The very first time I went to DT was in TX. I had a Mazda CX-9. A dummy tire was on and needed to be replaced. Then they try to sell me on other things, etc etc. Fast forward, I'm on the highway and the dummy tire goes FLYING. Im glad it didn't hit another car. I ended up calling DT to reiterate and get some kind of resolution with the issue. They proceeded to tell me it's not their fault and I should speak to them in a more respectful tone, and hung up. Called back and they proceeded to degrade and cuss me out. I told myself, I would never go back to DT, again. This was in 2014-2016, or so. Here we are, 2024. I ended up getting a nail in my tire and needed it to be patched. Multiple people told me to go to DT. Not going to lie. I sat on it until the day before my road trip...for the life of me, didn't want to put myself through another DT situation. Luckily everyone at DT were accommodating, respectful and honest, gave me all the necessary info I needed to know. Updates on the tire, what they found etc. I could tell they weren't trying to tell me a little white lie to try and sell me a "new" tire for something that's patchable. My thoughts have definitely changed with DT. I was already planning on getting some new tires after my return from my road trip..and I'm definitely going to get them from DT. read more

Went to have my tires spin balanced (tires were purchased there). I was told that one of the wheels studs had a problem, that someone had perhaps crossthreaded one of the lug nuts and if they removed it that it could break the wheel stud. It was definitely NOT like that when I brought it in because my husband had just done my brake pads and rotors a couple of weeks earlier. He never uses an impact gun on them. He puts them on by hand and then torques them. He has been working on cars for over 50 years so we know it was not him. They insist it was not done by them and since we can not prove it we will now have to get it repaired. We will now remove the tires for any repair before your company ever touches them and then find a new place to start buying our tires. We have used this company since they opened and I have both winter and summer tires for my car. We also have 3 other cars that we purchase tires for. We are now going to have to repair the damaged wheel stud. Hopefully we will be able to remove the lug nut that got messed up. read more

I ordered a set of 4 tires online from DT to have installed at the Blue Springs location on Monday. Fed Ex delivered 3 of the 4 tires and the other tire tracked through multiple States in the following days, including Friday. The store worked with me to get another brand of in stock tires. They were delivered at the store the following morning (Saturday) and I was in and out with no hassles and the correct paperwork. Went to the Blue Springs store because i had a tire wearing incorrectly. After showing me another tire on my truck was starting to do the same, I decided to get 2 new tires an alignment, balance and rotation. When I left the shop and hit the hiway, i immediately noticed my front tires were literally jumping at anything over 60 MPH. After a week or so, i returned to the same shop, the tech behind the counter then informed me that i had a bent rim. This was even before he looked at the truck again. My question was, "you knew I had a bent rim but said nothing?" He did not have a response. I told him my vehicle was driving much better BEFORE i had all the work done. They took the truck back, then said they made a few adjustment then told me that i "probably" had 2 bent rims. I asked "which ones", he could not tell me and to be totally honest, acted as if he did not care. Of course, the changes they made did absolutely nothing and a month later, I am driving the hiway while my tires hop like a bunny on Easter. It amazes me that i did not have this type of problem when i drove to Cincinnati Ohio the week prior. I take both my vehicles to Discount tire for service and have spent a LOT of customers their way. To top it all of, the "new" tires did nor really look new. Not good customer service at all. read more

This location sucks. They will never repair a tire they always are trying to upsell to only replacing. I've had tires with nails in center of tire and they won't plug just want to replace. Took to another discount tire location and had them plugged. The same company different locations and they will repair. This location is just a total used car salesman place only wanting tire sales and not interesting in having a future replacement customer. I will never go to a discount tire to replace my tires now because of this locations sales tactics. I will use Costco who has a better warranty anyway. read more

I bought a full new set of tires and he didn't try to sell me the most expensive tires they offer, plus told me about a rebate I didn't know about. The store was clean and they had me out of there in about an hour and a half. I expected longer since I went in without an appointment. It worked out perfectly. Returning customer, service was quick right up to the point they learned I was there for the "free" rotation/balance then I got pushed to the bottom of the wait list. After half an hour of seeing people come in and get right into the garage, I called the front desk and was promised it would be 10 minutes and I was next. 35 minutes later (over an hour total) of watching even more people roll in after me and get service I gave up and left. I never asked for free anything! They offered it! Will go somewhere else and pay for my balance/ rotation I don't care, just don't pay more for tires there thinking that they offer all these extras for free. I had to wait a week until I calmed down before I wrote this review. Writing this emotionally would not have been a good thing. I will attempt to stick to facts. When I live in Rancho Santa Margarita CA. I went to America's Tire in Mission Viejo. The last visit just before I moved was out of the ordinary. I went to get some new tires before I moved back home to Michigan in July 2021. They put the wrong tires on my car. I called the Manager and he said they had not. We went back an fourth for a few minutes. He went back to check. Came back to the phone and said the Michelin Cross Climate + tires were still in the back. That was the first time they had ever made that mistake. Everyone makes a mistake. Right? I went back the next day and they put the right tires on my car. I drove cross country back home to Michigan and tires were just fine. In December of 21 I was driving home from work and hit a dreaded Michigan Pothole. It destroyed the Micheline Cross Climate + on the right front. The tire deflated immediately. I called service and he came and put the spare donut on the right front and i proceeded to drive right to the Discount Tire on Napier in Benton Harbor. It was late in the day. I went back the next day to get the tire replaced. This is where the craziness started. It was the first snow of the year. I watched the pull my car around and he began to take off my left rear. I'm glad I was watching. I stuck my head outside and asked him, What are you doing? He said, Changing your tire! I said, It's the right front. The one with the donut on it. Mind you I have a Subaru Impreza. They gave me, one Michelin Cross Climate 2. They said they could not get anymore Cross Climate +'s. The said it was, "Ok" because the tires weren't that worn so the miss-match was, "OK". I don't call myself a car guy but a few weeks ago I got the impression to call Michelin to ask them what they thought of what happened. I was told by the Michelin Rep that the miss-match was not, OK. And, that it could mess up my AWD System. Also, the Discount Tire employee's should have known to give me a minimum of two new tires. When I was their making the appointment Micah the Mgr. Said they should have given me 4 new tires. He was there that day when I came in. I called him over to ask him, why his guy was taking off the wrong tire. He had no idea. Here I am 6months later still dealing with a tire issue because the Discount Tire employee's don't know what they are doing. Well I had to take a Nokian Tire because Michelin doesn't have any CrossClimate 2's at this time. It has the 3PSF Rating. All I can say is that Michelin really helped me even get that tire. They knew I wanted their tire but I'm contract is ending soon and I had to take the Nokian. They helped me go off brand. As soon as I'm able, I will be back on the road with Michelins. If Discount Tires Employee's had known what they were doing I wouldn't be writing this letter. I told Micah the Mgr. "That it was the fault of his people that I was back in that store having to deal with this." His comment to me was, "I gave you a free Tire"! This should not have cost me money. And it did! My husband and I are from out of town, but know this area well. We got a hole in a tire and went there for help. We got there a bit before they opened and Billy, a super young man, came out and got us together before the shop and officially opened! He could have let us sit there for 20 minutes, but he showed how he cares for his customers. We then talked to Rob (gee, I hope that's right...a manager, I think) and he got us set up in the bay, and kept us informed of what was going on. We had all four tires replaced and paid more than $1000. The balance has been off since day one. We've been in 2 separate times to have it fixed. The inconvenience and lack of confidence in their work is overwhelming. We have not been able to confidently drive the car on a long distance work commute for fear of imbalance on the highway. When we asked for a refund, we were told they would only offer new tires. The tires may be an issue but the labor is an even bigger one. Why would we trust them to put another set on?? read more

Not only that the price was great and they will send me email updates of when I can come in to get free tire rotations on all of my tires even though I only bought one from them. We have been customers of Discount Tire for years and recently they gave us another reason to keep going there. We were having lunch with our granddaughter in Blue Springs on Saturday and she commented how her tire was making her go all over the road. We found a Discount Tire store in Blue Springs and they rotated and balanced her tires without an appointment and had it done in an hour. We use Discount Tire for all of our tires but my granddaughter had never been there. She was impressed as well. We had new camper tires put on in Texas in March, our son had new camper tires put on his camper in Minnesota in May and we have all of our vehicle tires put on at our local store in Kansas. I had one of my drivers go here to get a tire changed. They said it would be two hours before they could get to it. So I drove out myself to change it since they seemed too busy to help. When I had the van up on the jack, a worker came out to inform me it was against company policy to change a tire myself in their parking lot. I had my driver drive on a flat tire, ON THE RIM, to another parking lot to change this tire. This was the most astonishing thing I have ever been told. I strongly do not recommend this store period! About a week ago I took my truck up there for a tire rotation, a few days later I lost a center cap and of the three that was left two were loose. When I called the guy I talked to was not helpful and acted like it was my problem. When I got back in town I went to the store and another guy implied that they came loose on their own. He also stated that because I did not purchase the wheels there that they can't order another center cap nor will they WOW! I guess since I was getting the so "free" tire service that came with my tire purchase and I was not spending more money I wasn't a priority! May, 2021. AVOID this store! Cannot rate it at ZERO. Why? The music blasting out of the service area is so loud it is hard to hear the saleman while standing next to him in the office/sales area. Mechanics have to talk very loud or shout at each other to be heard. The noise and loud talking/shouting coming out of this store is so loud it's easy to hear 1000 feet away. Make sure to check and make sure they put the right size tire on your car, this seems to be beyond their abilities despite being the only thing they spend their time doing every day. Putting the wrong sized tire on an All Wheel Drive car can result in wrecking the transmission.
