What I was told would be two day repair for my timing chain turned into a month-long experience with my car sitting in the shop. Communication was inconsistent at times, and I often felt in the dark about what was really happening. The shop initially quoted me around $2,600, then revised it to $4100 and offered a $800 discount. The total ended up at $3,908. During the repair, I was told that my dowel pin had broken in the camshaft, which required additional work. I receive a text message saying my car was ready for pickup. I came paid my balance in full. Less than a hundred feet of leaving out the parking lot my check engine light was back on and problem still existed. Im thankful I caught it in time because it was a Friday and they are closed on weekends. So it would have been my word against there's when it came time with correcting the problem. When I arrived for pickup today, the shop stated they waived an additional $800 fee for a solenoid recalibration/replacement that was directly related to the timing chain work they had just performed. I feel strongly that this should have been included in the original service and not presented as an "extra" charge after I had already paid. To their credit, I really appreciated the friendliness of the two administrative assistants, who went above and beyond to help me. They provided me with a shuttle ride home when I dropped off my car, even paid for me an Uber to pick up the loaner vehicle, and made sure I had a loaner car for the month while mine was being repaired. Those accommodations meant a lot during a very long process. The shop also test drove my car for 40+ minutes before releasing it, and the check engine light has not come back on yet. I appreciate that they ultimately covered the $800 charge, but overall the experience left me questioning trust, timelines, and transparency. If you use this shop, know that while they will work with you and provide support, you'll need to ask a lot of questions, push back on extra fees, and keep good records. The repair seems to be holding for now, but the process was much more difficult and drawn out than it should have been.

I was definitely taking a chance with Exact and here is my experience: First Impressions: My brother recommended Exact when I was shopping around for brake repair a couple years ago. The shop is located on Johnson Drive, next to a new car wash. We dropped my car off right around 8:30. The shop is easy to miss if you aren't paying attention. Dillon was very welcoming and he confirmed what services I needed. The shop was nice and clean and Dillon was very organized. Communication: I appreciated the phone call before any service was done to my car. They allowed us time to decide what we wanted to do before continuing and Dillon was very understanding. He wasn't pushy like the dealerships and I didn't feel pressured to make any decisions. The price is nice: I did not get tires, as they were more expensive than I thought, but for an oil change and front brakes, my bill was a little over $200. Their prices on timing belt replacement and other maintenance work was way cheaper than the Acura dealership, which is impressive. Overall: I will be back. The pricing alone was it for me. Acura quoted me well over a grand for maintenance work, new tires, and brakes on my car. Dillon's prices were half of that, which I can handle. They do specialize in imports, so keep that in mind. The only down side was their tire prices, which are about the same amount as the dealer. I also appreciated the customer service and how genuine Dillon was.

(IYKYK) and thought the new tires I had put on it in Texas had resolved it. We moved to Kansas City and brought the jeep with us on a car hauler. When I unloaded it and started home, guess what was back?! We found Howard Automotive on line and took it there for the "wobble" and some fixing up. They repaired the jeep, within $9 of the estimate and three days sooner than we were told. Great job, great service, great team!

Made a yelp just to leave this place a review after they decided to cost me a few extra towing…read morebills. My car stalled suddenly on the highway, and I had it towed to this shop in Olathe. They told me that my timing belt failed, causing the timing to slip, and that as a result the engine was toast and they quoted it at about a $6,600 repair. I immediately knew something was up, given that my vehicle has a non-interference engine (meaning even if the engine were to jump time there should be no extensive damage). I decided to get a second opinion, and it turns out the water pump had failed, and caused the engine to slip 3 teeth out of time... All in all, the replacement water pump, antifreeze, timing belt, and installation totaled around $500, the car runs completely normally. I am very disappointed with their service. They clearly did not spend much time figuring out what was wrong with my vehicle, and instead decided that they would quote me an outrageous amount to fix a non issue. I won't be wasting any more time or money hoping these folks will actually keep their customer's best interest in mind. 1/5

They have, in a word, pulled back the curtain on why it costs what to fix "that" for me. They've even gone as far at times to take me "under the hood" and show me what a healthy part looks like compared to the broken one that needs fixing. I've put three cars in in their care over the years, each time getting an option or three with associated prices and timelines, and then getting their understanding when I make my choices. I usually ask way too many questions but I've never felt any impatience on their part I recommend others to In Motion as often as I can.

You're never pressured into doing extra repairs or service, they're up-front with you if they find something else wrong with your car but never pressure you into additional repairs, they'll give you the information but the decisions for everything is always left to the customer. Duke and Bob's has been in business nearly a century. A century! The quality, customer service, fairness, reputation as well as the customers speaks for itself!
