I had this shop repair my AC in September 2025 and experienced a strange issue where the AC would not turn on when the car was parked on hot days. I garage park my car so I rarely experienced the issue. With this hot weather recently the issue regularly appeared. I took it in as I had a two year warranty. After having the car for half a day they insisted nothing was wrong. They begrudgingly agreed to test again. After a few hours of the car parked in the hot sun, they saw the problem. They subsequently told me the Freon and PAC oil was way out of specs and I needed an evac and recharge. The problem is they were the only people to touch the AC and last to evac/recharge. When I explained this, they stated it was my fault as I must have had someone else work on it. I told them no one else but them worked on it. They said that is impossible. I pointed out how it could happen and they said even if they did make a mistake the Freon is not covered under warranty. When they originally fixed my AC they had issues and had to install a second compressor. Yet they stated they don't make mistakes. Customers vote with their wallet and they lost this customer of several years who has spent thousands on various services. Shame on you Grayson Tire & Automotive, do better. I will no longer recommend them on this platform.

WARNING -- SERIOUS SAFETY HAZARD -- ZERO STARS…read more I brought my 1965 Chevrolet Impala (a classic collector vehicle) to Mavis Tires & Brakes in Hoschton, GA around May 1, 2026 for a complete suspension job. They also installed brand new Goodyear General tires at the same time. I paid approximately $1,800-$2,000 for this work. Less than 500 MILES later I noticed my tires were toeing out and feathering badly. I put the vehicle on a lift and was absolutely shocked at what I found: -- Tie rod sleeve on driver side LOOSE with STRIPPED OUT nuts and bolts -- Outer tie rod bushing on passenger side DAMAGED -- Both upper ball joint bushings on BOTH sides DAMAGED -- Sway bar bolt on passenger side BUSTED -- Brand new Goodyear General tires DESTROYED from severe feathering The steering was so loose the vehicle darted from one side of the road to the other. This vehicle was NOT SAFE TO DRIVE. At highway speed I could have lost complete steering control and caused a serious or fatal accident -- not just to myself but to every other driver on the road. I took the vehicle to a second reputable shop who confirmed every single finding AND discovered additional problems Mavis created. That shop tightened the sleeves and made the vehicle road worthy enough to drive home -- AND THEY DID IT ALL FOR FREE. A shop that had absolutely nothing to do with this situation showed more professionalism, integrity, and decency than Mavis who took my $1,800-$2,000 and left me with a dangerously unsafe classic vehicle. I have photos, video, and written documentation of all defects. I have witnesses. The repairs are STILL NOT FULLY RESOLVED. I am now demanding full compensation from Mavis corporate to have this work completed correctly at a shop of my choosing. I will NEVER allow Mavis Hoschton to touch my vehicle again. When I brought this to Mavis attention the assistant manager was dismissive, questioned why I was just bringing it in, and showed complete indifference to a serious safety hazard that his shop created. Mavis took zero responsibility and offered nothing. IF THIS IS NOT PROPERLY RESOLVED THEY WILL BE SPEAKING TO MY ATTORNEY. I HAVE PHOTOS, VIDEO, DOCUMENTATION, AND WITNESSES. Do NOT bring your vehicle -- especially a classic or collector car -- to this location. What Mavis Hoschton did to my irreplaceable 1965 Impala was negligent, dangerous, and could have been fatal.

I've taken my Toyota Tundra here several times to get work done and they always resolved the issue in a very short amount of time. Their quotes and their prices are within reason. Just the other day, my wife had a problem with a window on her Nissan. I was away at work and she decided to take her car to the Premier Nissan Mall of Georgia Dealership on Buford Drive. She informed them that she had an engine light on and all the widows periodically would not roll up or down all the way. They charged my wife a diagnostic fee of 185.00 for each identified issue, with other fees and tax that came to $381.00 (includes a charge for credit card usage for payment). As part of their assessment, they determined that only 1 window motor needed to be replaced and the O2 Sensor needed replacing. In addition, they provided quotes for replacing the tires and wheel alignment. The total repair for the two issues we brought the car in for came to approximately $1,450. If my wife would have agreed to the other suggested quotes for tires and the alignment, the total would be $2,234.02!!! That's ridiculous!!!! $862.26 for replacing one motor, when all the windows in her 4-door car was having problems. Thank goodness I was able to go with her to discuss their assessment. I advise my wife we need to take her car to this Japanese Auto Repair, which I've used many times before. After dropping the car off, Japanese Auto Repair informed us that they just simply reset the window control mechanism, which resolved all the problems with the windows not going up and down correctly. This was done at no charge ($0) to us. Next, they required the part (O2 Sensor) which they would have on hand the next day. Next day, as promised, they called and informed me that my wife's car was repaired and ready for pickup. I am very pleased with the service we get from this location and will send my wife, our kids and all our friends there for all future service activities on her car. If you want quality auto service performing your Japanese vehicle, then I recommend using Japanese Auto Repair!!! Just to conclude this review, I want to share what it cost to actually resolve the problems with my wife's car. The total repair cost from Japanese Auto Repair was $301, which was less than what my wife had to pay the Dealer's incorrect diagnostic fee ($380).

My recent experience here was not only a prime example of unethical billing but also a horrifying instance of mechanical negligence that nearly cost me my life. ​Initially, their inspection report stated that I only needed to replace my rear brake pads. However, the final estimate and invoice heavily inflated the scope of work, charging me for rear brake pads, rotors, and a brake fluid exchange. ​The real nightmare began a few days after I got my car back. While driving, a brake caliper bolt completely fell out. This is an absolutely unacceptable and fatal error for a mechanic to make. Due to their incompetent work, my brakes failed, and it could have easily resulted in a deadly accident. ​I managed to slowly and carefully limp my car to a nearby, different auto shop to get it safely re-attached and repaired. When I contacted Team Ryan to demand a refund for their botched brake job as well as the emergency repair costs from the other shop, their response was completely absurd. They agreed to reimburse the cost of the emergency repair but blatantly refused to refund the original brake job, claiming that "the work was already done." ​They charged me for unnecessary parts, performed incredibly dangerous and sloppy work that endangered my life, and still felt entitled to keep the money for the labor they completely botched. ​If you value your safety, your life, and your hard-earned money, do not bring your car to Team Ryan. This is not a shop you can trust. ​[UPDATE in response to the owner's reply] ​It is terrifying that you publicly classify leaving a brake caliper bolt loose on a heavy vehicle as mere "human error" rather than "severe negligence." Failing to properly secure a critical life-safety component is the absolute definition of negligence. ​Yes, you paid for the secondary shop's emergency repair--but only because your botched work left me stranded with an imminent catastrophic failure. However, you conveniently left out the fact that you are STILL refusing to refund the nearly $1,000 I paid YOU for the original, dangerously defective brake job. ​"Standing behind your work" should mean fully refunding a service that actively put a customer's life at risk, not just paying off the emergency fix while pocketing the money for the failed job.
