I started coming here about four years ago and I thought the service was really good even if they were busy or if there was a wait. They would contact you and keep you in the loop so you know what's happening and when your turn will be. Those days are long gone. We all know it's covid-19 season and we expect to have certain inconveniences. During this time. But you aren't letting people know what's going on. Tell them to wait in their car for 25 minutes and someone would come get us. But we waited an hour and a half. In the Heat of Arizona. Not knowing that the lobby was open. Some guy in a red Polo shirt. Maybe he's the manager. He's tall slender build. He has very poor skills in communicating with people with professionalism and courtesy. I overheard him talking to customers and also a brief encounter with myself. The technicians goof around in the Bays singing songs and throwing customers Keys over to each other in a plastic bag. Yet when they hand me my keys the guy's hands were covered in dirt and black and I can guarantee you the inside of my vehicle was not protected with plastic on the seats area or the steering wheel. read more

Frank got me in of course it is an expensive cost four 4 new tires but I needed them and because as he explained the radial was showing and I am lucky didnt have a blown tire on the freeway it was best to get it done. Our car showed low tire pressure at 5:35 pm. We were close to another Discount tire at 132nd and McDowell and when we got there, we were told to come to this Discount Tire because they were backed up and we would have to leave our car overnight (not possible). We quickly called this store and the manager, Nicholas, could not have been more helpful. We got there just before closing time at 6 pm and they quickly attended to our problem. Gregg is "big league"! Driving across country from CA to FL pulling a single axel trailer with 12-inch tires. One trailer tire obtained sudden, severe damage and the other one was about to "go" too. We pulled into Discount Tire and they did not have any 12-inch tires available. Gregg said, "Don't worry about we'll get you rollin' again. What direction are you headed?" I said I-10 East to FL. He said, "Give me 5 minutes". While I waited he put my spare on to meet the immediate need. However I knew I still needed two new tires. Within minutes he called me to the counter. He said he found one tire at Discount Tire in Mesa. He told me the exact address and told me to go there, Dustin was waiting for me. He said Dustin only had one so he said to travel a little further on the 10 and Andrew at Discount Tire in Chandler is also waiting for me. When I arrived at the two other locations, which were not far away, both Discount Tires were along my route and the employees were waiting for me and serviced me right away. All three locations were sensitive to the fact that we were commuting across country and didn't have time to waste. Thanks to Gregg we spent less than 15 minutes at each of the 3 Discount locations. James Clement gets credit too because he's the boss man, he allowed Gregg to devote his time to me, and he personally took care of all of the other customers in the store so Gregg can help me ASAP. My daughter on 8-29-20 who works at the chick filet near location came in for a flat tire. She is 22 yo and never had to handle this situation. The associate helping her told her that they could not fix flat, she would need a new tire. That is fine. He proceeded to tell her all 4 needed replaced. They were unsafe to drive on. I can tell you that was not a true statement. I understand she would probably need 2 tires. However he Sold her 3 tires. Makes no sense. Because she only had enough money for 3. I am so happy ! Driving down the freeway, when a semi truck blew a tire and something hit my car, and punctured my tire. Wouldn't Go Anywhere Else. The crew at Discount Tires is second to none. When I noticed, a small leak in one of my tires. I brought my vehicle to Discount Tire to have the tire looked at before it went flat. Once I arrived at Discount Tires I noticed it was almost closing time. I asked the sales associate if there was any possibility to have a tire checked for a leak, and he said, "absolutely". My tire had a chunk or wood in it. I must have ran over something and didn't realize it. The folks at Discount Tire had me back on the road in no time at all. Discount Tire has consistently performed at a level seldom seen these days. The sales force is knowledgeable and can make solid suggestions if you give them sufficient information as to your needs. I am so glad I went to and will continue to go to Discount Tires. read more

I want to start this review by saying I have been a Discount Tire fan for some time now, but with my visit today i must say, all they care about is selling a tire. They teach their employee's sell sell sell. Just sell don't listen to the customer just sell. high pressure, and lie to them, just as long as you sell them tires..... On this visit I got a good taste of this big time. so i took my business else where. Oh and I must say they do not match competitors prices, (they advertise it but they wouldn't) because when show the pricing from the other company, on the same exact tire, he just went on about that it wasn't the same (and i tried telling him what was not the same and he would not listen). I truly think they think all customer are complete idiots. Now i will admit i dont know every thing bout all the different tire issues, but i know enough to ask and learn. Well this idiot took his business else where. What a shame, (I have 4 high end vechiles and never just get the cheapest tires.) cause i never minded waiting hours to have tires installed. I lightly bumped the curb because this stupid lady was parked in the middle of the road. I waited a few mins and noticed that she was not going to move. So I decided to go around her and I did not see the curb was shaped funny (zig zag like pattern) so I nicked it. When I got home I saw a crack in my tire. =( DAMN IT! So I went to Discount Tire to check on the status of my tire. I thought great, $$$ to replace it. He nice rep checked it out and said I am good to go. I suffered a rear inside dual blow out on the 10 freeway, 75 miles west of Avondale, AZ. Being unfamiliar with area, I first contacted Steve at the Phoenix store. He didn't have the seven tires I needed so he referred me to the closer Avondale store. I spoke to Tom Roberts. He told me he had six tires and would have the seventh when I arrived. Tom and his crew waited past closing time for me to arrive and had six tires mounted on my motorhome and the seventh mounted in the spare tire holder in less than 45 minutes. Because of Tom's work ethic and that of his crew, we were able to continue on our trip to Florida, with only a slight delay. You really can't go wrong at any discount tire location, I've never ever had a bad experience, but Orlando S., the asst. manager in Avondale, is simply the best! Excellent and friendly customer service every time. So happy they honored my appointment first thing, since I was on my way to work and they always have walk-ins waiting outside in the morning. Called Friday to order 2 tires and i was told it will come in Saturday first thing in the morning. Waited til 10am still no call to notify me. I had to call and was told that it was not in and it will be Monday. Here it is Monday and again, I had to call to follow up. The first time it was to voicemail. The second time I called I was placed on a hold right away and the employee left me on hold forever never came back on the line to check up. I hung up and called back and had to call from a different number then they picked up. I asked again what is the status on my tires then was told they had to check with FedEx and will call me back. I then called and spoke to another person and complained about the horrible customer service and run a round. He said that he apologizes and can get me in right away. I had set my appointment for 430pm this afternoon. I showed up 420pm and they checked me in and toldme to park in the lot and someone will come get me "in 5 minutes". 5 minutes turned into half an hour until I walked inside to complain. Even when I went into complain, they said "Oh you're next and I wouldn't doubt the guy is out there looking for you and your keys". Well, 3 cars later I was really next. On Sunday 9/30 I discovered that my tire was flat. I immediately put my spare tire on. I had taken the original wheel off and had noticed there was a nail in the tire. I cruise my local discount tire without checking if they were open that day but they were closed. 10/1 after I got off @530 got to my local discount tire and it was 6:15 and they were closed. No big deal I understand hours of operation and noticed they open at 8am-6pm. Now it's 10/2, Tuesday morning. I pulled up at 7:59 and the clocked turn 8am. I walk up to the door and was immediately greeted by the Manager Ric. Not even one minute in and Ric is already getting my car taken care of. I was never mad that i wasn't able to get my tire patched the last two days, but to be able to get in right away and being taken care of right away when I got here today was the best feeling ever especially with the weather we're experiencing right now. Just needed a patch on a new tire I got 3 months ago and he made it seem like it was the most impossible thing to do. I also had a tire that was semi new but according to him it wasn't going to last me a no more then month. I went in today to replace the damage tire. I bought the certificate to repair, replace for free when I install the tire. However, I got a communicate that my tire was not covered because it is at 3/32". I asked them to show me where they measured, and they showed me that they measured near the damaged location of the tire. How can you measure from the damaged location? It was obviously unfair because the good condition location on the tire is right spot on at 3/32". They said that they had to measure from the LOWEST point on the tire. Except, this is not written in the certificate. The certificate is the way to get your money, and outside of that they are going to make up as many rules as possible to not keep their promise. Woke up to a flat..called road side service(thank goodness for this perk on my insurance) and the guy who came told me to go to this discount, since my normal location wanted so much money for a R16 tire for a van.... So I called, and his hook up was gone but John (assuming he was in management, as his shirt was diffrent color), but he was AWESOME.....he advised me I really didn't need 4 new tires, that my others were ok, but 2 tires was close to $400 yet 4 new tires was only $100 more...so got 4 tires, he bought my 2 good tires, gave me a credit and I was out of there in less then 30 min (on a Friday).....VERY impressed with the service and will be going to this location from now on... Don't come to this location, customer service is horrible. I came at 8:20 am was told it would take an hour to change my two tires. I left, came back, and they hadn't even touched my car. The 9 people ahead of me were all gone and new cars were there.....very disappointed. They started on my car 10:50am. I always come here because I trusted them. But today, it was a complete different story. I don't and never give a bad review, but I felt like I was betrayed today. I went in and told the guy to have my tires rotate, balanced, and specifically told him that the back driver side tire is always low on air. I told him that 5 weeks ago i had it fixed because there was a nail and so they fixed it. But a week after that, it was low air again. I see the pattern that once a week, the tire pressure is always low. This went on for 5 weeks and it was obvious that I have an air leak. That is why I am here today. After listening to my story, the guy said ok we will take care of it. After almost an hour later, I was seating by the big glass window and they pulled my car in, right in front of me. I can see everything they are doing. Literally, everything because my car is right in front of me. All I saw was the guy rotated my tire and that was it. He did not even balance it, and he did not even bother checking the tire that was low on air. Above all, he didn't even put air in it. He just rotated my tires and that was it. So then they pulled my car out and called my name. The guy that was handing my car told me that they did everything to check the tire that has low air and find nothing. I knew that was completely 100% bs. I just kept my mouth shut and said ok because I have to go home and take my wife to work. I have places to be. I went in my car and my tire pressure light still on. So I stepped out and check that one specific tire and sure enough, it was still low and has the same air pressure when I walked in the store. I have my own device to check my tire pressure. I have to go to the air tire line and get air from there. I told the guy everything that I saw and expressed my frustration. He was kind enough to keep me cool and I even thanked him. My over all experience was I felt betrayed and I have to see other options now. It was straight laziness and totally bs. read more

Then I pulled in, they told me it would be an hour i left and came back and they didnt even start on the car and my tire was so flat i couldnt leave to go anywhere else.
