I went on Friday, 9/4, to get 2 tires replaced, and it was a seamless and pleasant experience! I purchased the tires online. I'm on a tight budget at this time, and not able to afford top rated tires, but found middle of the road ones with good ratings. The only reason that they told me the cost of better tires was because I asked if there were any deals. There was zero pushiness and they respected that I had made my purchase and was expecting the installation as already paid for. Once they took my car back, it was maybe 30 min TOPS before they were done, and they were busy! They actually took into account that I wasn't a drop in and had made an appt, which they respected. Update. This is my second time leaving an honest review for this company. My first review was taken down. Over $3,500 worth of damage caused. I can't believe any real "auto technicians" could let a vehicle leave the lot like this. They saw this and said nothing or didn't see it at all. Either option is incredibly scary and shows how incompetent they are. My brake line was completely bent. Also do not bother with the "claims" department they have no working number and outsource everything to a third party company who will take months to respond and deny your claim and all responsibility anyways. Also just know if they comment on this review and say something like "we take this seriously and will be reaching out" they will absolutely not be reaching out and just commenting to say face. They did a good job putting the two new tires on my car. I've driven 10 miles and they haven't fallen off yet. So far, so good! However, here's the deal, when I got into the car, the "check tire" light was on. Okay. Maybe I need to drive a few miles. Usually I need to drive a few miles. I know I just bought two new tires that they would rotate the back to the front and put the new ones on the back. I can't imagine they would not check to make sure all my tires had air in them. Still driving. Light still on. I call discount tire to ensure if it's a policy to check the air in the tires when doing a tire rotation/add new tires. The rep said said, with a cheer in his voice, "YES! That's the first thing they do." Then it must be the sensor, I thought. I get home and grab my air meter reader. Back left (new) was at 30. Back right (new) was at 32. Front right (old but good still. Or as the customer service rep stated "almost brand new!") that one was at 28 and here is why my sensor was triggering. My front left was at 26. If you want anything done right, you gotta do it yourself. I've bought too many replacement things lately to know that products are going to s#!t and customer service is lacking at many facilities. Discount Tire is not set apart. They are like everywhere else. Skip a step to hurry the process. Thankfully, I had a sensor tell me to look for this. I really hope nobody else is leaving there without sensors or the knack to double check other people's work. If this thing lets me, I'll send a pic of the tire pressures so you can see for yourself. The sad thing about this is today is their special "come fill your car's tires with air for free" day. Well, they charged me and I still didn't get air. Maybe they are saving the air for their event. Whatever the case, I don't even trust their free air. I wasn't even going to mention this until the air thing. I was going to let this slide but I'm here, so why not. I won't mention names because I really don't mean to degrade the person when it's clearly a management issue. But when I went to pick up my keys, I was literally the only one in the lobby. The rep asked me, "how can I help you?" I told him I'm there to pick up my car. He said, "one moment" as he turned around to go look for them. However, the door to the business opened and it got his attention. It must have been someone he was in previous conversation with. The conversation seems like they are friends. Wait a minute! What? Is this really happening right now? Did this rep just set me aside to continue a dialogue with a different customer/ or potential friend? Imagine being in line at he grocery store and the clerk is about to ring you up. The clerk even says "can I help you?" Then the clerk notices someone behind you and decides to stop checking you out and finish the conversation with that other person before continuing to scan your products through. I wish the rep would have just said, "give me a moment, I not ready to help you yet, rather than, "how can I help you?" and then proceed to help someone else. I had all day. I'm not in a hurry. I can wait to be next. I'd rather wait to be helped 100% than be part of this 33% helpful person. Or if he would have asked, "hey, I started helping you when wasn't ready to yet, would you mind if I get this real quick?" I mean, anything but "can I help you?" Me: "sure". Him, "hi Sally, how are you doing? Tell me about the kids!" Me: "uhh, should I ask someone else to help me? You don't seem to be very good at it." PLUS, when it was time to finally end all the work that was more important than me, he couldn't even find my keys in the little bin. He needed someone else to come help him. Now that I think about it, I'm it, I'm not even sure he worked for discount tire. Here's the deal, I'm still going to give discount tire a 3. If I could give a 2.8, I would. If I could rate bits and pieces at a time, I would. Instead, I'll send these pics and tell you about the tragedy that has become of my local discount tire. If they are anything like many corporations of 2025, it's that everyone is panicking about losing their jobs more than they are interested in knowing how to be better at them. I've come here for years. Yesterday was the most blatant money grab I've ever experienced. Told me I'm in the red on my tires. like 2/32 or something like that. Im like- well I just bought it 4 months ago, so that seems crazy. They tore apart the dealership I purchased it from saying they couldn't believe they let me leave with tires like that. I go to not one but TWO other places and had my tires measured. At 4/32 front tires and 5/32 back tire..or whatever. Tires that'll last me like another year. I had only come in to replace one tire that couldn't be repaired. Glad I got 2nd and 3rd opinions. Quit trying to take advantage of women/customers in general. read more

So I have been a customer for like 20 years here. I had my tires rotated, they called and said that the lug nuts needed to be replaced. Something about the heat from the breaks caused them to swell. When I got to the store I asked them to show me they looked fine but one of the guys showed me how they wouldn't fit into the socket, and that they had to use a larger socket because they were swollen. That was odd to me so I checked the tire iron in my trunk that I had used to change the tires multiple times. The lug nut fit perfectly. I then went to a different tire place and had the lug nuts examined, the other place said they were fine. I went back to discount tire, and showed them the perfect fit, and told them what the other place said, then they changed their story and said that because my lug nuts was a two piece lug nut that they always recommend changing them. Well that was another lie because I have been there several times with the same lug nuts and no one has ever said they recommend that two piece lug nuts be replaced. They did refund my money, but there is no way I could ever do business with them again. I can't trust this company. I know the economy is tough for businesses, but it is also tough for consumers. Scamming your customers is not acceptable, please be careful with this company. read more

Zero issues with this Discount Tire location. Made an appointment online to have my tires rotated. Easy peezy lemon squeezy. Plenty of time slots available. Location is super conveniently located right on Thunderbird x 83rd in Peoria. Parking lot is clean as is their entryway. Plenty of ample parking. Greeted immediately when I walked in. A few people in the waiting room, but since I had an appointment - BOOM! My truck gets pulled up and right into the garage bay. I watched them rotate my tires. My wheels remained in perfect condition. Zero issues + they made sure the tire pressure was good to go. Pricing is on par with most any other tire shop in the Valley, but Discount Tire makes it easy to do business with them. We've brought my wife's car here and our trailer here for tires. You can even order tires right on their website and have them picked up and installed right at their shop. Can't say I've ever had a bad experience at this location at all. Professional service. I arrived at my appointment on time and was seen right away. Very nice, attentive and helpful with picking the best tire for my 2010 Nissan Rogue. I needed all four tires and my wipers were not working properly. I waited I think 30 minutes. It was a Thursday early afternoon appointment and they were not busy. The sales rep said that it's their slowest time. I was offered bottled water which I declined because I had my own. I had researched prices and found if I take out a Discount Tire Credit Card I would receive a discount which I did get. Total was $1,40.00. It's been a month and all is well. I had a nail in my 2023 Hyundai tire. I called several tire dealerships at 5pm and got no help. Then I called Tom Stanage store manager at 8333 w thunderbird rd, Discount Tire. He was amazing and courteous on the phone call and gave me a time to come to the station. He stated they were busy, but he would help if I got there at a certain time before closing. You see, I was leaving the next day to go up north and then to Florida. I didn't feel comfortable driving with the nail in my tire. I have not mentioned that I also called my car dealership where I purchased the car and they recommended Discount tire, because my appointment would be impossible to connect with their schedule, they said. So there I was... deciding after my oil change that I should also get my tires rotated since there was a Discount Tire conveniently located across the street. I went inside carrying my headphones and a bottle of water to tide me over and keep me occupied while I waited for the rotation to be completed. I was expecting a 45-minute wait, at least. Happy to say: I was wrong. They completed my tire rotation and applied air to all tires within 10 minutes. 10 MINUTES. I woke up to a flat tire this morning. I got the spare on and made my appointment at my regular discount tire location. I've always used this company and I've never regretted it. And today was no different. Curtis went above and beyond to make sure my son and I left safely. Brought my Jeep in for a tire rotation and balance. While waiting I marked my tires so I could tell if they were rotated. Didn't think about it until after I left, but checked the marks when I got home. Low and behold they weren't rotated at all!!
