I have been a loyal customer for 4 years now and after the experience with my last visit that will have to come to an end. My wheels were scratched up after I had two tires mounted and when I reached out about it I was told I'd have to pay money to get them repaired! Victor said "Rock chips from my front wheels kicked up and scratched my rear wheels." He even gave me his personal number to call him so he could get more info and "review the footage" he said "it's too blurry to make out" I sent before and after pictures as well and eventually he blocked my number, Like dude seriously? Anyway he basically refused to fully resolve the issue and now I'm left with a buck of scratches on my $1000+ kansei tandem wheels that I spent hard earned money on! What a bummer! I purchased a pair of sport tires for my wife's SUV and needed to get them installed for her and I took them here after finding out they were located right near 316. I was extremely impressed, the service here is excellent, very friendly staff and the cost was great as well just for the to install them and do the balance. Later on I purchased another set and had these guys install them on the front. The first visit was just for the rear two, but because we were about to drive up to Chicago, it was important that our vehicle was safe to make the trip. Usually I always drove far away to have another shop do all my tire installing, but since I found this place I will continue to come here instead. As the other reviewer said, they rather take cash. It looks like a small family owned business, which is great, but as I understand credit card fees are high, so they rather have people pay with cash. Which I don't mind. Going to the ATM before coming here is not a big deal for me. [ Tip on finding this place ] Now, the first time I came here it was hard to find the place. I would recommend taking 316/University Parkway as if you were driving towards Athens, turn left onto Hi Hope Road, and than drive up about a mile or so, and turn right onto Petty Road. If I could give these guys six stars I would! They came through in a pinch when I was driving through Atlanta on my way to Charlotte. I blew a tire about 15 to 20 minutes away from their location. The horrible experience with the tow truck company is a whole Nother review but once I got to Global, they took care of me. Even though I call discount tires in a couple of other local places to see if they have a tire to fit my 2012 Mustang, for some reason nobody seem to have an affordable tire. Global tires actually had two options! They literally got me in and out in about 20 minutes. I sat down in the lobby, prepared to be there for a couple of hours, especially since I didn't have an appointment. That wasn't even an issue. When my daughter needed her tires mounted on her new rims she took it to these guys and they treated her awesome so when i had a slow leak I figured i'd give them a try. They found the leak - it was a bad bead where the previous shop failed to clean the rim properly. They cleaned the rim and remounted the tire while I waited. The salesman and he had been using messenger ap all morning so the salesman did have a way to reach him if he needed to. When my husband got there the salesman told him he had just sold the tires. But that he could get him the same set in two days for another $250. Seems a lot like a bait and switch. Besides the fact I rarely have a day off with him but this was a good deal so we cancelled our plans so he could go get the tires. He did have some other truck tires for another truck we have and it is a good deal- but I am saddened that we missed our time off together and the salesman didn't reach out at all. Place is trash, the young kid couldn't fix my car correctly nor get 2 alignments on point. Steering is worse than when it first went in and when you drive in excess of 100mph constantly with a pull is not safe at all. Missed 4 days of work so they could work on my car and they still didn't get to work on my car till the 4th day. I was promised that it would take 6-8 hours total. I've been coming to global tires before it was the business it is today, they only had 1 small bay in the building. I've referred countless customers over the years (10 or 12 at least). But you guys need to make some improvements with your customer service. Yesterday I called ahead and was told that I could bring my car in for an alignment at 4. I arrived at 4! I was told the alignment guy went home and they were having some work done on one of their overhead doors then everyone simply walked away from me leaving me standing there....really! I made an appointment, I stopped everything I was doing , drove to your location to be ignored and treated as if my time or business wasn't important. After all of these years it was definitely a wake up call, loyalty counts for nothing! Not to mention the last few times I've gone there to get my vehicles aligned the alignment guy was gone for hours for lunch or just didn't show up for work at all. Moving forward I will definitely reconsider where I spend my money and where I send my car guy friends! read more
