Kinda the same as my last review whereas you make an appointment online and arrive 15 minutes early only to find the waiting room packed! My appointment was at 5:15 and 30 minutes later at 5:45 it is now going back to a bay! They close in 15 minutes so I'm sure hoping that whoever is doing my tire rotation isn't in a big hurry to leave at 6:00! I just don't understand why bother with appointments when 2 walk ins went before my vehicle! I've done better walking in then with the last two appointments. I really like my tires that I purchased from them 2 years ago but again that scheduled appointment was over an hour and a half late! They are getting worse than a doctors office with over booking! I changed my 2 star to a 3 stars because my car was done in 9 minutes. But just imagine had it went in within 5 or 10 minutes of my appointment time the total time would've been less then 20 minutes. read more

The biggest issue I've had with this location is bringing in my Tesla Model X for an alignment. I was assured that they could perform the service correctly, but the vehicle still pulls, and I have to keep the steering wheel turned to the right just to drive straight. When I raised the concern, I was told the problem was due to a worn tire. I replaced the tire, yet the issue remains unresolved. This shows the alignment was not performed correctly from the start. This is not the first concern I've had, when I previously had a tire changed here, all my tires were set to 35 PSI instead of the required 45 PSI. That's a basic but important detail that should not be overlooked. Although I was refunded for the alignment, I was very unhappy with how it was handled. Let it be noted that the Store Manager, Mitchell, specifically said the refund was given because "it isn't worth my time." He also stated that he placed a note in the system reading, "Do not ever do alignments for customers' cars in the future." Both comments came across as dismissive and unprofessional, and they did nothing to resolve the underlying issue of why the alignment could not be completed correctly. This entire experience reflects poor customer service, overselling of services, and an inability to deliver on promised work. Based on my experience, I would not recommend bringing Tesla or other EVs to this location. read more

I made an appointment in September and had two tires replaced. Recently I had four wheels replaced because the curbs kept jumping out and hitting them. Alexis helped me when I came in both times. The check-in and process and wait time were considerably short since I made an appointment online. Alain was very helpful explaining everything. Yesterday I brought in a vehicle for tire rotation. My appointment time was 1:30. My vehicle was taken back at 2:07. It was completed at 2:21. Today I brought in another vehicle for tire rotation. My appointment was 9:45 and my car was just taken back at 10:34. I understand that they may get behind but I'm not sure if they need to offer appointments every 15 minutes as they may not be able to keep up with the volume. Every other time I have come here my vehicle has been taken back within 10 minutes of my appointment time. And I have been here a lot and always very pleased with the minimal time I've had to wait. Discount Tire "Story" on their website starts with "Through honesty, service, and a willingness to pay it forward..." blah blah blah". That would be the exact opposite of my experience. Went in for an alignment and to get a small screw removed/plugged. They don't do alignments. Okay. But instead of repairing the tire they hem & haw & say it needs to be replaced. This is a tire that has something like 75% of the tread remaining. Rep said it was a "safety issue" since there was wear on the outside edge of the tire. This was true but it is normal wear (it is a performance vehicle which sometimes gets driven hard in corners). Drove away when he said "I know it doesn't look like much and the rest of the tire is good but we won't repair it & it can only be replaced". So took it by my usual tire shop (didn't take it there to begin with since couldn't get an appt for an alignment for 2+ weeks). When I mentioned what they said at Discount the tire techs laughed & said yes Discount Tire (among others) uses the "free tire repair" nonsense (didn't even know Discount offered to do this free) as a bait & switch. That they are notorious for telling people a simple repair (like removing a nail/screw/etc) can't be done due to (insert excuse here: Tire wear, safety issue, etc) and that most will believe the lie and buy a new tire. They said there was ZERO reason this tire could not be repaired and had it plugged & me on my way in 20 minutes. So I'd obviously recommend AVOIDING DISCOUNT TIRE altogether and do business with folks who actually are honest (instead of just using the flowery language on their website to draw potential buyers in & subject them to a bait & switch routine simply to make more money). read more

I had to stand in line just like everyone else, got to check in at 8:50, I was told there were several people ahead of me, so I got in the same queue as everyone else. My car got into the bay at 9:15 and I was done a few minutes after five after ten. (So basically I wound up waiting an hour and a half even with the appt).I had to leave work so my schedule was tight. The work they did was fine but what's the point of making an appt when they treat you just like everyone else? Poor customer service. I won't be back, especially if I need to be somewhere. read more

We brought our car in because it had a screw in a tire - a very fixable repair confirmed by the advisor. We already had the tire off and in the back. We also had all the lug nuts replaced because they were hosed. We left the car with them and went off to run errands. An hour later they called and said the car was ready. We picked up the car. When we got home I went to get the tire out of the back and noticed the screw was still there. The lug nuts had been replaced but the tire hadn't been touched. I took the car back and explained the situation to the advisor. He promised to have it taken care of right away. They did bring the car back into the bay promptly, but I sat there in the showroom, staring at it, while nothing was being done, for 45 minutes. They finally extracted the tire and repaired it. That took all of 5 minutes. Then I sat for another 20 minutes, again, with nothing being done, and for no good reason. The repair had been made. It was just still sitting in the bay. They finally pulled it out and returned my keys, well over an hour after I had been there, for a repair that took 5 minutes. I understand that they were busy and had lots of customers with work being done to their cars, but don't call and tell me my car is ready when it clearly isn't, and don't promise to have the problem remedied "right away" after I point out your error, if you can't actually repair it right away. I first visited Discount Tire in April, 2021 to have them check my tire balance. Joe met me in the check-in lane. Reviewed my issue, checked my tires, They willingly rebalanced my tires. Once completed, Joe says that there was no charge. Based on my experience I knew where I will purchase my next tires! The current tires are more than 5 years old and so, I decided to have them replaced today. Made an appointment, checked in and in 45 minutes, the job was completed. The place was EXTREMELY busy, and I observed an efficient operation, with satisfied customers in abundance. I highly recommend this Discount Tire location. Back in the day I used to work for NTW, before it turned to NTB. We worked on very high quality vehicles and tires and I learned a number of tricks and industry secrets from this company. Fast forward, I have a slow leak in my driver rear tire. I schedule an appt with this location of Discount tire. Prior to the rep taking my car I let him know that I'm not ignorant about how the tire industry works. Hint hint. As expected, the rep tried to tell me that they couldn't fix the tire, because of "secondary wear". For folks that don't know, a nail was found in the "center" of the tread. Completely repairable. Secondary wear occurs under the primary tread pattern. The primary tread pattern was still in tact. They've done this before. They try to get folks to buy tires when they don't need them. They gaslight people into thinking they need new tires, when they don't. Completely unethical. They the guy blamed it on his manager. I'm out. Never again will I buy from Discount tire. I like to give a shout out to my man Scott. Who was very helpful in helping find the right tires for my car. The first set that I purchased had a terrible ride on my vehicle and I was a bit nervous about how I would be treated after they have been on my car for a couple of days. I called Scott and expressed my concerns of having given the wrong tires and thought I would be given the run around. To the contrary Scott told me to come in right away and they would change them out without any hesitation at all. When I got there we looked at other brands and decided on what I am currently running on now. My car is riding as smooth as I hoped and that is the reason I am a loyal customer at this location. Let me tell you, it's not fun living in an active construction zone because you're bound to run over a nail or two. That is just what happened to me sometime last week. I noticed that my tire pressure light (looks like a lantern with a squiggly bottom on most dashboards) kept illuminating even after filling my tire with air to the appropriate level. After the light illuminated and stayed on after the refill of air, I knew something was wrong but I couldn't see where the puncture was. Luckily, my mechanics at a local Valvoline informed me a few weeks back that Discount Tire Company does multiple tire services for FREE (inclusive of: tire pressure check, rotation, nail removal, etc.) After the continuous tire deflation, I drove to this local Discount Tire Company and they took excellent care of me. It wasn't that busy when I went around 3pm on a Monday, so they were able to take a look at my tire after gathering a little bit of information about me. Depending on the crowd, and your issue (i.e. nail in tire), the whole process can take around 30-45 minutes if they find an issue. As it turned out I had 2 nails in my rear passenger that they were able to remove. They not only removed the nail but they also gave me the old tire sensors they replaced. Job well done. This location does have a decent waiting area with some beverages that include coffee and bottled water. While waiting you can also view some of their inventory of tires in case you are in the market for some new tires. read more

I hit a curb and nicked my front right tire & was concerned. I just bought this car so the low profile tires were less than 2k miles & I drove the 7 hour drive to GA for Thanksgiving. I scheduled an appointment the night before online. The guys saw me right away. Two guys looked at the tire & determined that I didn't need a new tire. They explained why & assured me that I would be safe driving back to Florida and continued driving. It was cosmetic and not hazardous. What a relief to have honest professionals to rely on. Bring a sleeping bag. Was there early noon and sat in lobby for 3 hours while other people that came in after me were helped and left even after i paid for a whole set of tires. I eventually left only having to come back to get my set of tires put on before they closed. Most of the guys here are great workers and are pretty good about what they do. Discount Tire checked my tire pressure and advised me one of my tires' pressure was low. I mentioned it must be a slow leak and made an appointment with Alexis for them to plug it. I noticed he seemed reluctant, but didn't think much about it. Later, after they inspected the tire, he advised the tire couldn't be plugged and I needed to replace it. He also commented I must've have had a "bad" alignment and plugging the tire would result in the tire potentially being worn to the wire. Interesting. I stated the tire looked like normal wear and probably needed another alignment. Needless to say, I told them to install the tire back on my car. I left and drove elsewhere, took it to another tire place. They immediately plugged my tire with no questions, no comments and no non-sense. And, they never stated the tire was beyond plugging. I was told the tire was in pretty good condition and still in the "green" area, no need for replacement. Discount Tire was willing to allow me to drive a potentially unsafe vehicle just so they could sell another tire. This company is generally dishonest and unethical. I'd never recommend. I really don't know because this tire store just changed everything I thought I knew about high level customer service. I still can't really describe how I feel. A part of me was perplexed as to how something as simple as a tire shop could give you Brooks Brothers service and think that was normal. Imagine going into Waffle House and being served on a 1,200 Egyptian thread count tablecloth, having your crumbs gathered for you from the table and being offered a glass of 2015 Dalla Valle Maya (full glass, not half). . . Like it's not like you don't deserve it, but when going into Waffle House a part of you expects an egg sandwich with shell pieces in it, too much butter being used and the taste of a partially cleaned griddle in your hash browns - anything else becomes weird!! But hell, they did it. It's not just a tire shop. It's N entire experience. From the chat service, the phone agents and the staff upon arrival they were so accommodating and efficient. The part that really got to me was that the call center is off site, the store is local and the email team (not sure where that site is) worked in such synchronization that was simply unparalleled from any other business I know that has remote counterparts/departments. Honestly, just a flawless system! Timing: My tire went Friday; I called them at 4:30PM, but they didn't have any of my Mercedes model tires in stock. Annoyed because it was a Friday and I'm thinking it'll take days to come in, I prepared to thank them and hang up. However, the man informed me he can order and have it in within a few hours. I had to confirm with him twice because I'm wondering what drone was about deliver my heavy ass tire to Snellville. You guys ... they ordered my tire and had it delivered to the store within a few hours, booked me for an appointment and had the tire on in 30 minutes. That means I went from calling, to them ordering the tire off site, to having it delivered and installed. That entire situation was within 18 hours!! Like come on, even Amazon Prime next day isn't delivering that quickly! Had I called earlier (not that close to closing) he told me he could've had it ordered, delivered and installed the same day. I ordered a set of new tires for my vehicle through the Discount Tire website, set-up an installation appt, and paid for my tires. The next day David contacted me to let me know the tires had been discontinued and should not have been on the list. He assisted me with identifying the suitable replacement set and then ordered them from out of state. David honored the price of the original tires and gave me a credit for the difference. (The new model tires were more expensive) I received multiple follow-up personal phone calls to keep me informed of the shipment, set-up a new installation appointment, and personal notification when the tires arrived. David even went and checked the Fed Ex arrival to ensure the tires were on-site before setting the appointment. Upon my arrival to my appointment, I was greeted by a smiling and polite David who made my morning visit worry free. The team of David and Joe at the front counter plus Brian on installation was an absolute example of positive customer service. While waiting, I was informed of technical delay with a pre-set plan to address and complete the installation. No stress. No negative attitudes. I wanted to write a review when I went to make my initial tire purchase several months ago, but procrastinated too long. Today, I had a tire deflate while I was driving to work. I called to make an appointment to have it replaced and chose this location because they were so friendly and prompt when I went there originally. Joe greeted me at the door and invited me in to wait since I was a tad early. They fixed the tire and put the spare back under the car for me (which I REALLY appreciated). Tried the "we can't patch your rear tire because you need new front tires, and we would be legally liable if we allowed you to leave without replacing them." Google it - That's always a scam (a variation on "we can't release your car to you ..."). There's no legal requirement on them to require a repair that the customer does not want. If they feel that there is liability, they can always request a waiver from the customer. He then tried to tell me that they could still be sued by a third party who was injured - That's just not the case under liability law. Well, you can sue, but you wouldn't win. With 4/32nds tread and some *minor* curb rash, I was planning on replacing them soon. But it won't be from a place willing to run a dishonest business like that. Other issues: - When I bought these tires from the same store, they ordered them, told me they would arrive in two days. When I called two days later, they told me they'd accidentally put them on another customer's vehicle. I never reviewed them on that gaffe, but I'll add it here since it was another mark against their customer service. - For this patch, I made an appointment and arrived on time. They didn't get around to me for 25 minutes, after which they refused to do the patch. read more

Was quoted a price over the phone and told to come in for a possible manufacturer credit on my old tires. Well, I got there and was told that's only for certain tires, not my current tires. Also told the tires I wanted wouldn't be in for days and I needed to travel out of town. Needless to say I was upset! Lee was my sales/service person and he could tell I wasn't happy. He offered another brand tire, which came out cheaper than the initial brand I wanted and it was available the same day. Lee had me out in 45 minutes with 4 new tires..spending less money! However, Aaron who serviced our car, found a nail in tire and repaired the puncture. When asked about the cost, the man agent said there would be no fee. The wait for new tires was long so I opted to get some air and it was recommended I call ahead to make an appointment. Later that day, I called to make an 11am appointment and validated the cost and tire option was available in airee. Day of, I show up at 10:55am and am immediately approached. My treads are checked, I'm delighted to hear my purchase is $200 less than expected because of the difference in my tire usage (the ones being replaced) and mileage guarantee, and I'm OUT THE DOOR BEFORE 11:20am. The service here is so good! I went on a Saturday to get 1 tire changed out and they were slammed. What I greatly appreciated was that they managed my expectation to tell me a 90 minute wait. Well it was just about 90 minutes. The lobby is clean, lots of magazines to read and comfortable. So I'm from out of the state, my tire gets a large bolt in it while I'm working. I show up at Discount Tires at 8:00AM. They immediately get me in and start working on my tire. While I'm sitting and waiting I note that everyone working is extremely friendly, courteous and professional. 38 minutes later they tell me it's done and have me back out. I remind them that I've still not paid for the service. "Oh no sir, no charge". WHAT? No charge for removing my wheel, taking the tire of of the wheel, patching it and putting it back on? This place is awesome! I came here for a tire rotation. Everyone is really friendly and informative and provide great customer service. The representative who worked with me answered all my questions and educated me about what I need to know for my tires. My wait time was only 15 minutes, but probably because I went at a good time. I actually walked to Starbucks up the street and came back and it was ready. When I came back, a different representative gave me my keys and receipt and was equally as friendly so the customer service is definitely consistent.
