I had such a terrible experience with the last firearm purchase that I finally said "to hell with it just give me a refund". At this point I would rather spend the money at Cabela's/Bass Pro. The manager back there, Jeff, treats you like an absolute burden. Instead of applying customer service and working to help you, he's dismissive, arrogant and ridiculously rude. Worst customer service I have had in a VERY long time, probably ever. I bought 4 other firearms here in the last 90 days to add to my collection, and THIS WAS THE LAST TIME I DID ANY BUSINESS HERE! Not only do they have fishing gear, but they've got an endless amount of camping equipment, outdoor shoes, firearms, archery gear, kayaks, Carhartt clothing, pellet grills, and much more. If I lived closer to Bass Pro Shop or Cabela's, I'd go there, but I feel they have the same quality type of products here at Sportsmans Warehouse. And the prices are slightly lower price in my opinion. I can go to Big5, but their big sale items usually are considered cheap (some items, not all). I don't mind the text or email ads regarding what's on sale because I'll usually find a really good deal from time to time. Depending on the season. That's just another plus in my book! The main reason for this review is actually for associate, Colby. He helped me from start to finish with a major purchase. Answered many of my questions and offered useful knowledge. I have had the worst experience with Oregon Tackle that I have heard had with any company. I…read moreordered several colors of the same size spinner blade which I use to make my own spinning lures. When the package arrived, I saw the colors were correct but the blades were a size too small. Since the order arrived on Saturday I had to wait until Monday to call the company to find out what went wrong with my order. I talked to a man named Adam (I think the same person who took my original order) who proceeded to give me some kind of run around about their blades being one size off from everybody else who makes spinner components. But after some discussion he told me the proper size blades would get to me the next day,Tuesday, barely in time to make up some spinners for a scheduled fishing trip the following Wednesday. Well, Tuesday came and went and no blades from Oregon Tackle. I didn't even get them by the following Friday. So, I called again that afternoon and talked to Doug Hays who I believe is the owner of the company. Doug gave me an even bigger run around than Adam had. But again, Doug assured me the proper blades would arrive on Saturday. As I write this review on that Saturday, the mail has been delivered and NO blades from Oregon Tackle. These people must have zero business sense. I have been making my own spinners for almost 25 years using components from several different manufacturers and Oregon Tackle has the WORST customer service of any of them. I'm not sure I'd even call what they did to me "customer service". It was more like they thought they could send me anything they wanted and I'd be happy with it. If it weren't for the fact Oregon Tackle is the only spinner component manufacturer who offers the blade colors I was looking for I'd never do business with them again. Stay away from these people unless you want to get insulted, belittled and made to feel like any error is entirely your fault.

I was panicking thinking I'd have to go way out of my way and be even later to the lake than I was to begin with. But my boyfriend saved the day because he said just stop at Fisherman's. I said "what's Fisherman's." Lol. He told me where it was and immediately I knew WHERE it was but I had never, EVER seen it. Thankfully it was SO easy to find the tanks (albeit I bought butane vs propane...and had to go back to exchange it) and I was in and out. As I said I bought the WRONG tanks. But it was SO easy to go back and exchange them! I even saved a few dollars since the ones I needed were less! I'll definitely be going to Fisherman's for camping needs going forward! Their pricing is close to the big online retailers OR equal. And the employees were friendly and made my shopping and return experience easy.

No one bothered to mention over the phone that you need an appointment. Then at check-in, I'm told it's 45 minutes to an hour per gun. For four guns, that's basically my entire day gone. That's not service, that's incompetence. Ever since the switch from Cabela's to Bass Pro Shops, this place has clearly gone downhill. Poor communication, terrible process, and a complete lack of respect for people's time. If this is the new standard, it's no surprise this place is losing its reputation. It needs a serious overhaul, because right now it's inefficient, disorganized, and honestly just frustrating to deal with.

It's much better than the one on 82nd Street, where the staff immediately said it didn't meet the refund policy, as if they hadn't been trained at all. They didn't understand anything, not even the difference between air guns and real ammunition guns, and just said I couldn't return it! Their quality needs to be improved!
