I had a great experience renting some party chairs for $1.10 each (they allow pick up Friday and return on Monday). I had a last minute need and just showed up without an appointment. Pulled up right to the door where there was space surrounding their equipment, which were many! Use a cc to pay so you don't have to put a security deposit down; they just pre-authorize an amount. They loaded and unloaded the chairs for me! Easy peasy! The only thing NOT easy was turning a left into their parking lot from Chapman! You can't enter from Prospect. Went in person (in advance) to reserve tables and chairs for a party on 2/16/25. Dealt with Jorge that day, who was great. Arrived for pick up 2/15/25 and the place was all locked up and closed for the day. EARLY!!!! No note, nothing. I understand that things happen. But how about a phone call? We would've come 2/14/25 if they needed us to. Leaving customers stranded is just unacceptable business behavior. I left a voicemail that day, hoping for a professional return call Monday morning, explaining what happened. Never heard a word from them, so I called the store. I spoke with Mike. Incredibly rude and unprofessional guy, who said he was the manager 'right now'. But couldn't tell me who the manager would be 'later' that I could speak to. So, I asked for the owner's name. Mike also refused to share the owner's name. I wasn't asking for an address or even a phone number for goodness' sake. I got a lot of run-around, as Mike was dancing around any questions I asked, trying to figure out what had happened Saturday. Just be kind and honest and apologetic when you leave a customer stranded. We've used this place forever, so this was really disappointing. The good news: we had to last minute scramble as my husband randomly google searched local rentals. We stumbled upon XLNT PARTY RENTALS in Orange. Julio answered my call, even though he was driving home already. Within the hour we had pictures and a quote. We crossed our fingers and set up delivery for the very next morning. Julio delivered (literally!) by 9:00am. The entire order went off smoothly and our 35 guests did not have to sit on the ground. Pick-up Monday also went great. I would highly recommend them! Grateful to XLNT PARTY RENTALS for coming through for us! Incredibly disappointed in Saddleback for being so unprofessional in not providing our rental, and even more so with Mike's ridiculous/rude/childish phone skills. Mike has been helping me all morning for a last minute rental of chairs (for the next day!!) The rate for both wedding and normal chairs are affordable and they offer delivery and pick up services. The customer service has been excellent and his ability to help me with all my concerns with patience has been wonderful. Thank you Mike! Okay , so here is the thing, they were very polite and helpful. I needed a rental last minute & they were very accommodating. But being that we are still dealing with COVID I was put off by the employees not wearing masks. It's putting everyone at risk for no good reason. I'm okay with whatever their policy is when there are no customers around, it seems like a small business, minimal exposure with each other perhaps. I needed to rent an auger for a few hours. I arrived at 2:30 PM on a Saturday. They told me if I didn't return the tool by 4 PM I would be charged a two day rental since they were closed on Sunday. They charge $102 per day. Save your money and go to Home Depot. They have the same tool rental for $86 a day and better service. read more

Great service and quick process. I've been to my share of tool rental places and this one has been my best experience so far. I was there on a Saturday morning which was a busy day at their shop as expected. There was one guy behind the counter signing out tools and one outside helping load tools in vehicles and there was a line of clients waiting. I cringed and thought this will take forever. However, they processed and loaded up everyone with speed and efficiency. I rented a machine that was much heavier than I expected. Although I had a truck and my son with me I told the guy I was concerned about being able to unload and reload it. He immediately said no problem I'll give u one of our trailers to tow it in. He set me up at no extra cost with the means to transport and easily load/unload the machine. I greatly appreciate their service and I know I will use them again. read more

We normally use these guys for table and chair rentals for holidays and they've always provided good service. We're moving and I had like 1/4 box of stuff but no shredder anymore. Really disappointed. Not professional at all. Careful when renting your items. Make sure you get what you rent. Had some party items delivered to our house and did not deliver the correct amount. We let them know when the items were returned that they did not deliver all the items. Instead of saying, sorry about that we wont charge for the items we did not deliver, they accused us of stealing the items and are now charging us for those items. They are charging so much that we could have bought twice as many items, would have been brand new and we would have owned them. So much for renting. NEVER AGAIN WILL I USE SADDLEBACK. read more

After 20 years of rental from saddleback in which I have not to many problems today I feel that I need to post bad customer service. I rented a concrete saw that I ended up not using and returned within 2 hours of the rental and the employee "mike" said that there was nothing he could do. I wasn't asking for a full refund on the rental just maybe 10-20% for understanding the customers mistake. I still have a trailer in which I will keep at 42.00. (I am no good going backwards with a trailer and there is no space to correct without running into cars parked on the street.) Called this place for Trailer information and got the worst phone customer service. Guy was rude would not let me speak to ask questions and hanged up as soon as he gave me 2 trailer sizes and what I think were prices since he was talking fast. Beware of renting here, they don't stand behind their equipment. I rented a concrete breaker and the tool broke after the first hour of use. It was a Sunday and they had closed by then. I returned it Monday at first thing and was told...did you use the tool?....my response was yes but the job couldn't be finished. The person told me his boss would call me if they were going to credit me anything. Needless to say no call...so I called. They told me they were not willing to do anything and charged me the full rental. If they has just split the rental with me I would have been satisfied....instead i am writing this review.
