Cute spot! Went with friends on a hot summer day and it was a cute spot to get some ice cream. Like the disco balls, neon light and blondie music playing in the background. I tried a kiddie cup of Pistachio. It was good! They also offered what looked to be some yummy cookies. Note: No seating except for a bench outside.

I was strolling down Queen St while I was in town for work and I happened to walk right by Disco as I was heading into their next door neighbor to pick up some pizza. It was like a sign from the heavens was whispering to me... "get cookies," so of course I had to grab a few. This spot doesn't have just cookies, but ice cream too! The owner was a really sweet lady and she shared with me that they had just recently opened. I asked about what the most popular cookies have been so far and I took a few of those suggestions. I went with three, the coconut-ube cookie with cream cheese inside, an almond croissant one (looked just like one but in cookie form), and a toffee one with cornflakes. The coconut-ube one was my favorite by far. Quite honestly, I wish I had one right now as I type this. It was very moist and the filling was creamy. The entire thing was packed full of flavor. I would totally swing by here again or either more cookies or to try their ice cream!

Disco, a disco-themed ice cream and cookie spot, opened on Queen Street W (at Dovercourt Road) about 2 months ago. I've been wanting to check them out ... today I did and I had a lovely chat with owner, Gigi. I came home with a double scoop of Canadian Double Double (coffee, sugar and cream) for Gord and a double scoop of Bananarama (carmelized bananas, homemade shortbread, caramel fudge and chocolate chips) for me! Yum! Plus 6 cookies (2 chocolate chip, 2 Snickerdoodles and 2 Reece's Pieces). Everything is made in-house. Thanks, Gigi!

Disco is a dessert and ice cream shop located on Queen St. W. near Dovercourt. The small shop is take out only where they have a variety of homemade ice cream flavours and cookies available. They also have tshirts available as well. In regards to their ice cream, there are 3-4 different sizes you can get. You are also able to purchase pints as well. Flavour wise, they have a lot of traditional flavours but also some flavours like Bananarama, Canadian double double, blueberry cheesecake and PJ sandwich. My friend and I dropped by Disco on Tuesday afternoon. The store is closed on Mondays. Upon entering you are met with a display of ice cream choices. After much deliberation, I opted for a kiddie scoop of the PJ sandwich flavour while my friend ordered the pistachio. The ice cream is a bit thicker and gummier than other ice creams I've had. I didn't particularly like the texture of the ice cream. My PJ sandwich flavor had a strong peanut butter flavor with chunks of jam throughout. I tried my friend's pistachio flavor but found it to be too sweet. Overall, decent ice cream and staff were friendly. Good to try once but I likely won't be returning.

So the bear itself in the affogato was a solid icy chunk of milk (coz we chose the milk flavour) that just frozen. We added the affogato on top of it and while it looked aesthetic, the dessert didn't make sense at all. We were unable to break the frozen chunk or be able to mix it with the coffee and the coffee mixed with that frozen chunk submerged tasted really bad. Paying $16 for that wasn't worth it at all. The bingsu was good though. We got the mango bingsu bowl and it came loaded with mangoes and a marshmallow and an oreo cookie to make it look pretty! I don't think I'd come back to try anything else here. Was a little disappointed.

Delicious desserts, waffles ice cream, smoothies, and more. We ordered: Medium Mango Smoothie - $7.95 Simple Pleasures Waffle - $15.50 The waffle was light and fluffy and the toppings of fruit and chocolate were a great combination. I requested to be lighter on the chocolate but there was still a LOT of chocolate on our waffle. The mango smoothie was refreshing and sweet. I started going to Holy Choco when they first opened and their service was really good from some of the owner. Super attentive and caring staff. Unfortunately, it's since gone downhill since they've hired new staff and we had a number of small problems when visiting this time (dirty tables, dirty cutlery, requested if our food could be put in to go containers because they didn't want to do dishes, unfriendly, etc.) I hope they improve upon these staffing issues soon. Their seating area is good for friends and groups to loiter. Also, if you plan on bringing a laptop, they have MANY OUTLETS!!

For items: we chose strawberry, banana, halal marshmallow, waffle bites, brownie bites, and Oreo with a round of cappuccino's ($5.50 each). The interior is nicely decorated with a cute angel photo op in the back, and window bar seats and couches to choose from. Great spot for 2-4 people. The only criticism I could have was it took a while to get our order. So, it's not one of those places you can be dipping into expecting to be done in 20mins! We stayed for nearly 3 hours and enjoyed ourselves thoroughly.

We ordered the Bananarama and Coco Vanil. They are both awesome, although if I could only choose one, I'd go with Bananarama. It was amazing. I'll be coming back for more in the days to come. The service was fantastic. The individual that helped me was very nice. She had several recommendations. There is a nice patio to enjoy your treat, along with the views. Like I mentioned before, I'm definitely coming back for more. I highly recommend you visit BeaverTails when in Toronto. You will not be disappointed.

I got the Avalanche (Skor,Cheesecake, and Caramel) and I loved that they stretched the dough when we ordered and then start frying it right there. It really ensures that we get freshly fried Beaver Tails at the peak of their deliciousness. After I got mine slathered with the toppings I ordered, I dug in and as expected, it's really hot but SOOOOO good. It's like the concept of a donut only thinner and crispier, thus resulting in a much better texture and crunch throughout which I very much prefer over a donut actually. The cheesecake spread mingling with the sweet caramel, crunchy toffee bits, and crispy hot dough is just such a perfect combination. It's a bit of a mess to eat but sooooo worth it. It really is such a shame that there isn't an establishment like this in NYC because it could seriously do some REALLY good numbers over here I reckon. I HAVE to get this again when I come back up to Canada (unless ya'll want to build a place down across the border haha).

When I saw the price was $9.90 per chocolate, I was honestly a little surprised, bc it's sold under 7 per chocolate in Korea. But they were running a promotion until the 15th -- 5 for $30 -- which made it much more reasonable. I've never had the original version sold in Korea, so I can't compare it directly, but from what I've seen and heard, it seems pretty similar to what's trending there. Korean reviews are overwhelmingly positive, and people say it tastes just like the viral version. The texture is definitely chewy, just like the name suggests, and it's very sweet. Personally, it was a bit too sweet for my taste, but that's just my preference. That being said, I gave some as gifts and they absolutely loved it. So if you enjoy rich, sweet desserts -- or you're looking for something trendy and fun to share -- this would be a great choice. The shop itself is small and cozy, but very welcoming. The staff were friendly and made the experience pleasant. Overall, even though it's not exactly my personal favorite flavor-wise, I can understand the hype. It's a fun treat to try at least once, especially if you've been curious about the viral Korean Dubai chocolate trend. I'd recommend stopping by and taking advantage of the promo while it lasts!
