Ive been a Discount Tire customer for over 25 years because of their great prices and customer service. I bought a new to me vehicle and within a month I noticed a slow leak. I took it to my local DT, and they removed some metal from my tire, and patched it up. I went to pay for it when they were done and it was no charge! Something they just do. I probably should have known that policy, but I did not. Fabulous customer service! read more

My wife came to this store with a nail in the tire, and these guys got her patched up and back on the road. Didnt charge a dime, and couldnt have been any nicer. We live out of state, and have been discount tire loyals for 15 plus years. So I would kind of expect that type of treatment at my home store here in California. But these guys in Mankato treated her as if she was a regular, and that is why we will remain Discount faithful. Since we bought a home in Minnesota to be near the grandkids, we'll be buying our new tires from this team. I wish every business would do business the way Discount does. They might not do alignment, but these boys do all the rest. And let me tell you they do it best. Best service, best prices, best experience. Two of the guys I'm most familiar with Tyler and Chai, are of the highest degree. Very professional and considerate of my safety as well as their own, when it came to a tire with uneven wear. While they advised me they couldn't help with my problem that day, they would later have me return and put my premounted snow tires on and then address the slow leak I was having. While I may not have gotten the problem fixed that day, as it wasn't a life threatening issue (only a few pounds of air lost a day if even), we had a solution within 15 minutes of my arrival and a plan going forward that actually worked for me. It was almost surreal how painless this was. And this is but one of the many exceptional experiences I have had with this store. My family and it's business has been getting tires from this location for many years prior to me meeting the guys mentioned above and I can say without doubt they are the best tire shop in town. They are always there to take your call or address any issue at a moments notice and will promptly schedule service at the soonest possible convenience. read more

Set up appointment, arrived 30 minutes early. Store was a crowded, unorganized mess! Stood in line and waited and waited and waited. Finally was my turn to talk to tire geek, no priority line for appts. Spoke to geek right at scheduled time of appt, car should have been in shop by now, was told I was 3rd in line and they would get to my vehicle in 45 minutes! What is the purpose of making an appointment, when they were taking other peoples cars in as they arrived? I heard them tell the people in front of me, they would get their car in ASAP. After a series of really bad recent experiences with a place we've been going to for 14+ years, we decided to try Discount Tire for a new set of tires. They didn't have the size we needed in stock, but they ordered a set and they arrived in a couple of days. I set up an appointment to have the tires put on (Saturday morning) and when I arrived there was a long line of people waiting. Surprisingly, they moved through the people in minutes and Zach was the person who waited on me. I was told since I had an appointment, they would move me to the next car. Long story/short: 30 minutes later I had a new set of tires mounted, balanced and paid for. I couldn't believe how efficient they were. There must have been 20 people working and all 6+ garage bays in service. I was also impressed with all the services they offer after you buy the tire. Free rotations, etc... seems very generous and I've been told they will work on your tires on your other cars, even if you didn't buy the tires there. All in all: A+ Most impressed and will buy all my future tires from them. read more

Came in around 2 in the afternoon wanting my front two tires changed. Was told to come back at 5 and they'd have me right in. Currently sitting here at 6 and my car hasn't even been touched. Then went to complain and was told it would be another 45 min wait. Very disappointed especially on a holiday. I don't have time for this. Currently now it's 6:30 and I'm still waiting. Would not recommend. Really wish I didn't even have to put one star if possible I'd put none. read more

I called there to see if I could get a tire fixed, they said sure they could get me right in. So I get the vehicle there within 10 minutes of calling and they tell me it would be an 45 min and when I told them I called they called me a liar for saying they told me they could get me right in. I have always had Sears put my tires on in the winter. They always took over 2hours!! Made an appointment at Discount Tire this year and was in and out in 45minutes. Cost is the same, but much better service!! Always make an appointment so that you are waited on when you arrive here and don't have to wait like the walk-ins do. If you don't have 5 hours in you me pocket, I suggest a different tire business. Friendly service though. --- they were very professional about the mistake and friendly about it. Do not buy Tire sensors from them! They will be learning on your car. I spent more than 200$ on sensors that I bought from them and I actually did not benefit from them not even 1%. They do not know how to program them, so do not spend on them! read more

Tires are fine and match price on phone. BUT. You add on all the extra costs almost another$200 above the price of tires. Seems almost like scam. Have never seen the amount add on cost felt ripped off. Please be aware all the add ons are not included on tire price they give you. Don't feel I can recommend due to this. I will go elsewhere. I have 5 cars can't afford all the add in costs from this place. Can do better elsewhere. read more

They sold us tires that were the wrong size for the car. Didn't realize it until I took it to another shop where they figured out that the tires had caused $2,000 damage to the viscous coupler, which had to be replaced. Beware! read more

How do I give 0 stars? I went to Discount Tires today to replace two tires on my teenage daughter's van. I was persuaded to purchase four new tires of a higher quality & price. I was told by Tyler Chadderdon that I needed these especially because the driver of the vehicle was a teenager! I then paid for FOUR new tires. After returning home, my husband discovered the front tire was THE SAME OLD TIRE WITH A GASH IN IT! I called immediately & talked to Ryan who sounded as surprised as I was. I told him they were on their way back with the van & he said that they would take care of us! My husband & daughter returned with the van, & got no apology what so ever! (Ryan was no where to be found!) Tyler said he was on his lunch break when we picked up the van earlier in the day, so he wasn't able to tell us that they couldn't get the lug nut off & we needed to go to Midas. Bottom line, we PAID for new tires, disposal fee, installation, valves, rotation & lifetime repairs for FOUR tires. We were sent off down the road believing this to be true. If this was a ridiculous error on Discount Tires part, they need to up their customer service. It is disheartening to me that our safety & business are not important to them! read more
