If you're thinking their tracking status page is accurate - think again because Koby, one of their managers, said it's broken from time to time. Location: Absolutely great, it's in a plaza with plenty of parking and Gresham Station is right across the street. If you're coming from Division, you might not notice it because it's right behind Burger King. Service: I called in on Monday with intentions to only price shop for my cousin, who didn't speak any English but we had decided to proceed with Discount Tires because they were able to match Costco's price. While they were placing the order for the tires that needed to be brought in, I asked them how long it would take for the installation, and they responded that as long as the vehicle is there before 4 pm, we would be able to pick it up by 6 pm. Around 7 pm that same night, an hour after they closed, I received a call confirming that the tires were there and would be ready for us on Thursday. Fast forward to Thursday, my cousin and I arrived at 3:30 pm to drop off the vehicle. I asked the team member that checked us in how long it would take, and I received the same exact answer. On top of that, he said they would text me a link with a page where I can track the status. I was extremely happy with that because I wouldn't have to call in to see if the vehicle would be done early while we ran our errands. 5:30 pm rolled by and I was a bit concerned because the tracker still showed the vehicle in the "Waiting for service" stage. With 30 minutes left until the estimated time, I decided to call in to be safe, in case the tracker didn't get updated. After a few minutes of the phone ringing with no answer, we decided to make the 30-minute drive over because the vehicle should be pretty close to being done since it was estimated at 6 pm. As we pulled up a few minutes before 6 pm, we noticed the vehicle was in the same exact spot that my cousin parked it. I walked in and spoke with Koby, who apologized and said they would need another hour and a half! I was frustrated because there was absolutely no communication about this. To make matters worse, he told me two things - (1) the tracker doesn't work from time to time and (2) they will get every car done before they close and they didn't leave until 8 pm last night. Essentially saying that their new estimated time of 7:30 pm could turn into at the earliest 8 pm - causing me to potentially wait for almost 5 hours to have the job finished. I understand that they used the word estimate, but having to wait an additional hour at a minimum can no longer be considered an estimate. In my attached screen captures, you can clearly tell that their estimated completion time was 6:00 pm according to the tracker, but the vehicle was still in the "waiting for service" stage at 6:54. The vehicle did not move into the "In the Bay" stage until 6:55 pm. From the screen capture of the text message, you can tell it was completed at 7:24 pm - roughly 4 hours from when we dropped off the vehicle or said another way, an hour and 24 minutes over their estimated time. This could have been completed in half the time that it would take at Costco, having bought tires there numerous times. Regardless of any industry, communication is key and obviously something they do not have at all. It would have been completely fine waiting that additional time, within reason, only if they had said something. It is pointless to have a tracker if they do not have a fail-safe for notifying the consumer that they need more time. This could easily be an additional to help the user experience with little to no personnel involvement. read more

Come Monday for the appointment and we were checked in a little late due to being busy, I understand. About halfway through the tire change they stop after 2 wheels have tires and then the workers started working on a car that came in after me. After asking whats going on with our car the manager/lobby worker asks the other workers in the shop and they can't find 2 of the tires we had bought and they offered us a different brand of tire around the same price to what we paid, I refused and the manager said he will go look for the tires. After not finding the tires the manager offered to upgrade us for no cost extra to a better/newer model of tire from the brand we had purchased, which we agreed to. After waiting for the workers to start working again everything goes smoothly until the last install of the wheel onto the car and a lug nut was lost. After maybe 10 minutes of searching between a manager and a few workers they just grabbed a new one to replace the lost one at no extra cost. Im not mad per say because they made things right but we got out around 3pm and the appointment check in was 12:45. I can just say average service at best with employees who will lose things. I bought some tires online, and scheduled an appointment to have them installed. The price seemed fair, and they are name-brand tires. I just dropped my car off, so I wasn't too concerned with the wait (they were busy, even on a Wednesday afternoon). Their IT systems seem very good -- the online ordering system was solid, and after dropping my car off I got a text message with status updates that were timely. The staff were friendly. I would go for a 5-star review, except that it is October 2021 and our COVID numbers are still very high and we have a mask mandate in force. In their busy waiting area, there were a good number customers not adhering to the mask mandate.I was annoyed, but I'm not going to pick a fight with another customer. Businesses should ask their customers to comply with the mandate, and even if they want to avoid conflict, they could put out a sign or otherwise have some encouragement. But then I noticed that at least one staff member was completely maskless as well. He appeared to be a manager or at least have some responsibility, as he was talking to employees. It is a bad example of leadership. After this pandemic is over, I will probably raise this to a 5-star review. But for now, this is not the kind of place I'd want to send my mother-in-law. read more

I went in there to get tires and a TPMS sensor replaced, while doing the tires they scratched two of my wheels and couldnt get the TPMS sensor to work. Ok that was the bad, now for the good, I showed them the new scratches and paint chips on the wheels and they didnt hesitate to set me up for wheel repair, the TPMS sitituation was a little more complicated, had two different techs try reprogramming and resetting the system and it still didint work. The last time i called and told them the light was still on I spoke with Kody Gilliland the assistant manager and he said bring it back and he will try to get the system working. I went back and Kody helped me right away , he tried several different things to get the sensor to come online but it wouldnt so he pulled codes and showed me on his computer the code and possible causes then apologized for not being able to help me get the system online. The bottom line to this reveiw is that they need to be more careful with peoples expensive wheels and not damage them and their customer service is really great. Kody went above and beyond to help me get my problems solved and that matters to me, I never write reviews for places but I felt it was right to give Kody recognition. read more

From the clear evidence found by an extremely reputable competitor, an undertrained careless employee bent the inside lip removing a tire. Manager was unprofessional and unwilling to accept responsibility. Discount Tire has slipped in quality and service far below any of their competitors. Came into this location after I got a good deal on tires at the other location. Came in for my free tire rotation and balance which was included with my purchase. I think this is a very nice feature to have because rotating your own tires sucks. We all know it I do it when I have to but it is nice to have free rotation and balancing all included for the life of the tires. And the life of tires seems to be quite extended nowadays so sometimes just came in years of not crawling under vehicle possibly in the rain called getting your work done. They send you text messages keeping you up-to-date on all the progress they're always busy so with an appointment they finish on time and always have nice people working there. Unfortunately I made the mistake of buying my wheels and tires through discount because of how many locations they have nationwide. My first interaction with them the careless kid threw my old tires in the back of my truck which landed on my welding bag for work breaking my welding helmet and destroying it so that came out of my pocket. They say they can get close to the deal, because I prefer discount tires service over the three hour service I get for installing new tires or getting them rotated in two hours at Costco. I showed jordon the snap shot of the price Costco is offering $910. He then added the $15 per tire price Costco adds when installing their tires. So he gave me the tires price with the added installation price for a total of $970. But I didn't realize Costco is offering a thanksgiving special and are waiving the installation fee. So I could've save an extra $60. I will try and justify my $60 loss by knowing that I won't have to wait 2-3 hours to get my tires rotated like they do at Costco. My husband and I went in today to buy new tires and wheels for his Ram. We were greeted right away by a young man who immediately started helping us. My husband had done a ton of research and basically knew what he wanted. After a few minutes on the computer you could tell the young man that was helping us was still in training. He secured help from the supervisor at the station next to us and they both helped us in a timely manner while making sure the young man got the training he needed. I bought a set of tires here last December and I chose not to purchase the replacement plan. Well today, something penetrated my tire and it wasn't repairable. A new, identical tire was $165 but thankfully, the employee offered to sell me the coverage plan that I should've bought in the first place that would cover things like this. Instead of paying $165 for a tire, I got the replacement plan for $105 and it covered the cost to replace the tire.
