The refund wasn't in cash, but in store credit, which I can at least use in the store. It's much better than the one on 82nd Street, where the staff immediately said it didn't meet the refund policy, as if they hadn't been trained at all. They didn't understand anything, not even the difference between air guns and real ammunition guns, and just said I couldn't return it! Their quality needs to be improved!

I even consulted them on what scope to buy and hardware. Finally got my rifle and all my mounting supplies together to come in and get the scope on my new gun. I was told they were too busy today to do it and asked when would be a good time to bring it in. The girl at the front counter called back and then informed me after the measure 114 scare is over. I told her that's not what they said last week when I picked my rifle up and that they were doing a scope mount at that time. she just apologized and here I am with a rifle with no fixed sites and no scope mounted on it either. Although I have bought many times from this place in the past the service just continues to decline. I'll take my business and money somewhere else in the future.

They've got enough to outfit a small army of marathon runners, golfers, and folks who just wanna look athletic while ordering takeout. You want Nike? They got it. You want those hard-to-find Crocs in that oddly specific color you saw online at 2 a.m.? Boom right there on the shelf like they've been waiting on you personally. Now here's the thing about ordering online you click, you wait, you pray it fits. Here? You just walk in, try it on, and walk out feelin' like you made a good life decision for once. No three-week shipping, no "sorry, sold out," no heartbreak. Just instant gratification, the way the good Lord and credit cards intended. And don't even get me started on the gear. He told me he couldn't do the main job, but he did a minor bit of work that we discussed. The charge would be what we agreed on. Went to pick up the guns, and he explained why he couldn't do the work we discussed, but did the minor job (maybe 30 min tops). I had to drive to get cash. I was going to argue, but didn't feel safe confronting him (he open carries). Went home, and did some research at the manufacturer's website. Not only was it possible, but it was easy. Took me maybe 45 minutes to do the job. In taking one of the revolvers apart, I found that he had reinserted the trigger pin in backwards. I contacted him about the fact that I did the work he said, as a "master gunsmith" couldn't do. He got upset, but promised to refund some of the cash I paid. I've been waiting two weeks. No check. He's probably OK for basic stuff, but for anything else? Nope.

I have had the worst experience with Oregon Tackle that I have heard had with any company. I…read moreordered several colors of the same size spinner blade which I use to make my own spinning lures. When the package arrived, I saw the colors were correct but the blades were a size too small. Since the order arrived on Saturday I had to wait until Monday to call the company to find out what went wrong with my order. I talked to a man named Adam (I think the same person who took my original order) who proceeded to give me some kind of run around about their blades being one size off from everybody else who makes spinner components. But after some discussion he told me the proper size blades would get to me the next day,Tuesday, barely in time to make up some spinners for a scheduled fishing trip the following Wednesday. Well, Tuesday came and went and no blades from Oregon Tackle. I didn't even get them by the following Friday. So, I called again that afternoon and talked to Doug Hays who I believe is the owner of the company. Doug gave me an even bigger run around than Adam had. But again, Doug assured me the proper blades would arrive on Saturday. As I write this review on that Saturday, the mail has been delivered and NO blades from Oregon Tackle. These people must have zero business sense. I have been making my own spinners for almost 25 years using components from several different manufacturers and Oregon Tackle has the WORST customer service of any of them. I'm not sure I'd even call what they did to me "customer service". It was more like they thought they could send me anything they wanted and I'd be happy with it. If it weren't for the fact Oregon Tackle is the only spinner component manufacturer who offers the blade colors I was looking for I'd never do business with them again. Stay away from these people unless you want to get insulted, belittled and made to feel like any error is entirely your fault.

They set up a like-new Trek Domane with my pedals and got it adjusted for my seat height. I asked about riding routes. They described some local rides, but because it was blowing a gale, they wisely suggested I cross the river and ride in Pinchot Nat'l Forest. Great ride. Hood River is wonderful, and I'll be coming back to Mountain View next time I'm in the area.
