When I reach out no one returns a phone call. Now they've had my deposit for over a week and no one answers the phone or calls me back. Don't risk your family's vacation to these people! This trailer was supposed to be attached to the frame by 10 carriage bolts. It was missing the front 6, and of the 4 that were attached, 3 were loose. The problems began before we even managed to tow the trailer home to Eureka from Sacramento, where we met Gabriel's driver after his drive up from Santa Ana. The leaf spring was broken when we picked up the trailer. I didn't crawl beneath the trailer to check it out (big mistake), but I noticed the trailer was cockeyed the first time I looked into my rear view mirror. At that point I didn't know what the problem was. I stopped to get a sandwich in Healdsburg and that's when I looked for why the trailer was crabbing sideways behind my truck. Once the leaf spring on the driver side was seen to be broken in two, and as a result the axle was slipping backwards, I called "Gabriel" and told him of the problem. I told him I could fix it in Healdsburg, but it would cost whatever the leaf springs (two, as if one was broken, better to replace the one still intact, especially since it was soon discovered that the leaf spring had come from the supplier already cut a quarter of the way through!) might cost. Gabriel told me he would pay for the repairs. That never happened! A good samaritan and I removed and replaced both leaf springs the following morning and I made it the rest of the way up to Eureka that day. Then we found all the rest of the following problems and at that point we wanted our money back, which Gabriel said we'd get after he got the trailer back in Santa Ana. He sent up a driver to pick up the trailer and that is the last I've ever heard of Celerino de LaCruz. Lost $2321 on the deal! Here's the text I sent to Celerino de LaCruz. Here are the problems we found with the trailer you made for us: I have photos of most of these problems, but once you look at the trailer you'll see the problems for yourself. We want a full refund, minus the delivery costs. At this point I said I'll eat the $321 I spent having the faulty leaf springs replaced so that you could safely tow the trailer back to Santa Ana. This seems fair to both of us. 1. Leaf spring on driver side defective from factory. Cut in leaf spring at break point was painted black! 2. Plywood on bottom of trailer not all painted for water protection. 3. Water tank drain valve not securely mounted. 4. No weather gasket on trailer door. Gap between door and frame is 3/8" in places. Rain will easily get in trailer. 5. No caulking under edge of any of the three sinks. 6. Left hand sink does not align with drain pipe and was/is not properly connected. 7. Water pump not mounted to trailer. 8. Water heater not properly mounted to trailer. Falls off mounting screws. 9. Flooring coming up in front of door. 10. Flooring coming up under sink cabinet. 11. Refrigerator not properly secured. It slides out of cabinet while trailer is towed. 12. Cabinet doors have poor closures (magnets) and swing open while trailer is towed. 13. Cabinet paint already chipping or scratched off. 14. Hanging lamps swing into ceiling and mar the ceiling paint. One bulb fell out of lamp during travel. 15. Flip up window frames not lockable from inside. Driver side rear window latch repeatedly comes undone during towing. 16. Passenger side paper "tile" paneling coming off wall. 17. Holes drilled in error, three times on side window. Some holes are filled, most are not! 18. Extra error drilled large window mounting hole on side window not filled. 19. No water drip lip over door. Obvious water leak point. 20. Cabinet facing under sink not attached to frame. 21. Wheel rims already scratched up. One coat of paint and no clear coat.
