You gotta love a good deal. Discount Tire has my undying loyalty due to free tire air checks, free plugs for nails and an overall outstanding business model. They have fixed enough holes in my tires for free over the years so when I need new treads I always go there instead of having the dealership do it. This location is pretty busy most of the time, as they all are, but they move the customers through pretty quick. Yesterday they advised me that I need to start thinking about new tires, without being heavy handed on the sales pitch except to say the have financing options available. Huge shoutout to Brandon. I called last minute before they closed asking for help as I had to go back home to California the following morning just for my tires to be checked. Told me as long I got there before they closed they would take care of me, which I did 5 mins before. He came out and inspected them, told me how all 4 needed to be replaced. These guys were the best. I blew out a tire and needed just one new one. The guy helping me gave me my options and told me what he'd recommend but didn't try to upsell me. I asked them to put the new tire on the rim and said I'd just swap it out myself since they were busy i thought this would be quicker than waiting an hour or two to get in. They took care of me in under 30 mins. I pulled around the corner to swap the tire myself and a guy from the shop came out and gave me a hand putting it on completely unprovoked. we recently bought 4 new tires from Discount Tire on S Power Rd in Mesa. for a small extra fee they sent a specially equipped truck and put all the tires on in our carport while my elderly husband was able to watch his football game. Excellent option rather than sitting in a crowded waiting room. Yesterday I got a nail in my tire which made it go very flat. For only $50, a service person (Alex) came to our house and put the spare on the car and took the flat one to the shop to be repaired. The plan was for me to drive to the shop as soon as they called to tell me it was fixed. Instead of calling, I heard some noise in the carport and Alex was back putting the repaired tire back on the car. He said that he wanted to make it more convenient for me (no doubt noticed that we are no longer young). I call this service above and beyond expectations, and would highly recommend this business where we were always treated by pleasant, helpful and courteous people. read more

What do you say about Discount Tire? .they don't have anybody that knows how to balance a tire. They take TPMS sensors out of your brand new truck. so later that day I go back and tell him to check it because it's not working and the dude said they took it out because they didn't think it needed it . But anyway, the list goes on and on.You gotta go in five times and then pay another shop to rebalance them.Then you put a call in to corporate they tell you that they will call you back in 24 hours within. This location sucks. Drive 4 mins down the street to another discount tire location and you will be treated way better. I scheduled a 5:30 appt over the phone so I wouldn't be waiting for an hour. I show up 5:25 and check in and they say they can't see my appointment. I could see my name on there so I point it out and he quickly changes screens and deletes it. Then tells me I was scheduled for yesterday. You could tell he was lying. Then he says he can "maybe" squeeze me in the schedule.. he then tells me my tires are too old to rotate my tires and he's not allowed to work on them. I'm driving a brand new car lol. He tries to sell me new tires- I ask for my Keys and just leave. I called a discount down the street on Recker / Main. They were polite to me and got me in and out in 90 seconds same day and rotated my tires and were VERY polite. Excellent customer service. I don't remember the guy who treated me bad, but he was the Mexican guy. But all 3 guys on the shift were in on it just trying to get rid of customers to close up shop faster. I have appt later today so they said would be done in a hr I heard zero from them as i went to eat cam back 1hr and 10 mins later and was sitting in same spot. Three gals (including nearly 88 year old Mom) were out for a nice visit at Black Angus and when we left, my car had a flashing "flat tire" message which I had never seen before. Discount Tire was right across the parking lot. We pulled up around 6:30 p.m. as they were dropping the big doors as they were closed. They could see the look of panic on my face. I didn't think to get the names of the few employees that were so kind and stayed to get a big screw out of my tire, repair it and get it back on. It probably took 20 minutes but they had smiles on their faces and said it's their pleasure to keep customers safe on the road. I've stopped in on several occasions for air pressure checks... I stopped in last night for air since my tire light came on.... The guy said one tire was 13 under psi so to come back for a free "flat repair" so...I called at 8 this morning when they opened....they were able to get me in an hour later!! Since the tires weren't bought here I paid for a rotate/balance.... Upon inspection, they DID find a nail in the tire...which they repaired. I was given an estimate of about 45 minutes...potentially an hour... The guy gave me my receipt and talked to me....40 minutes later!! Thank you Discount Tire!!....for quick friendly service!! Power Rd and Hampton Ave site was really quick and accommodating. I came in with an appointment, but it was the wrong site. Zachary fit me in right away. He was friendly, knowledgeable and detailed. I was in and out in about 35 minutes. The next day one of my hubcaps fell off. After informing them they offered to replace the broken cap. The fixed the issue quickly and Victor ordered and placed them on my car pleasantly and as soon as I arrived. Every associate I encountered had a smile and was nice. Rarely use the Warranty/Road Hazzard but when i do usually have issues with the Power Road location. This time I brought it in for a flat repair and vibration , wanted flat fixed , tires rotated and balanced. Told Chase, he said no problem, waited 3-4 hours went to pick it up asked Chase if they found any issues with the other tires, he said no just the one. Once i get home im looking the car over and realized they only did the the flat repair, didn't balance and rotate the others. Now, I have to go back , and wait again. When I called to tell them the work wasn't completed, guy on the phone (not Chase) wanted to argue saying they did do it, then said bring it back. read more

Called on trailer tire purchase , told that I could leave my trailer and they would do the work while I was gone and could pick up before 6pm. Lie. While I was there I showed them a road hazard issue tire that was installed for less then 2 years on a new car and they would not honor its blowout I had on the freeway. Was told there was an alignment issue and that's what caused the tire blow out , not my impact with road debris. Whatever. This is second time Discount has failed to honor their commitment with the insurance they sell you on tires. It's a sucker bet as they do not pay in my experience. Will not return to this store. I've been going to Discount for maybe for the last 1520 years but the last time I went there I had new tires put on balance and rotation, at least that's what they told me and my car never ran right after that I had to take it to the dealership and the dealership told me whoever rotated the tires did it wrong, they rotated my tires the correct way and I drove out of there without ever having that problem again read more

This place is dangerous. I took my car there because two tires had a slow leak to get repaired or replaced. After 3.5 hours of waiting they came back to me and said nothing is wrong. No leaks. I drove home which is about 5 miles away and already my pressure alarm went off. I took one off this morning and there was a obvious crack in the rim. Took the other and the same think. Obvious crack in the rim. They either didn't even look at it or remounted my tires on dangerous rims and let me drive off. This is negligent and possible illegal business practice.
