The waiting room chairs are comfortable and aren't worn down like most places. Staff will do a tread depth tire reading and discuss when it's time to change them. Unfortunately, I got a nail stuck in my tire. My boss said, I could come here and they would fix it for free. I was like, I don't think so? But, he was right. It was free99. Discount tire is located off I-20 and Wichita. It's easy to see but you cannot use the access road to get to the location. You have to go around back. I think this is really inconvenient. Oh well. I walked in and almost every seat was taken A young tall guy helped me check in. He told me it would be a one and a half hour wait. He was actually pretty close to giving an exact E.t.a. It took an hour and forty minutes. It was worth the wait because, they washed my tire to see if there anymore punctures and it came out so clean! They repaired my tire for free so I didn't mind the wait. I completed a review and read a book. To summarize things, they have good customer service and they repair and wash your tire for free. So I got my tires here. They had a 50,000 mile warranty and I purchased the extended tread life warranty they offer per tire which was supposed to cover replacement if the tires wore down prematurely. The tires I bought had a 50,000 mile warranty. By 25,000 miles, they were practically bald. I have no alignment issues and I get regular rotations / balances at Discount Tires. I was told I needed to replace them again at around 25,000 miles. I was told I'd get a discount proportionate to the tread I didn't get out of the tires. That was a lie. I ended up paying more to replace them (early) than the tires cost me last summer. I get that part of that is inflation, but still. I didn't expect to have to buy new tires after only driving 25,000 miles. What pisses me off is that I bought the extended tread life warranty for each tire. So the premature balding should've been covered. They honored this for ONE of the 4 tires, but pretty much charged me full price for the other 3. And again, this is WITH their so called tread life extended warranty. I will never buy tires from this company again. I will stick with Goodyear. read more

Ive had a busy few days. I've been trying to register my car for almost a year. Only because I haven't been home to register it, I travel for business. 1st inspection I failed due to a busted taillight and bald rear tires. In a crazy scramble, I have been trying to get it fixed this week before I leave again this week. Enter discount tires, I have a specialty tire which dew chain stores have in stock, in hand. The night before I was looking up tire stores near me to get a new rear set. Luckily this Discount tires had my tire in stock. Around midnight the day before I went I made an appointment, this Discount tires wasn't the closest but it had my tire. On my way there I got a call asking about my appointment and what I needed. I told them which tire and they said they would have it ready. I got there and it was pretty early so not at all crowded. They promised it in 45 mins, I got it in less time. Air check took about 30-40 minutes just to get up to the friggin' guy to get my tires checked. Apparently Discount Tire cares more about penny pinching then actually having good service when there's a string of cars needing their tires checked and they just have one guy doing it. I got a set of 4 new tires about a month ago before I moved to Texas. I paid for the warranty and all the extra jazz. Today I had a flat and stopped, threw on a donut and went to this discount tire. Instead of my warranty covering it I was told I had to pay $45 because they claimed the tire was too messed up to patch because it was driven too long while flat even though I immediately pulled over and switched a donut on it. Plus they didn't have the same tire so I had to get one that was a little more expensive and then renew the warranty. What's the point of paying for a warranty if they want to pull this? Will definitely not be using them anymore and highly recommend you don't get scammed by their tactics. read more

I had recently spent the morning at another discount tire location and was on my way back to my office when the "check tire pressure" alert came on again. I had just left the other store and was already too far to turn back when I saw the sign off the highway and pulled in. I went in and explained to the gentleman that I had just been to another location and wasn't sure what was wrong. He was so helpful and sweet and told me he would look at it and understood I had already waited at the other location and he would fit me in. Ryan and the staff there were phenomenal. The last time I was at Discount Tire, I was there because I needed to replace two tires before getting my car inspected. I knew the tread was lacking. I knew I had to get new tires. The dude at this Forest Hill Discount Tire said to me, "You know, you have room for a full sized tire instead of a donut tire in your trunk." I was replacing two tires for inspection reasons but one was reasonably still good, at least good for a spare tire. He sold me a tire rim so I could have a full sized spare instead of a donut tire. And what a relief that was. I had a flat yesterday. And instead of having to shut everything down taking care of the problem, I had a full sized spare and plenty of time to solve the problem. I stopped at a different Discount tire at a different location? No SERVICE. F This. I have a full spare tire. I can take my time and go to a good location tomorrrow.
