Company SHOULD refund labor costs - definitely did NOT assist in making an informed decision but rather filling their pockets. Avoid this company unless you want to throw away your money. Check your paperwork before you agree to purchase. When I was shopping for a Geothermal installer I…read morehad narrowed it down to Covenant Heating and Cooling and another local company. Everything was close except; the other company was offering a 20-year warranty for their Geo system. The salesman from CHC told me that he would throw in the 20-year warranty if I went with them. (The extended warranty was available by the Bosche at an additional fee) and CHC said they would pay for the upgrade. At the same time, we also had an internet accessible Honeywell thermostat, Honeywell electronic air cleaner and a Carrier humidifier installed. After the first year we had the annual maintenance performed. That was when we discovered that the air cleaner was obsolete and filters were only offered by a third party. The 3rd party filters don't seem to be working, (due to excess dust on the furniture). Recently the outside sensor for the thermostat started eating batteries. The first batteries lasted for more than 4-years. The new lithium ion batteries since then only last about a month. I contacted Honeywell and they said the installer would need to contact them since they installed the unit. Although Honeywell has a 5-year warranty, CHC does not honor the warranty. They only warranty it for 1 year. With all of this, I thought I should check to ensure that I have the 20-year warranty that I was told that I was going to receive. Surprise.... they have no record of the offer by the salesman. Lesson learned: no matter how nice the salesman seems, make sure you get it in writing and although the manufacture has a good warranty, make sure your installer backs the warranty.

ARMSTRONG=THIEF I…read morehired Armstrong to put new motor in my furnace. My tec waqs out of town when I called his cell phone. I told him my problem the motor was making noise and made a foul smell and then stopped working. He told me I needed a new motor and to call Armstrong becase Steve Armstrong was honest and knew what he was doing. I called and told them my problem and I needed a new motor. The lady told me she would send a tec to my home in the afternoon. She told me about their charges and I said ok. When the tec came it took him 10 minutes to remove the motor and tell me I needed a new one this I already knew. Then he tells me he used the last part that mourning and he would have to go to the shop and get one. I asked why he came without the parts when I told them what the problem was . I thought maybe you had other problem. Right the motor making noise and making a foul odor . Then he told yes I would be paying for him to go to the shop and get the part. When I called the office and asked why the tec would come to the job without the parts needed the woman tells me this was just the luck of the draw. Then the tec charged me 1 and a half hours when he took right at a hour to do the job this includes going to the shop to get the motor. So if you want to be ripped off and over charged call Armstrong Heating & Air Conditioning ;(
