I came in to get a new tire mounted. Brought the tire with me and simply asked for them to mount it. Done this hundreds of times. I was met with a very entitled, annoyed, and seemingly clueless employee. He asked a bunch of patronizing questions as if his intent was to make me feel stupid. I didn't know that mounting tires at a tire shop was a hard ask. This location needs to educate their employees. read more

This store has done an awesome job for me over the past few years, but today was finally enough for me to leave a review! Had a screw in the tire kinda close to the sidewall that I discovered on Labor Day. Discount Tire wasn't open, but Costco was and I was going there anyway, so I took the wheel with me. Had to leave it for 3 hours (had to go home and come back) only for them to tell me they couldn't touch it. Had to pay upfront and get refunded too. So I babied the car until I could get to Discount. Made it in there and they were able to patch it, as well as rotate and balance the other wheels in about 30 min. No charge since I bought the tires there. Lesson learned to wait for Discount to open. Not only were they knocking cars out left and right, but the staff inside were being super chill with everyone and even entertaining some crazy ass kids! Pricing is outrageous! I've never would've thought they were more expensive than Les Schwab. They wanted for stock 20 inch tires almost $50 per tire to mount and balance. By far most expensive place ever! definitely recommend going to a small shop. read more

This is a relocated business from the Roy area. The new shop is extremely nice and set up much better for both the staff and the customers. First, there is parking here which they didn't have at the old location. There is also more storage for discarded tires and for new inventory. What really sets Discount apart from the competition is the service. These guys and gals are just excellent. I have yet to have anything less than a stellar experience with this staff. I drive ~30k miles per year so they get a lot of my business. They are set up to handle pretty much everyone and they will take great care of you. Hints and tricks: Try and go on a weekday and not during the rush hours. Tires take time and this could save you a lot of it. read more

Discount Tires seem like a mixed bag, I believe a lot of it is based on how busy they are. Still there is a major contrast between the Clinton, UT location, which was great at helping me out anyway they could and they took the initiative to take care of things that resulted from the practices of other Discount Tire stores. It was almost as if they where aware of how some of the other Discount Tires places operate, (maybe tire places in general) and earning my repeat business by making up for it. (Maybe this is a strategy used by other locations,) but purchasing new tires from Salt Lake City, was very different from the Clinton location. Before I went to the Salt Lake City location, I had purchased them from the Layton location, without issue. The Discount Tire In Salt Lake City doesn't do what they say there going to do, and I'm pretty sure they sabotage tires when you go In for a flat repair. They one time tried to charge me $200 some of dollars for disposing of my tires, they don't rotate tires when they say they will, and they don't report tire service. I think that's so when you go into purchase new tires, they can claim that you voided the warranty. I guess my point is, Discount Tire is great, but I wouldn't trust the Salt Lake City, location. They seem to be all about scamming people. read more

I've always loved Discount Tire. The service is always amazing. They always promptly greet you. Even if they are with a other customer they let you know they are aware you're waiting. The staff does a thorough check of your tires before they bring your car back to let you know what they see. They educate you on the status of your tire tread and all that. They can get pretty busy so the online appointment scheduling option is amazing. If you go during their least busy times they are very quick. I love that they do free tire rotations, even if your current tires were not purchased from them. Now this amazing business has a fabulous new location. It's pretty easy access with lots of parking. The building has lots of seating and is nice and open. Only place I will go to get my tires. Exceptional service everytime, no matter how busy they are. read more

David is the best! He went above and beyond in his customer service! I went to the store to have my tire beads resealed, and they found out that the rear passenger tire was bad. I asked him if there was a way that they could save the tire because we were going on a long trip next week. He did unexpected things that made me teary and being cared for. First, they try to up sale me some tires for $1,200. I went to another discount tire store and they sold it to me the same set for $900. Second, I told them to do a tire swap front to rear, rear to front. They forgot to rely the message to the technician, so I went home already and had to drive back. Third and last, I drove in unannounced. And they told me it's going to and hour and a half wait just to see a small screw in my tire. It didn't seem that busy til I arrived. The same guy handled me three times there, not satisfied by his way of handling things. Shows no concern for the customer, shows no way that he can assist you with your problem. It will be my last time showing up there. It would help if you show some care for your customer and not just someone to up sale and have them wait. read more

If I could give these guy zero stars I would. After telling me that they had time to put on my tire I brought in, they came back two hours later saying that they would not be able to replace my tire. They pulled up with my truck and I was waiting to get my keys. Unbeknownst to me, they left my keys inside with my truck running. I went to the counter and asked for my keys and with was rudely told they must be inside. They also forced the bed of my truck opened and completely broke the shock. It was literally hanging there. And one last thing, If you ever are greeted by Sage ask to see someone else. He is completely incompetent. Don't waste your time coming here. read more

Bought a set of Colonial tires about 6 years ago supposedly 70k mile tires. After two years and 20k miles tread wear was horrible. Discount tire talked my wife into another set, just replaced new tires bought on line. Old Discount tires had 30k miles with chord separation and lots of cupping. In addition they don't test tire pressure monitoring valves and just assume you need a new set to RIP you off. Bought my new 85k Michelins on line for a good deal and had my reputable mechanic mount them. read more

I showed up right before they closed to just top off my tire pressure and they let me know right away there was a screw and to make an appt or see if they'd just repair it right then. I went inside to schedule an appt for the morning (I felt bad they were closing and I had my child and dog with me). Instead the employee said "I would feel bad if you were my sister so how about you just pull in and we will take care of you." So I pulled my car into their garage, I was able to stay in the car with my child and dog and they fixed my flat. They were so kind and informative and I appreciated it more than I can say. All my cars have Discount tires. Before winter, I have them rotated and balanced. I'm disappointed in how all my cars were poorly checked. After each rotation and balance, I took them in over a 3 week time period, car 1 had 48 PSI in the front passenger tire and 26 PSI in the remaining 3 tires. Car 2 had 50 PSI in the front driver side and 32-36 PSI (acceptable) in the remaining 3 tires, Car 3 had 22-26 PSI range in all the tires. Apparently, no one checks the tire pressure when a rotation and balance need to be done. If you took your car to the Clinton DT, be sure to check your tire pressure. Nobody wants a blowout on I-15. Also, why do I always end up with a mixed bag of valve caps? I go in with 4 matching caps, I leave with 2 silver, 1 black and 1 gray? What happened to the set I bought at O'Reilly's? And why can't these mismatched caps be tightened down? I think, for a tire company, air pressure would be important. I've made 5 trips for 3 cars. I do like the company, but I may consider shopping around in the future as my family's safety is riding on these over inflated tires. read more
