I went to Discount Tires because one of my tires was going flat from a nail that punctured the sidewall of the tire. Unfortunately, it was not able to be fixed due to the location of the nail. Mario was extremely professional and friendly and explained everything to me. It was actually time to replace all four tires anyway and Mario gave me a great deal. They also checked over my Jeep and gave me some recommendations on services that needed attention, which included an oil leak, which I was already aware of. Honest guys full of integrity! 10 of 10 for outstanding service! Brendan is the one who helped me out. I stopped in to get a second opinion after my "check tire pressure" signal came on. Another tire shop in Hollywood told me my tire was basically halfway full of air and that I needed to get it changed as soon as possible. Then proceeded to quote me over $150+ to change it (even after I told him I just changed my front two tires a few weeks ago and didn't have the budget for it at the moment). The day after, I take my car to Discount (had positive experiences at the Burbank location in the past and thought why not get a second opinion). Brendan checked all four tires and informed me that all of my four tires were good as far as tire pressure. I let him know about the opinion of the first shop and he goes to check the tire again. This time, he comes back with a full report explaining to me the year of my tires (2017) and how often they typically should be changed, answering my questions thoroughly around risk and how long they might last, options that better fit my budget needs too etc. He even checked my spare tire in my trunk too and helped take a photo of my tire measurements if I needed to take it elsewhere. Lastly, he even mentioned that the initial place who changed my front tires should have given new tire valves as well (which is something I will follow up and check in about). It felt like he was truly listening and not out to just "get a sale" like other places. Highly recommend Brendan and this place. Outstanding Service - Ask for Mike! My wife's rear tire popped while she was driving, and she needed the car that same evening for work. I called at least five different tire shops looking for a specific tire, and every one of them told me the earliest they could get it was Thursday or Friday. Then I called Discount Tire & Service Center in Studio City and spoke with Mike. I explained the situation, and Mike said he'd do his best to make it work. I came in to get a tire patched and, until this visit, had never had any issues. I was waiting in line with one person ahead of me and a couple behind me. I waited patiently for my turn. After finishing with the customer in front of me, Mario called me up--but then immediately asked me to step aside so he could help the couple behind me instead. At first, I second-guessed myself and assumed maybe their checkout process would be quicker than my check-in. Still, something didn't sit right, so I timed it. It actually took longer to assist them than it would have taken to check me in. I waited until my car was finished before addressing it, because that's simply not how lines work. When it was time to check out, I calmly asked Mario why I had been skipped when I was next. The manager immediately interrupted. I explained the situation, and instead of addressing the question, he asked Mario if the couple had been ready to go. When Mario said yes, I repeated my question--what was the rationale, especially since helping them took longer? The manager responded with a tense, dismissive apology: "Sorry our service wasn't up to your expectations," delivered with clear irritation. When I tried again to get an answer from Mario, the manager cut in once more with the same tone, and Mario stayed silent, completely ignoring me. I have nothing to say but Mike is absolutely amazing! I came in with a tire that got flat on the freeway in route to a very important doctors appointment for my mom. She was the first store I found on my way to stop out to fix my tire.. it was a Saturday and very busy at his store. My mom is in a wheelchair and very hard for her to move quickly or easily. My dad walks with a cane. He put us ahead of the line since it ended up only being a patch for the tire, he got us out quickly and we were able to make it to our doctor appointment on time. His customer service is beyond what was needed of him. He didn't need to do it, but he chose to do it. I live about 30 minutes away from his store, but Mike just earned a customer for life. I got to pick up my car - he immediately has me tap my card for payment before showing me an invoice. THEN proceeds to be annoyed when I want to read through said invoice before signing. He tells me "If I don't want to sign he can just go ahead and take the part out of the car". TOTALLY UNPROFESSIONAL! I have the right to look over an invoice before signing. I went there thinking it was gonna be perfectly fine since they do a lot of bmw M cars, but the do take a while, I waited 2hrs and 30 mins, was the best price around. I was in for a treat, after leaving, the next day I noticed at higher speeds my steering wheel was shaking pretty bad, I thought it was my suspension or alignment maybe. Nope, they balance there wheels like they were drunk, one of them they didn't even balance! I had my usual mobile guy come a rebalance these for him to tell me they were all wrong, every wheel was wrong. My front driver side wheel had 2 sets of weights on it across from each other. It's not supposed to be like that. All the other wheels were way off. Won't be back there. read more
