(Denied Service) STAY AWAY GO SOMEWHERE ELSE FOR ANY SERVICE!!!!!! First and foremost, to the respondent- save your auto reply all for someone else. I am NOT leaving this review for personal satisfaction but leaving it to warn others about wasting their time by going to this location. The only employee at this location that seemed to be worth his paycheck is the young service technician that was actually willing to do my installation, the rest of them couldn't find their way out a wet paper bag in my opinion! I purchased tires from an online retailer due to the significant price difference and called this location prior to making a appointment to confirm they would be able to install them for me and had the equipment to do so due to the size of tires (38X13.50r17) and they confirmed that it wouldn't be a problem so I scheduled an appointment online. Showed up 15 minutes prior to my appointment time and not only did the employee at the front desk say everything was good to go but the guy in the back office (Probably the Manager) also came out to confirm that they were able to get it done but it would cost me extra due to the size of the tires and also that it was going to take about 3 hours due to it being a little busy but it would be done before closing at 5pm (Let it be known my appointment was for 12:30pm) I told them it wouldn't be a problem and I would just return before they closed to pick my vehicle up. The employee at the front desk gave me the work order with a price of $270+ for a 4 tire installation and I still agreed to the price and signed the paperwork. After unloading these 90lb tires by the bay door like I was asked to do, as I was about to leave the so called "Bay Supervisor" came up to me to inform me that he wouldn't be doing service on my vehicle due to safety concerns because the lift size of my vehicle! I then told the guy it was understandable and I could just head back home and I only lived 5 minutes away and that I could remove the tires from my vehicle and bring back just the tires for them to change out while still agreeing to pay the same amount on the agreement, this then so called Bay Supervisor changed his reason to he can't provide services due to the size of tire and not having the equipment! At this point I knew he just didn't want to do the work and was making up excuses. Like why would a business sell Tires on THEIR website larger than what I had (40-42 inch Tires) if they didn't have the equipment to install them??!! Exactly! Im not an idiot bro, straight laziness is what it is! Honestly I don't know if it was the (Retired US Marine) License Plate that caused him to deny service but with all that's going on right now I wouldn't doubt it and Don't really care two folds on what they think! Your job ain't that hard or overwhelming bro Trust me acting like y'all experiencing stress! Oh please man! I have been using Big O tires for years and then just recently moved into the Blue Springs area. This location is a huge disappointment. The service is horrible, they are very disrespectful and have no idea what they are talking about. I specifically asked for a type of oil over the phone which was approved and whenever I came into the store they denied that they offer that oil and refused service. I will never becoming back to this location and will be driving 2 hours back to my hometown Big O because it's not the company itself that is bad, it's the people that work there. My first encounter with them was even worse whenever they lost my only key phob to my vehicle and it took them over two hours to find it. I thought after this incident I'd give them a try and come back but yet alone did they let me down. Also as a female bringing a vehicle into the shop, we shouldn't feel belittled or like we don't know anything. I am more than capable of doing my own oil change but it's convenient sometimes for someone else to do it. These staff want to take advantage of you but I had to fight for every little thing. They weren't going to do anything about the fact they lost my key phob for along period of time so I had to fight for a long time for them to even give me a discount for taking my time. I will never let one of these Big O technicians in Blue Springs get close to my vehicles and I would advise you to stay clear from this horrific place. Had my car serviced and bought 4 new tires through Big O in Warrensburg. 14 days after getting them my left rear tire blew out. Called and was told that there was nothing they could do but that the closest Big O was in Blue Spring and rbst I could have it taken there. Paid to have it towed to Blue Springs where I was told that since I didn't have the tire protection that all they could do was sell me another tire. They don't guarantee that tires will last more than 14 days. On top of that they didn't have the tire I needed and had to fet a mismatched tire. I called corporate and the manager from Blue Springs called me saying he looked at the tire and that because there was a small nail hole there was nothing they could do. They never showed me the tire, the tire was no showing it was low physically or with the cars monitor. The light did not come on until the tire blew. Called corporate again and was told the owner would reach out in 24 hours. That was almost 96 hours ago and still haven't heard anything. They preach customer service but don't guarantee the tires they sell unless you spend extra for a plan. Your tire can blow out 1 day later and they won't care! 599187 read more

Our grandson's car had many issues, and Mark and the good folks at Big O made it right. Also, they checked out the whole car and found a few other potential problems, all fixed. We are so grateful for Mark and all the people there. Mark called to update me, and let me know where we were at. He also fixed a few things that he didn't need to. They failed my vehicle inspection due to repairs they said I must have, however they were kind enough to say they could do the work right then, I declined as I wanted another opinion as well as other price quotes. I took it to another mechanic to have it checked out, they found 'nothing' wrong and stated the price they quoted me was far too high ($1200). I went back to Big O to bring this to their attention and was informed since the mechanic wasn't a 'safety inspector' he could very well be wrong. Purchased a new set of tires a year ago with alignment and extended warranty. It was brought to my attention that there was extreme wear on the inside of the front tires due to a toe alignment. Brought my Jeep back to the same location and the staff was able to confirm the problem, and using my warranty, was able to replace the tires with a new warranty and get a new alignment on my Jeep. Pleased they were able to handle the situation and get new tires on the Jeep within several days! read more

On Christmas Eve 30 minutes before they closed they squeezed me in without an appointment to help patch a hole I had got from a nail in my tire! They were quick and did an awesome job patching the tire allowing me to watch the whole process and providing me with good conversation and explanations the whole time. I frequently go to this Big O location for car maintenance: oil changes, new tires, etc. Most recently, I went for a safety inspection as I am getting ready to sell my car. They called to let me know that I had a problem that was going to cause me to fail my inspection. What I love about them is that when I said "no, I need to think about it" they are not pushy or rude, as mechanics have been with me in the past. They get things done in a timely manner, do the job well, and have great customer service. I really appreciate them! read more

Buyer Beware of this business. I was luckily watching them service my truck through their service Lounge window. I ordered an oil change, tire rotate & balance. The technician took the tires off the truck and moved them around to rotate them. I watched him begin to put the tires back on the truck without balancing them. I informed the front service desk and he went back to tell him to pull them off and balance them. I would have never known that they didn't do the balance that I paid for had I not been watching them. If you go to this location be sure to keep an eye on them to make sure you get what you paid for. And they are very slow. They do not have the quality of service technicians that Discount Tires does. They do a multi point inspection as part of the service, the manager comes to me with the air filter and cabin filter shows me that they needed replacing telling me the prices and I declined and said I would do it myself. He acted pissed and walked off not saying a word. They finished and I paid for the work. I walked up to my car and saw greasy hand prints on the door and the hood. I show back up at 4 they haven't even touched my car yet. Hopefully they get it done cause I have to go to work tomorrow and I haven no other way of getting there. I had taken my car to Walmart (across the street) to have an oil change. Needless to say, after my oil change, my car wouldn't stay running and died in the middle of the road multiple times. I drove it back to Walmart and they said nothing they did would have caused it. So it was towed to Big O Tires. They were so accommodating and sympathetic to my frustrations I was having. EVERYONE I dealt with in this store were amazing and helpful. I want to give a special shout out to Jared who was absolutely amazing! He went above and beyond and constantly would call me and update me on what he was finding. I can't say enough good things about him and the store. They didn't overcharge on anything and only did what needed to be done to fix the car. I highly recommend this store! read more

I had a 1:00 appointment today for an oil change and tire repair. The appointment was made yesterday when I called in to see what was available. I needed a mid day appointment, and you were booked yesterday but "wide open" for today. I chose a 1:00 appointment because it fit best with my work schedule. My car was dropped off on time and I went next door to eat lunch/wait for my care to be done. At 2:45 I looked and saw my car outside and figured it was done. I walked back to pay and get back to work. When I got to the counter told me that "they are just about to pull it in". I replied that "it's 2:45, and I had a 1:00 appointment". The gentleman shrugged and said "I know". I told him I didn't have time to wait and that I wanted my keys. There was no explanation or apology (although it wouldn't have mattered to me at that point). No one told me when I dropped it off, or anytime while I was waiting that it would be almost 2 hours before they would even start. If so, I would have rescheduled. I'm not completely convinced that it "was just about to be pulled in". I think I was out of sight, out of mind. I don't know what the point of making an appointment is if it isn't going to be at least reasonable accurate. I do realize that sometimes things back up, and delays happen, but that should have been relayed to me when the car was dropped off or at some point when it became apparent that they weren't going to get to my car in a timely fashion. I will never use or recommend Big O Tires again (my previous experiences at the Lees Summit store were only slightly better). There are too many options out there for tires/auto service for me to choose one that does not respect my time. read more

Had a tire with a leak and I was next door to Big O Tire so I stopped by. There was 1 car on the rack, parking lot empty, not 1 person in the lobby and about an hour till they closed. When I walked in and asked if they could check my tire I was told "rudely" I had to make an appointment and tomorrow was all they had available.. Thank God firestone of blue Springs was able to help me. By the time I got to firestone, they were about to close and my tire was almost flat. I walked in and asked if they could look at my tire and they happily said sure. They had it in and fixed in under 20min. Makes you wonder what else Big O Tire tells its customers when they don't want to do something or god forbid stay past close. But in This case they would not have been burdened to stay late because the repair took less than 20 minutes and they had 50 minutes before closing. I took my van up to Big O Tires for an vehicle alignment twice the first time they told me that they fixed the alignment and didn't it was the same as before. The second time they said they fixed the alignment but the when I drive in order for me to go straight the steering wheel has to face almost halfway to the left. And I paid for a warranty lol. Also on my truck oil change and tire rotation one of my center caps is missing a bolt to tighten it down. So now I have to find another bolt. big o tires were attempting to fix a flat for me when their young inexperienced tech didn't put the shovel in the proper location & tore the sidewall out of my tire when trying to break it down. This was not a new tire but it still had 1/2 of its useable tread! when I came back to get my tire the manager told me the tire was old & this was not their problem! Then he told the tech to put the tire in the back of my truck & told me to act like an adult & leave. I went to discount tires & asked the manager if this happens often & he said it does happen when the shovel is not placed in the right location. Went to this location this last Sunday (7/22) and requested a price for mounting and balancing 4 tires. I was asked if I would be supplying the tires, which I was. I believe it to be the manager, and he stopped and said "I think im going to pass..." and went into a story of recapped tires the day before that wouldnt balance out and how a guy yelled at him. I told him I got them from a reputable site and they were new with the stickers on them. He didnt want to, so i walked out and said i have NEVER been told "I will pass..." Guess what? This is the Eorld we live in now. People buy tires on the internet in large percentages. You cant turn all this business away and expect to survive. Sooooo, I took the car across the street to Walmart and left it. They had ZERO problems with agreeing to mount them and actually called back in only 90 minutes and said it was READY. GREAT POLITE customer service and quick and turned out great. I would venture to say it was even cheaper. So, a multipurpose store like Walmart beats out a specialty tire store and wasnt timid to do a job. WELL DONE, WALMART! read more
