket would be. She also explained that it could be a possibility that the doctor's office would take a couple of days to get my authorization approved. After explaining to them how much pretty I was in, she accommodated me right away same day. Once arriving I was greeted by Kimmy and Janet, who made everything comfortable for me to get my mri done even though I was an extreme pain. The MRI staff was very understanding incompassionate of my situation. I highly recommend this location to anybody who is dealing with insurances. And doctor's offices who go through p p o insurance. I showed up at the scheduled time for my MRI yesterday. The front desk worker could not find my prescription from the medical center where I am undergoing treatment. My doctor sent the prescription again by email. After 1 hour and 5 minutes of waiting, my question "When can I get the service?" the employee of this center replied, "Don't worry," and disappeared behind the wall again. In addition, this employee behaved very unprofessionally, she whispered to the front desk employee and looked meaningfully in my direction, this made me feel uncomfortable. By the time I was waiting, there were no other visitors in the waiting room. As a result, I never received the examination, was 1 hour late for my work and paid for parking. I absolutely do not recommend this center. read more

I had to come for an X-Ray and MRI and it was such a pleasurable experience. Everything worked so diligently to get me in and out as quickly as possible. Elizabeth was amazing! The MRI machine at my usual place was out of service and all they had was a smaller sized one, but I am severely claustrophobic and not a waif. So, my insurance company kindly called around and found Disc. We scheduled the appointment and we were assured that Disc had the appropriate sized MRI machine for a severely claustrophobic patient. I waited over an hour in a dingy, hot, and empty waiting room, with no receptionist and the smell of food wafting from the back. The only distraction was listening to loud conversations between workers in the back and trying not to sweat in an 80-degree waiting room. I was eventually ushered into a room that had the smallest sized MRI machine I have ever seen. The very nice tech tried to stuff me in the little tube like a sausage and even the two Xanax I had taken to calm myself for the test couldn't prevent an instant panic attack! I refused to continue. I tried explaining to the office lady who claimed she was the manager that they had misrepresented their equipment and she replied, "What do you mean by a big machine? This is big enough! What size did you want?" In a disparaging and accusatory tone; like she had done me a favor by allowing me to come in. What kind of a professional medical business makes fun of a patient and tries to make them feel the fool for complaining about being tricked?! Completely unacceptable. I spoke to the insurance company and they were shocked enough that they are going to review their contract with Disc. read more

Health care facility unprofessional and does not follow guidelines. For a healthcare facility that has mask required signs all over the place DOES NOT enforce them. Staff in the front and back not wearing a mask. As well answering their personal cell phones while helping clients and in front of waiting patients. Wow! As I sit hear in the lobby, cell phones going off on loud. Text messages notifications...ding ding ding. Oh wait...large boxes of things yet to uncover sitting all over around the waiting area. Called yesterday and spoke to a very sweet lady, and scheduled an appointment for an ultrasound. I have had a pain in my ribs for a week now, that does not go away. She got me in this morning at 9:30. It is right across the street from Jerry's deli. I was greeted when I walked in, then seen about 10 mins later. The woman who took me in was very warm, named Janet. She also was my technician for the ultrasound. She happened to be the same woman who booked my appointment. She had a wonderful bedside manner. we need more people in the healthcare industry like her. All in all it was a great experience thanks to Janet. This place is disgusting !!!!! First of all they are not following all of covid regulations and cleaning after every client. They wouldn't even sanitize the reusable pens and office products that people are constantly using as other doctors offices that I have been do. They do not check temperatures or sanitize doors and seats andafter use. I was sitting there for around 3 hours so I witnessed it all. Everyone in the office were rude and unprofessional (not to me) to elderly. I couldn't believe my eyes and ears. As I sat there I witnessed 4 incidents of rude and aggressive backlashes toward poor lonely elderly. There was a woman in extreme knee pain needing to use the restroom , the Janet person sent her to use the restroom and told her to stay there on the toilet until she is called , and in a rude joking manner told me and my husband thank god no more crying ... I gave her a look and said excuse me ? And she said no more crying from her it's annoying. She wasn't even crying she was moaning from pain and a medical staff needs to be more compassionate and less chatty and rude. The other long haired girl who was extremely nice to me , started yelling at this elderly patient who was waiting for her MRI appointment which her doctor supposedly had not sent the information over so she nicely asks her for the second time if she could check to see if it has come because she made this appointment from a week ago and she has back to back appointments with another doctor and the lady started yelling so loudly at her saying when I tell you to wait you wait then all of a sudden she pretended she doesn't speak Farsi and started mocking her yelling no Farsi no Farsi leave me alone. The other incident was another lady looking for a printer which wasn't really this offices job to do but someone told her they left her a paper on the table while she was using the restroom so she came out looking for the paper and she panicked because no one would listen to her or even respond. So she got a bit frustrated and she was very old so she started asking everyone have you seen my paper. The guy in the back was busy so he told her just wait and I see what I can do. When Janet came back to the front she nicely asked her if she by any chance saw which girl left the paper for her at the front desk so she could track her down... janets response made my jaw drop and I wish I had said something. She started yelling and asking if the lady had any problems hearing or understanding the man in the back ? The lady responded no I heard him. Then Janet proceeded in yelling because if you have a problem understanding maybe I can explain to you what waiting is so shut up and wait until we get to you. I mean if anyone ever spoke to my grand mother like that they would laying in a hospital bed and me in jail and that is putting it nicely. Then going to the back the xray guy was extremely nice but so unprofessional as well but I have nothing bad to say about him just lack of professionalism in this place was astounding. We took MRIs at a place in Northridge about two weeks ago and the difference between these two places were night and day. This review is solely for the lady at the front desk, she was so rude. I believe her name was Elizabeth. When I first called I was put on hold for over 10 minutes and had to hang up and call again for her to assist me, I told her I had been on the phone for a while waiting and she just said "how can I help you", no apology or anything. Okay fine, when I go in she asks me for an iD and just throws the paperwork for me to fill out not saying anything, I look at her and I just keep standing there and that's when she asked me to fill out the paperwork. Then when the next patients walked in she was extremely friendly to them. As far as the guy in the back who did my mri he was amazing and so understanding. He was great! This place is so organized and professional . I made a last minute appointment for an ultrasound and they were able to accommodate me . I got my results within 24 hours as promised . Horrible customer service. I called to make an appointment, they asked me to email a request which I did 3 times to 3 different email address because every time I sent an email I waited couple of days to hear back from them and when I called them they claim they never received my email. Finally after the third one they confirmed receiving one, then they asked me for insurance information which I emailed right away, did not hear back from anybody for a week, called them back wondering what's going on and they start all over claiming they never received proper insurance information, person on the phone was very rude and unprofessional, I've been waiting for this appointment for two weeks, I finally told them forget it I'll go somewhere else. I was referred to to disc MRI by my orthopedic surgeon . The front staff was very helpfull and nice. They took care of my insurance paper work. The MRI only took 12 min . Very clean and high tech... hopefully I dont have to come back but if I ever needed I will be back here. read more

I just left this place. I had several MRI done but never had someone watch me undress. She said she had to watch me. But what made it worst. 5 steps in to walking in she reaches for my shirt and lifts it up to see my pants she said. She never asked to touch me she just went for it. Terrible quality imaging from their MRI machine. A fraction of the images compared to other places. My ortho, at the time, insisted I go there as he is in the same building. It is cheaper to go to the imaging place the Lakers use. And the radiologist there will write a detailed report - 2 of my MRI studies were 3 pages. You'll get one line reports from Disc Radiology. I have no complaints about the greeter, she was friendly. Machines need replacing so the radiologist can do their job. To be fair to the radiologist, the poor image quality and lack of images may be the reason for one line reports. A good ortho should not be sending you here in my opinion. read more

Amazing staff especially, the Hispanic girl in the front desk. I took my father to get a MRI everything was done in a timely matter I was in and out. All my questions were answered. The Hispanic girl explained everything throughly in a language I understood. She was very comprehending about my father's condition. Made me feel better but especially catered to my father's need. If your appointment is 12:00 and you get there by 11:30, be aware that you will not get into the lab by 12:30. Very unorganized, I asked for a test result and it took about 10 minutes and after that They just realized they forgot to make my result ready. Came here to get some MRI's with my mother and father. The place was packed but I will have to say I was so impressed with the blond Mexican girl in front desk who helped us quickly and most importantly politely. She even went as far as helping my parents fill out their paper work getting them cold water(with out us even asking). My tech was the nice too there was also a another blond lady there greeting us in the hallway. Great service! Great people! Great overall! I would highly recommend this place.
