My tire light came on and the Discount Tire people on 71 were able to put air in the tire but couldn't get the lug nut off/ the stud was free floating. I'd bought the rim at Discount Tire and was told to go to the original location on Research Blvd. I went and Cody was able to provide me with a referral to Rush Automotive. Cody had to step outside the waiting area to print something and the other staff were very friendly and professional making sure that I'd been helped. I'd highly recommend them! read more

Friendly location with prompt service but they need to focus on details. I had purchased new rims to be installed with my tires but the mechanics were not notified and I ran out to the garage to stop them as they put the tires on the old wheels. They also didn't check the TPMS pressure sensor batteries and I had a failure as I left the garage. I had to come back the next day and have all of the sensors replaced. They did need replacement, but it would've saved me another trip out if they could've just paid attention to the monitor, which was showing the tires were not all registering properly. PROS: ----------- (1) I checked the price for this brand of tires at several places, Discount Tire was the cheapest. (2) Easy to make an appointment online. (3) Took them 34 minutes to install the new tires. CONS: --------------- Tires inflated to wrong pressure. Tech came out and told me the car was ready, all tires inflated to 35 psi. I said the spec for the front tires is 36 psi. He didn't apologize, or say he would put more air in, he just said, "Okay, meet me out front." I wasn't going to push it because I could just add air at home. Let the tires sit overnight and checked in the morning and the fronts were 36 (proper), but the rears were only 33. It's not a big deal as long as you're willing to deal with the tire pressure yourself. I like to add +2psi anyway so I can inflate every 2 months instead of every month. read more

Really bad experience at this location, I went in because I hit a pothole and my tire popped, asked if the wheel look okay which the guy who serviced me first said it was bad and I need a new rim, then said it need all 4 rims to match even though the wheel was under warranty. I tried to do it because of course i thought they were the experts, asked me to apply for the credit card and I specifically asked "its a soft pull, right?" and the guy said it was, not even a minute later I got a notification saying I got a hard pull like dude if they had said it was a hard pull I would've left because he was trying to upsell me, I buy a single rim, they put the wrong rim on anyway, came back had it swapped, then the next day I go back in to see if my original wheel was usable, the guy who I talked to then, super cool and professional and told me theres only a small dent, completely usable wheel still and put a new wheel on it. While I was waiting the guy from the previous day looked at me, then my car, then had an annoyed looked on his face, I won't come back to this location because of that and the hard pull on my credit. So I call this location to let them know today and I get a guy on the phone that knows absolutely nothing. He said my info wasn't in his computer but yet the Palmer location had my info. So after ending the conversation with the research location employee. I quickly called the Palmer location and they took care of me. It's a good thing you have those Palmer gentleman. For reference, I love Discount Tire and the services they provide. Every time I come in, I'm greeted with a smile and enthusiasm. The warranties that they offer are amazing, and they do a great job everytime. My problem resides in a situation that I'm currently in. I left my car there for a routine spare tire change on February 10th just before their closing hours, around 5:30 PM. I came back to my car's trunk not being able to close and my left tail light completely broken. When I spoke to Alex, the store manager, he told me that he would file a claim, and he did. To this day, two weeks after the accident, I have not yet to hear anything in regards to this claim to the point where I needed to get my insurance involved. My car is still in the shop, and this is far from a minor inconvenience. It is frustrating and disappointing at the same time. I felt like the lack of integrity from the staff in not taking accountability truly stands out to me in this situation. It's even more frustrating to me that he, or the branch has NOT taken interest or checked in on me or the situation that they put me in. This move alone shows the lack of hospitality and professionalism in something in an inconvenience that I had no part of. While I love this company, again, it is hard to trust a branch that does not take accountability for its actions. I would continue taking my car here, but not without a grain of caution. I would record my car's condition before getting it serviced because so far, they have shown zero interest in showing accountability for their actions. I can't believe I thought about going anywhere else for tires. I bought an expensive pair of Yokohamas 5 years ago. I got the lifetime certificate of replacement so they've each been replaced for a few bucks along the way do to nail damage to the wall. So it's really like I got a bogo. I knew I wasn't going to have this car for quite as long so I didn't want to spend as much this time around. I almost decided to save an extra $150 to go to Walmart because they had some bottom dollar set also with a lifetime guarantee. However, I've never been dissatisfied with Discount tire so I coughed up the difference, paid online and made an appointment for 3 hours later this morning. They were ready for my appointment, they not only informed me but also showed me that my security lugnut socket was on the verge of being stripped and broken. They offered to put plain lugnuts in. I just assumed I could go to Nissan afterwards and get a new socket and new security luguts when I was done here but then, five minutes later, he came back and said that he found another locking socket that was the same exact pattern and that I could have it. How cool is that? They also noticed that I had purchased new windshield wiper blades somewhere else that were sitting in the front seat. I've been meaning to put them on for days now. They offered to put them on for free even though I didn't buy them there. How cool is that? They also didn't mind that I check my brake pads while they had the tires off to make sure they still had plenty of life left in them. How cool is that? Finally , they were also very quick and kind the whole time. Once I got on the road, I noticed my tires were extremely quiet compared to the ones they replaced, these won't last as long. They're only 40,000 miles as opposed to 80,000 miles like the last set, but they were totally worth the money and I won't go anywhere else but Discount tire for now. My wife is also a customer so we are a Discount tire family for life. read more

Sometimes a tried and true national chain is needed when you find yourself in an absolute pickle. I wasn't expecting to have a piece of shrapnel in my back left tire but here we are! Once my friend and I changed the tire (adulting 101 must), I knew it was time to go get this tire properly replaced. Called around a few local shops and no one had my specific tire in stock; however, I remember Discount Tire always has the oddest of tires in stock. After a quick call they assured me they had it in stock and could get me situated. Once I arrived, there were a few folks in the lobby and being serviced. I'm guessing the Tire Gods took pity on me because they said they could get me in and out within fifteen minutes! Paid the fee and also paid for the warranty and I was good to go.
