This morning I apparently drove over a screw on the road, and I could hear the click click on the wheel as soon as it went through the tire. I called Discount Tire, they fixed it in less than 15 minutes, and it didn't cost me anything. I didn't even buy my tires from them since it's a new vehicle. These guys are nothing but tire con artists! The only time you will get a decent experience with them is when you're spending money on tires or services. If you're not buying anything, they will give you every excuse in the book as to why they have to deny working on your car. I came in due to a flat tire, I had already put air in the tire and used a sealing liquid to stabilize it. I just wanted them to remove the nail & patch it up. After looking at the tire in question, they said the wear was in the "yellow" range and attempted to pressure me into buying 2 new tires. I told them that i'll think about it, but asked if they would just patch the tire with the nail for now. They then agreed to repair the tire. After 10 minutes, they came back to me claiming the tire was "even worse than they initially thought" so they have to deny service. To their credit, when I measured the tread myself, it was in the "yellow" range, but their reasoning behind why they could not repair the tire was pure BS. I'll never shop with this company/store again unless they offer me free tires for life. Their strategy is to do whatever it takes to get you to buy new tires, not looking after the customer. read more

These guys are the truth! I pulled in at 5:58 p.m. they close at 6:00. They replaced the tire I ended up purchasing a full set of rims. They educated me on the windshield wiper blade and the sensors in my vehicle. One of the gentlemen were kind enough to entertain me while the gentleman in the back worked on my car. Brett was cordial and professional. I was in and out roughly in 1 1/2 hrs. It wasn't too bad since I had an appt for a tire rotation and bought a new, used tire on the spot as well. They have used tires for sale, and that's what I bought. It was cheaper as well. The tire itself was $38 with a $8 warranty or what not. The tire installation was $20 with a $3 disposal fee. Though I do wonder if they do dispose of it since the one I got was used... All in all, the final price was cheap. Thanks for looking into the tire pressure light as I asked... This location sits in the Sugarloaf Mills Complex, in the very back right corner. It's very conveniently located off 85 and has ample parking (not a ton of spaces close to the front door). Dropped in here today during lunch due to 2 nails in my back left and right tire. I had previously purchased my tires from Discount Tire off Peachtree Rd, and called ahead to see if I could use this location for a free patch job. Good news is you can go to any Discount Tire location with your purchase! I pulled in, and waited a minute at front desk to get service. The guy was very nice and polite. I noticed this at the location I went to purchase my tires previously, but their customer service quality is across the board excellent! He checked out the nails, and then mentioned how long it would take. Extremely nice opening the door for me and even apologizing for my situation. It was my fault for running over the nails but he was empathetic! The waiting area was nicely air conditioned and the chairs were comfy. They also had free water and coffee for guests. Wait time was probably around an hour, so got in a quick power nap. I listened to some of the conversations as customers came in, and these guys are trained service professionals when it comes to making the perfection solution as well as getting customers to open up on just their lives. They called me when it was done, and patched up punctures with no problem. The service was free (even better), and the guy handling the exit portion was just as friendly as the one I spoke to when I came in. I had to get 2 new rear tires and my whole family has gone to this location for years. On this day, a busy Friday, Thomas helped me at this location. This shop is on another level of class and care. Tucked in, red, name monogrammed shirts with clean black pants and face coverings were worn by all. Courteous, professional and quick. One star because they had my tire in stock. I will not be coming back, ever. I called discount tire to request a quote for my Lexus Is350 09. I had a tire put on it just last year. I wanted the same one. I was quoted "245". I said okay, I would make arrangements to leave work early to get my tire changed. I talk to my boyfriend about the quote and he told me that why was I told so much? So he called and guess what, he got quoted "205" !!!! I drive to discount tire get there and I get greeted immediately by Zach. I explain to him my situation and the guy I talked to on the phone interrupts and tells him he's the one who spoke to us on the phone ( I wouldn't say that so proudly) anyways, Zach goes to check my mileage and whatnot. Returns and tells me that my other tire, the one I had just put on last year, the tread is running low too. I was pissed at this point and said just talk to my boyfriend about it. I was already done with at this point. I ended up paying 256$ with taxes. I wasn't quoted that either!!! :) So yeah not stopping by here again and definitely wouldn't recommend it. The tire unfortunately had a hole too big and my tire was filled with compost. i told then to put the tire back on so i can tow the car home because i didn't even have my debit card on me for a new tire. I have been a Discount Tire customer for like 5 years now. Back in Texas they have like a 60% market share. I was always taken care of in Texas, and the certificates (insurance) for like $16 a tire has always come in handy especially with my last car which had rims and spendy tires. I like this particular Discount Tire as they never seem to have much of a wait and the service is very good. Prices are fair, and that coupled with the certificate insurance and free air checks and rotations makes this my tire store. Back when I lived in Portland Les Schwab runs a similar operation with full warantty great service. Like Discount Tire, they also have a very high (like 60%) marketshare throughout the Northwest. I know Warren gave a poor review and had a bad situation. I know I have had a time or two where Discount Tire has said I need a replacement and they can't put air in a tire or rotate it/touch it. To some degree it does feel like they are upselling, but I also understand that a big store/chain does not want to deal with the potential liability of a blowout with a tire that they signed off on. That said, it is a full service relationship that is to be cultivated with Discount Tire. I currently have a new car, but when my first set of tires comes due in about a year I will go straight to this Discount Tire to rekindle our relationship. read more

Rarely do you ever have a great experience with a tire store, thus one is absolutely the exception. Friendly, great service with that extra touch.... I showed up at their location, with a 31ft Motor home that was unsafe to drive because of an exploded tire. I had already called three other tire stores, who werent interested in helping me. These guys did. Over and beyond. A vehicle that big won't fit in their shop, so they had to attend to it outside in the parking lot. And they did, on a day when it literally poured rain the entire day. I didn't see it, but one or more of the Tech's must have been soaked totally. Soon they had me on the way with 6 brand new tires and a very fair price. Thank you for all that extra effort. I would recommend this place to everyone. I ordered a tire after running over a screw, as I wasn't sure of the severity of the issue and didn't want to be on a donut any longer than necessary. I made an early appointment, and they were very patient and willing to listen to my concerns. I told them that if my tire was fixable but another needed to be replaced, I would keep my order, but they were able to patch my tire and assured me that my other tires still had plenty of life in them. They refunded me for the tire and didn't charge me anything for the patch, even though they'd had to patch the tire and reinstall it. I felt like they were being completely honest with me, even when it meant not pushing a sale, and that's so refreshing to experience. read more

This place actually replaced my mom's car with two old tires after she purchased two new ones. How does that even happen? We had to take our car back to tell them. Management does not have an effective plan for people pulling in to get their tire pressure checked. The process takes forever. While we sit and wait, all of the workers are busy and don't even have time to help us. I live in Texas and right when you pull up, a worker comes out right away to check your tire pressure. I guess my horrible experience was worse than I thought. After a few weeks of driving, I still have the same problem on the tire they fixed. It loses 2 psi of pressure every week. Now it makes me wonder if there was a hidden agenda on their diagnosis. The technician never showed me the non-repairable puncture. While the front desk guy was very eager to sell tire insurance. What is tire insurance? If a tire is non-repairable, I only pay $30 to replace it regardless the age, wear, and condition of the damaged tire. So I ended up paying $120 for all four. As soon as I did that, out came the technician telling me that my tire was non-repairable. Hmmm... This is definitely worse than a time share scam. SCAMMERS! BEWARE OF THIS BRANCH! I'm at the 50,000 mile mark on my (what I still consider new) car and am about to take a long road trip in a few weeks, so it was time to find a tire place. Discount Tire is a large place in the very back of the Discover Mills parking lot that I drive by alot now that I'm living up in this area. My husband and I arrived in the morning and Mike Bell was very prompt and courteous. He didn't try to upsell us and we went with some middle-of-the-road tires. We pre-paid and left the car there since we had to get to work. Fifteen minutes after leaving, we realized we forgot to ask them if they could give us an idea on the remaining brake life while they had the wheels off. We called Mike and asked if they could check, and although they had already finished putting the new tires on (super fast!), Mike didn't hesitate to offer to have the crew check the brakes anyways, even though the wheels were all back on. He called us back a few minutes later to give us the status on the brake life. We really appreciated this! As for the place itself, it was very clean. The women's bathroom was cleaner than my home bathroom (which says alot) and plenty of had hand sanitizer, lotion and a little candy dish. Nice touch! Love, love, love this Discount Tire location. I've been to probably 5 in the Metro Atlanta area, and this is by far my favorite. Each and every time I visit, whether to get a new set of tires or ask a question about something, the guys are johnny-on-the-spot with a smile. They're knowledgeable, helpful, and quick. I even went in recently after misplacing a valve cap to take a shot in the dark and see if they'd give me a new one. Not only did the guy stop what he was doing to walk out with me and put it on my tire himself, but he also offered to check my air pressure for me. I went to discount tire a couple weeks ago to look at tires for my 2014 GMC Sierra. On my initial visit i looked at three different brands and tried designs with Kevin. He was good in helping compare theses three different sets and helped determine how much larger tires I could put on my truck... I did shop around and ended up with the Cooper Discoverer RTP. Today I called to schedule the install and Jeff explained to me we could install them in less than 45 minutes and they could do it today... When I arrive there around 5 PM Nigel greeted me and got me started. He verified this tires, the size and went through what was included and got started. In about 45 minutes the tires were installed paperwork was done tire shine had been applied and I was out the door. Each of the guys I worked with there, Kevin the initial quote, Jeff today on the phone and Nigel For the install and payment, explaining of the road hazard install the tires and out the door. You guys do a great job and do it all with a great attitude. We have put two sets of tires on my youngest son's truck and two sets of tires on my our other sons Jeep and now my truck all at this location, Sugarloaf Mills.
