This place is terrible. I bought a Ram Truck from their sister store in chowchilla and got the extended warranty. The sales rep told me when I bought the truck that they would fix the broken tailgate trim piece for free at their other location in madera. So I scheduled an appointment for a few weeks out and when the day arrived I showed up, on time. I waited, 5 hours. For them to complete nothing and tell me they lost the piece and it had to be reordered. Not to mention, several people with Toyotas came in and out of the waiting room. They prioritize Toyota, not their clientele. Our sales guy Meng was friendly, responded quickly whenever I had questions, and was not pushy. He was willing to work with me, especially when I explained that I couldn't make a down payment, and he showed flexibility in accommodating my situation. However, I felt somewhat pressured into adding all of the optional extras, and the floor manager was less flexible during the final stages of the process. Overall, Meng's customer service was great, but there could be more transparency and less pressure in the sales process. I also found it easy to trade in my old car, which made the overall process smoother. If you decide to buy from here, be sure to ask for Meng. When it was time to sign the paperwork for financing, Robert informed me that he had found a lower monthly payment and a more favorable APR, which was a nice surprise. DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE HERE!! This is a shady group of people. Not only was our "Representative", Jerod, useless. They practically refuse to let you speak to management. Jerod told us that our warranty covered a brand new transmission, we just had to drive 1,000 miles and wait 45 days. So of course we did just that. Then we bring it back, receive NO communication from him for days and finally he gets back to us, "the warranty won't cover, it's a pre-existing condition". Throughout the weeks they had my vehicle they communicate little to nothing with us. At this point I did not trust them to have or work on my vehicle and we had to just show up to pick it up because we cannot get in contact with anyone and again we are denied access to a management and no one answers their phones or calls back. They forced us to pay $1694 to release the car. So we pay in protest and what do you know? Car is sitting in the service lot with a tag do not start because the transmission pan was left completely disassembled. They provide no rental, no communication and just plain bad business! Please avoid buying Chevy vehicles, they put low quality paint and you will regret it down the road. We bought a brand new 2017 Chevy Malibu from this dealership and within the first 3 years the vehicles clear coat was completely gone on the hood, roof & trunk and now barely 5 years after owning the Malibu the paint is completely ruined. Also the black door appliqué is ruined on all 4 doors, moisture and soap from car washes get in between the black plastic pieces and looks worse over time. This is a problem with all Malibu's if you research online. It's frustrating and I seriously can't believe the paint didn't last even 5 years. Especially on a brand new car. So if you purchase a Chevy vehicle plan on getting a new paint job the first few years to correct Chevy's problem. read more

It's the little things that are missing. took car one time and the service department found two lights out , said they would order and call when the parts arrived. Never got a call from Toyota, Hey things happen. Next service. same lights out ,but technician did not find any lights brunt out. Do mechanics that have enough time to make the checks? I guess I need to go to the after market store, for replacements. When I first purchased tires, at Madera rotation was free. i would not take a vehicle to get serviced for anything at Madera Auto Center! I had been taking my car to them for maintenance since I first purchased it and they always tried to have me pay for extra things the cat didn't need because it was a new car. They try to take advantage of especially if your a female because the figure you don't know anything about vehicles. When I took my vehicle in for a diagnostic to check on something they said they couldn't find anything wrong and wanted to charge me $700 for what they thought might be the problem. I refused the service at the time because I wanted to check on my warranty. when I asked the mechanic if there was anything else wrong with the car that they were able to diagnose he said no and that it would be ok to wait on the service they had mentioned. When the car started running poorly I took it to a diagnostic specialist and that's when they told me that it would need a new transmission because the mechanic who had checked on it last had left the cap off and it had leaked transmission oil out and ruined it and the repair bill would be $6000. I called Madera Auto Center and spoke with a manager in the service department and sent him a copy of the service record from the auto shop I took it to and their response was that they were not liable, when they should be because if one of their mechanics had not left the cap off on the cars transmission there would not have been a leak and the car transmission would not have been ruined! i would advise against taking a vehicle to Madera Auto Center they were negligent with my car and maybe with others also and they won't take responsibility for it! read more

Later that evening after discussing the final "out the door" price including my trade-in, we made the decision to go for it first thing Sunday morning!!! It was about a 120 mile drive from home, and we had plans for a BBQ with friends later in the afternoon. We arrived about 10-15 minutes before the dealership opened, and were nicely greeted by Brandon. Jason quickly took our trade-in for a drive and inspection, while we test drove the new Rubicon. So I am really late to writing this review but as I admired my husband's car I remembered I never wrote this. In December my husband and I decided it was time for a new car. Being the obnoxious car guy that he is, he had his mind set on the new 2022 GR86, but not just any GR86, it HAD to be a red one and it HAD to be manual. Anyone trying to get this car knows that it is hard enough finding the car itself, let alone in red. I called every dealership in California and even started looking in other states out of pure desperation. Each place told me the same thing, I was looking for a unicorn. By some miracle, after looking online at 2 in the morning, I came across something on Carsoup and figured "what do I have to lose?" The very next day, not even a few hours into the morning, I get a call from this wonderful center telling me they just so happened to have this exact car coming in. Now Madera is 5 hours away from where we live and no dealerships were ever willing to hold the car for us. I asked if there was any way they could hold the car and my husband and I would drive down the very next day and put down the deposit. They told me this isn't normally something they do, but they could tell just how important this was to us and told us they would keep it for us until we got there because we were coming from so far. We came the very next day after bracing that drive and worked with Alex. Alex walked us through everything and just like that, BAM! That unicorn was finally ours. Considering the times we're are in, the MSRP was incredibly reasonable, especially compared to most dealerships. The car itself did not come in for a few weeks after that, but everyone was so incredibly wonderful. They were the only dealership that really worked with us and knew how in demand this car was, yet they kept it an entire day just because they knew we were racing down 5 hours to come purchase it. You want your engine cleaned? Take it somewhere else and pay more money unless you want a half-assed job for a cheap price and do not mind wasting your time. Their definition of "engine cleaning" is different than mine. It appears they wiped down the top of the intake manifold, hoses, and the top of the engine bay and then slathered only the most visible plastic/rubber parts with armorall. I seen no evidence of cleaning and/or power washing the block, heads, valve covers, etc. I could have paid a teenager $20 to do the same job. My advice to Madera Auto Center is to be more descriptive of the job. It is not "engine cleaning". Better yet, do a better job, indicative of a car dealer and charge accordingly. I would have paid more money had I known it was going to be a half-assed job. Kitty said I could bring the vehicle back next week for a "touchup". I do not have time for that. read more

I purchased my new first car here on my own and all I have gotten is a headache. It began making noises immediately. GM suggested a quick fix but it did not work. I could never get a rental while the so repairs happen could. They always said no. Even though it was being paid with my policy. The noise continues they always brush me off or quote lots of prices at me knowing I can not afford them. Almost had major accidents with a brand new car! brakes skipped and still no fix. Brakes skipped and hit a pole and they still do not want to be responsible. Service dept intimidates you with outrageous amounts, never fixed anything I was sold a lot lemon period. They lied on the paperwork,saying I refused. I did not refuse, I refused the prices I would have pay to get my car fixed. Trying to make me get the same alignment within three weeks. If it was done at all, they would not say that it is needed. I always had oil change on time, but with warrenties and extended coverages two months out of the gate was pretty quick. I missed job interview in Arizona they knew it still took back the rental. With the plan I carry, this whole two years I should have had a rental, a drop off and or pick up as promised. I received nothing but excuses. And this was way before pandemic. I have lost sleep, grades, peace, money and trust in car dealerships. This dishonesty extends to both dealers Madera and Fresno.The over charges when they never worked on my car, the disrespect of having an appointment and their buddies walk up and do what they want right in your face. I want compensation for two years of anguish and humiliation. My money and tips spend just like everyone else's. Why are they evil and disheartening. I don't get it . After recently purchasing a Toyota 4Runner here, my family and I can confidently say that the staff at Madera truly live up to that slogan because of the experience that far exceeded our expectations. When I contacted Madera Auto Center about a 2018 4Runner, I was already impressed with the correspondence between Lisa Dodd and I because she was so polite, professional, and knowledgeable. She was such a pleasure to work with, and because of that we did not hesitate to work with the dealership despite being 130 miles away from them. Unfortunately, we never got to meet Lisa because she was on vacation, but I'm glad to say our positive experience was maintained when she referred us over to Direct Salesperson Houa Xiong, who was really personable, well-mannered, and just a great person to work with! He had the car ready for us as soon as we arrived, and he made the transition into the finance office seamless. Lupe Martinez, the finance manager, explained the options for extended warranties/service packages and offered us packages that were actually catered to our needs. On our way back home we were even thanked by Lisa even though she was on vacation. Madera Auto Center was a breath of fresh air compared to other dealerships. They are a family-owned business, and one of the few dealerships that still understands that the core of their business is based on the relationship with the customers. They really put their customers first, which was evident by the way Lisa, Houa, Lupe and the rest of the staff treated us when we bought our 4Runner. Sales with MAC was fine Herman helped me with my first car and was very kind to my parents who came along with me. I got a used Toyota Corolla the car needed paint job on the bbottom right and I was going to bring it back another day to get the paint job and it to get an extra set of keys. Well they added that to the contract they also added that when I brought in the car I would be getting a rental. Keep in mind that I live about one hour away from Madera and 45mins away from Fresno. So anyways the day that I take the car I just take my license and wallet. Once I get there kitty and the girl in the front office begin telling me that I need my insurance card and a $200 deposit to get the rental. To be honest I would have not minded bringing in the insurance card and the $200 deposit if I would've been told in advance The day The front person called to set my arrangement she should've told me what exactly I needed because I have never even rented a car before. Long story short kitty and the girl in the front were giving me so much attitude and I was basically stranded in Madera because I was not able to get the rental. This is at eight in the morning I'm trying to get a ride keep in mind I live one whole hour away from this place. I didn't get a rental and I am a college student attending Fresno state it was a complete inconvenience because I had to find rides to school all because I was not giving the rental that was put in the contract when I got my car. If my car ever needs some thing that is the last place I would go I would rather go somewhere else. Also I just felt as if they didn't even care what I was going to go through the service for the service department is awful.
