Then when you get a second opinion from the dealership of your car brand they will tell you the struts are perfectly fine. Then when you go back to this firestone location and ask to speak to a manager to find out who let this happen and to provide a quality teaching experience- they will deny all accountability and threaten to call the police. I had decided to charge up my neighbor's car today and as usual one of the tires needed air. It happens every year and no one can figure why. As I sat in line at Firestone to get some air a very nice young man named Daniel came to my door and told me I had a flat tire!! He had me get out of line and park on the side. He took the information on the car and told me he would have someone look at it and see if it needed repair or possibly replaced. Because my neighbor had purchased the tires there 6 years ago and purchased a repair/replacement plan, everything was free. Tyler returned the car and explained what he had done to every tire and assured me they were all fine. He was extremely nice. I was off and continued on without worry of a flat tire. I am highly impressed with not only Daniel noticing the tire before It went flat on me somewhere on the road but was extremely nice and I was treated with absolute respect. Firestone Complete Auto Care is a shell of what it used to be. This company used to stand for loyalty, hard work, and integrity back in the early 2000s. Now? It's corporate rot at its finest. They recently terminated a manager who was a customer's favorite, including myself, who dedicated nearly 30 years of his life to this company. This wasn't a lazy employee. This was someone who routinely worked 12-hour days, went more than 7 days straight without a day off, ran two firestone locations without any additional pay, had a bad head injury and still went back to work the next day, was short handed most of the past 10 years and couldn't hire anyone because firestone wanted to make more profit, causing him to work almost 65 hours a week and consistently put Firestone ahead of his own health and well-being. Whoever made this call should seriously question their intelligence and their role in leadership. It takes a remarkable level of stupidity and incompetence to look at decades of dedication and decide the best solution is termination. Any halfway capable manager would know better. Instead, someone with zero judgment and zero backbone erased nearly 30 years of loyalty with one brain-dead decision. This is the kind of thinking that destroys companies from the inside. If Firestone can discard a long-term manager this easily, don't expect them to value customers either. Companies that treat their people like this don't treat customers any better. To make matters worse, the older employee Bruce who is constantly sitting down with an unwelcoming expression is tolerated while actual leadership gets thrown away. I do not want a response from Firestone. Save the generic "we're sorry to hear that" script. I'm sure someone behind a keyboard will laugh this off before copy and pasting a fake apology anyway. Don't bother. This review isn't for you. It's for the coward(s) that made this decision and for anyone considering trusting this company with their business or their career. Firestone on 84th Ave. Peoria. My mother of 80yrs old has been a loyal customer of Firestone for years. My mother's front tire had a lump in the center of her tire . She took her car to Firestone and even tho she paid extra for Road Hazard Warrantee and the warranty on the ties says good up to 6500 miles they told her those warranty s run out after 2months and that she needs to pay $95 for a new one. She told them she couldn't afford it until the 1st. I drove down there and ask them why army they going to replace a manufactured defected tire that she had paid extra for her warranty. They told me that's only if she had a nail in it. I have taken my truck into this Firestone twice to get my oil changed. The first time I also asked to fix my front blinkers. When u left they didn't work so I brought my truck back and told them my blinkers weren't working. They said they would replace both bulbs. ....the second time I went in I asked them to rotate my tires .... They rotated them but never tightened my left front tire which ended up falling off my truck. When I took it in to a different shop they informed me my lug nuts were all loose and there wasn't any bulbs in the light socket for my blinkers. Don't ever go here. They fixed my brakes in Feb 2022 and they did a GREAT JOB...might i add this guy only charged $500. So i thought.. this is my firestone. My mother continues to go to this store and I cannot get her to stop. The latest thing that happened is just ridiculous! My mother is older, so it is helpful for things to be fully explained to her. After her day at this location, she called me to say something was wrong with her car. When I got to the house to take a look, the emergency brake was on, and she never uses it so she didn't even notice that it had been used. That was the easy part... We decided to take a ride to the store, while driving I noticed the engine was smoking. At first, I thought that oil might have dripped and was burning off, but that was not the case. When we got somewhere safe, we pulled over and I looked under the hood to see a rag that had CAUGHT ON FIRE! I called the store manager, and I was not angry at all, but all he wanted to say was that they had replaced her radiator at no charge for the radiator or the labor. Turns out they broke her radiator when she went in for service, so they only replaced it because THEY BROKE IT. I tried to tell the manager what happened, he finally listened. I informed him I was just worried about the safety of the customers, and I was told the service associates would be talked to. I'd like an apology to my mother... We were in a tight spot and this Firestone store really came through for us. We were visiting from San Diego and were scheduled to drive home on a Monday when we noticed a low tire with a screw embedded in it. We wanted to leave early Monday morning so we went to Firestone on Sunday afternoon about 1. Jim was very helpful and said that he could get our tire repaired but it might not be finished until 5 that afternoon. That was fine and we said go ahead and fix it. It turns out that the tire couldn't be repaired, the screw was too close to the sidewall so Jim said he had a few tires available that he could replace it with. We went ahead and had the tire replaced. Jim told us that since the damaged tire was fairly new if we had the road hazard warranty on it he would put it in our trunk so we could get credit for it from the place we got it in San Diego. I know we didn't have that warranty for the tire but we really appreciated Jim trying to save us some money. They replaced the tire and we were out by 3:00, very nice! Well, they never paid the bill for it and the rental car company ended up charging ME for the rental...the disgruntled customer. I received one phone call from some manager who had to leave me a message and I called him back and had to leave HIM a message...and then NOTHING. Abraham worked diligently to try and find the source of the problem...my inverter is bad and he found the possible problem after a lengthy diagnostic process. There's a Firestone 2 minutes from my house, but I decided to trek the 20 minutes to this location because they are the only ones that can get my wheel locks off. I was never given the key so it makes it terribly inconvenient at times. Anywho, I took my car in to get an oil change, have my tires and brakes checked and to get a general vehicle inspection. Once they did the inspection he came back with recommendations, one of them being my engine's air filter. Rather than just tell me it needed to be changed he had it with him to show me, which I liked, you just never know and he was definitely being honest about it. It was dirty! I could tell that my tires were bad, but apparently my brakes were left at 1-2mm (which I was told is not good). They have never been checked or serviced for the 8+ years I've had the car though, (I know, I know) so it wasn't that big of a shock to me. The guy who helped me was very thorough and explained everything to me in detail that I needed and what it would cost, etc. and the dangers or problems I could have if I didn't get it done. It was going to cost upwards of $1100 bucks for everything so I told him I wanted to sleep on it to decide what I was going to do. He didn't pressure me at all, but just informed me that I should take care of it as soon as possible so that I'm not driving an unsafe vehicle. He printed everything out for me that they were recommending as well as pricing so I could go over it. I decided that evening that I would go back in the next day or two to have the tires and brakes done. When I got there to drop my car off it was a quick and easy process and there were no sudden changes or surprises. Everything was taken care of and they didn't try to recommend anything else or up sell me. They did call me about my tire sensors because they are broken, but that's understandable. Once I got back to pick up my car it was, again, quick and easy. Everything went great and I haven't had any problems with my car. In fact, it is now easier to drive and a more smooth ride. I'm especially not fighting steering anymore because they fixed my alignment, too. The entire process was pleasant and service was great! I would definitely go back to this location. read more

This is the tire shop I usually use to get flats repaired. I took my wife's car in a couple of days ago due to a slow leak in one of the tires, and was told, as well as shown, the screw that was causing the problem was right along the tread/sidewall. I agreed with them that the tire, which only probably only had a few thousand miles of life left, was unrepairable. Since the other tires were in similar shape, I decided new tires were in order. After doing some research on my phone, I was able to find a Low Rolling Resistance (LRR) tire which got good reviews, and Firestone price matched the lowest price I could find locally. The tires, which were in stock, were mounted, balanced and installed on the car then the suspension alignment first checked, then aligned. After my decision to buy the tires, I was out the door in about 70 minutes. The service writers were friendly and the price quoted was the final price paid. When the lifetime alignment was offered and I declined, they did not to badger me. They just cheerfully told me that if I changed my mind within the next 30 days, I could add it at the quoted price by just paying the balance between the one time alignment and the lifetime alignment. The waiting room was clean and comfortable with Direct TV (with remote) available to help pass the time. The restroom was spotless. I was out the door with this transaction at $805.00 which I was comfortable with. Because of the continued good service, I went back this morning to have the 32" Mud Terrain spare tire on my Jeep Wrangler mounted on a new rim, and balanced because the old rim had been damaged in a mishap. I went over to the Peoria Cafe across the street for breakfast and by the time I returned, my spare was on the new rim, installed back on the spare tire carrier and the tire was neatly dressed using an "Armor All" type product. Total cost out the door for this rim switcharoo? $17.35. I think that is a great value! read more

I brought my car in today, had scheduled a full synthetic oil change, coolant exchange and fill, less than 3,000k after my last so I was early. Always come here and this time really disappointed. Brought in 7am-1:30pm to find out they didn't even give me what I requested a full alignment like I thought because they told me I needed bushings. Now mind you I was just there under 3k miles since the last one they did it fine and didn't try and tell this needed this but this time they refuse to do it. SMDH! I usually go to the one in Goodyear, but this one is closer to my house in Glendale! I read the reviews prior to coming, and I'm glad that I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt. The Manager informed me that they recently got an entire new staff, and it shows!!! This location was super clean and stands up to all expectations you have of a Firestone Car Care Center. The friendly, professional staff was honest about my wait time, and more importantly kind!!!! I came in with a bolt in my tire and expecting to pay for a new one only to find out it's still under warranty and I ended up getting my long overdue oil change done too. All in less than 90- mins. I didn't mind bkz they have free WiFi, a clean lobby with Cable and it was happy hour at the Mexican Restaurant across the street so I walked over and got 2 of the BEST margaritas I've ever had in AZ!!!! Update 4/20 I'm modifying my initial review and rating based on the fact that Firestone responded to my concerns and were able to have the problem with my car fixed at no additional cost to me. Kevin, the area manager reached out to me and answered all my concerns and facilitated the repairs along with the help of Mark and Robert among others. I'm appreciative of Firestone rectifying the situation and making things right with me their customer. Initial Review 4/12 Horrible experience here. Brought my BMW in for what should have been a quick oil change and a tune up. I get my car back and the blinkers, lights, and automatic windows no longer worked. Come to find out they had totally jacked up the wiring in my car. Mind you I had already paid nearly $500 for their "service". A week and a half later they could still not figure out how to fix it. Their manager Mark informed me that his hands were tied and his regional manager Kevin would not pay for a rental or for the BMW dealership to fix my car. Instead I would have to go to the dealership myself and get it fixed on my own coin. Remember I just went in for a simple oil change and tube up and this was the result. Polar opposite of the experience I've had at other Firestone's in regards to the Lifetime Alignment. I have a truck with "special needs" when it comes to alignments, and I go to great lengths to set up the settings I can dial in to make it as easy as possible for the tech to get it perfect for me. It may not be in spec per the Hunter rack, but it's what's necessary to keep 33" tires from rubbing the frame and inner fender on a Toyota truck. I've used this Firestone twice, and now I realize this is the only one I should keep using. Both visits (Jul. '15 and Jan. '16) left me with a perfectly driving truck on and off road. Most recent visit, I spoke with service advisor Gary about my alignment concerns. He assured me his tech could get it into spec, while keeping the front tires from rubbing. I picked it up, looked at the spec sheet, and breathed a sigh of relief. Perfect. Got in, backed up, no rubbing. They lose a star only because of the fact that the cast of characters today, may not be the same as 6 months from now. It was a whole different crew the last time I was in there in July, maybe they were all off, who knows. But this is a solid Firestone for me until further notice. read more

My son's 1997 Jeep died and we were worried that was the end of Wanda. Thomas the manager checked us in and was so helpful and really gave me confidence he knew what he was talking about. He explained there would be a diagnostic fee of $85 but when he called back to tell us what was wrong with the jeep he said they were able to diagnose it for $30 not the full $85! Who does that anymore in this day and age of ripping off the consumer just to get a fast buck, not this place!! They were VERY timely with the communication and getting our repairs done. Super disappointed. Came here really open minded just to be let down. Needed my AC system to be looked at, it was blowing hot air only. I dropped my car off at 10am. 2pm rolls around and I still haven't gotten a call. So I call them, and they quote me at $1600 for a new compressor. My heart sank! I came by and grabbed it so I could get a 2nd opinion. Took it to Midas in Peoria and they found that it had nothing to do with the compressor. Fixed it, had cold air blowing and walked out paying only $100. During Midas' inspection, they saw all my freon was gone (which it wasn't before Firestone). I ended up here by accident today. I'd intended to get an oil change at another shop, but the shop wasn't where Google Maps said it was. Frustrated, I went to the Firestone I drove past looking for this non-existent shop. Virginia helped me at the counter. She was quick but not rushed, friendly but not TOO friendly, didn't try to talk me into anything I didn't want. She did hook me up with a coupon I didn't have though. Dropped the car off and told her I was going back to work and would be back some time in the afternoon so no rush. About two hours later I had a voicemail that it was ready to go and I could come get it any time before 6:00. I came back a couple hours later, car was ready for me I got a good review of the work and a copy of the record. They recommended one minor maintenance thing next time I'm in, but I didn't feel like they were just trying to get more money out of me. Virginia knew exactly which car I was there for without asking and had me in and out quickly. She let me know I'd be getting a survey with my receipt email, and they'd appreciate 10 ratings and if I didn't feel they earned 10s the manager would love a call to hear why. I strongly suggest you think twice before taking your car here for service. I will tell you the story and let you decide. I am from out of town but have a small place in Peoria with a car and was planning to return to my hometown in several days. This took place before corona virus. I noticed a rumbling sound like a muffler, but it sounded like it was coming from the side of my car rather than underneath. Because I needed to get this taken care of before I returned home to undergo a non- elective surgery I took it here. They were one of the few shops open on Sundays. The manager, Mike, was friendly enough. I told him it may be my muffler. He said it was probably my rotor. I knew I would soon need rear brakes, but I thought for sure I had just had new front brakes about a year earlier. I told him to go ahead and put the brakes on. He came back and told me I needed new tires. I know the tread was a little worn but I did not think I needed them right then and there. He already had the tires off and realizing they were somewhat worn I authorized new tires. He then replaced BOTH sets of brakes and told me the rotor issue was resolved. I got in the car to drive away and there was the rumble exactly as before. $1400 in and no resolution. Clearly, neither he nor the mechanic test drove it. I immediately told him about it, and he told me to bring it back two days later which I did. He told me it was a minor issue with the rotors slipping although to be honest I did not understand the explanation and quite frankly did not buy it at all. I got in the car and there it was.....the rumble. It was loud, obvious and immediate. Again, they could not have test driven it. They took it back in for about 15 minutes and came back and told me it was fixed. Nope, it started to make the noise immediately. I told Mike and he brought the mechanic out and I insisted we go for a ride. Of course, we did not have to leave the parking lot before it started making the loud noise. "it's your muffler" he said. "Are you kidding me?" "No. its obvious". Then he jumped out of the car and ran into the shop. I had run out of time and it was time to leave to go home. I had other things on my mind. They were never really interesed in diagnosing the real problem but rather were focused on convincing me that tires and brakes would solve the issue No one made any effort to contact me to straighten it out. So, now, over $1400 into it and I still need a new muffler. Also, at some point he got me a rental car but I noticed a charge on the bill for some baffling service costing roughly about the same as the rental car. Had they accepted my original statement that it was probbly the muffler and focused on replacing it, I would have postponed the tires and/or just had one set of brakes replaced. Had they accurately diagnosed and fixed the problem I would have gone back to them for brakes and tires. But I will never go back to them. Very slippery. Very shortsighted. Not real competent for issues not involving tires and brakes. read more
