I know it's weird to be a fan of a tire chain, but someone clearly has a good handle on staff training at this company. I normally go to the one on Camelback, but this one is actually closer and has a much better parking lot. The one thing that is the same is the excellent service. All of the employees are genuinely friendly, courteous and efficient. There's no intimidation or pressure, and it's like once you've bought tires from them, they still "own" them - free balance/rotation/repairs, etc. I know most companies do that, but the drive-up air checks in particular are really great. They always encourage me to go once a month - preventative care at its cheapest and easiest! My one very strong recommendation is that unless it's an emergency, always make a reservation in advance. If you have a reservation, you're typically in and out for a service/repair within an hour. Without, you could be in for a long wait. They have free water and WiFi though! read more

This place is awesome!! I had a tire there kept going flat so unable to get in to my regular shop I thought I'd check this place out. I was immediately greeted at the door. The gentleman that helped me walked me to my car and checked each tire then educated me on tires and all wheel vehicles. They were very busy but got me in within the hour. I was able to track my car so I could go to the local restaurant or nearby stores if I wanted. But I did wait. The front area is very spacious and clean along with the restroom. Once finished my phone alerted me it was complete and at the same time the polite mechanic came out to tell me it was finished. They opened the door for me and told me there was no charge there were 2 nails in my tire but all my tires were in great shape yet!! Thank you all for such wonderful service!!! read more

These guys work hard in the middle of a Phx summer. An appointment during Covid should ensure a short wait as we attempt to shelter at home and avoid groups. Prepurchased on-line and made an appt. An hour and 45 minutes in a waiting room means that the appt is so that they can get as much walk in business as they can crammed in at the expense of their customers. 8 weeks later - a slow leak in a new tire. Made an appt and got in for an inspection. They tightened the core where there was a valve leak upon installation. **At my next stop I noticed that the logo covering the lug nuts on the wheel they fixed was missing. Turned around and went back - they had it sitting somewhere and said that the prongs inside were broken but it looks like it'll stay on. ** The jovial reception they give needs to be backed up with superior or at least adequate service. I'll try a different place next time. Update 10/30 after filling out the customer satisfaction survey, Steve the store manager called to make things right and would order a new part. read more

Best tire buying experience ever!!! My tire pressure light came on again on the way home from work. This happened a week or so ago as well so obviously I had slow leak. It was also about time to replace my tires as indicated by their treads. I pulled in around 5:50 for the free air check and they said if I wanted to replace the tires they would do it today so I didn't have to come back. I knew they closed at 6 so I was a bit surprised by this but I went for it as no one wants to be stuck in the hot AZ summer with a flat tire. By 6:00 I had paid for a new set of tires and sat down to wait and at exactly 6:13 my car was done. There was no pressure to buy anything today, just unbelievably fast and friendly service. I was driving to the gym when i heard a loud banging noise. I parked and looked and i saw a nail/screw 3 inches sticking out of the inner part of my tire. I took my car to this location that ive been to many times and they were quick to help. The tire unfortunately wasnt repairable so i had to buy 2 new back tires. I had a good experience getting four new tires here. The guy came out with me to look at my tires. Made a few suggestions after I told him about my situation. I have a leased car that needed new tires and only four months before I had to turn in. As far as I know, he didn't try to sell me tires that I didn't need. I spent roughly $350 which I felt was sufficient and better than paying $650 per my typical service place. The only thing I didn't like was the fact that they left my windows rolled down completely with all of the doors unlocked. Like...nothing was stolen, but what if?? That would be pretty rotten! Tires are not that exciting to buy. Discount Tire makes the tire buying process easy and straight forward. I frequent Discount Tire because the OEM tires on my car were approaching the end of their useful life at 35,000 miles. Discount Tire will check and adjust your tire pressure as well as repair tires (that are repairable) at no cost. As I said my tires were well worn and it was time to bite the bullet and get 4 new tires. I went to the Discount Tire web site and selected a set of tires that met my criteria "Pirelli Scorpions". The web stated it would take one day for them to come in. I placed the order, an associate called me the next day and said they were in. I made an appointment for the next day to have my steed shod. I have always been a fan of discount tire but these guys always amaze me. No longer have my last car with the tires I purchased from them but my new car tire kept loosing air. These guys found a nail in my tire and repaired at no charge! I also was happy with the COVID practices: masks required for everyone, chairs spread out, wiping of door handles every 10mins, and pulling your own car into the car bay. This particular location has proven to be just as good as the one I dealt with I was living in Illinois. It is rare that you find a place that just simply does what they say they are going to do. I had an issue with one of my Tires on my Jeep Cherokee a few months back. Since I bought the tires at Discount naturally I took it there to get the tire either fixed or replaced. Well it couldn't be fixed like I figured so it had to be replaced. Now considering the tires are 6 yrs old I figured there might be a little cost despite my lifetime warranty. You see as it turns out most manufacturers warranties run out after 6 yrs despite the fact that I have a lifetime warranty on all of my tires. Turns out that was no big deal because I only paid 22 bucks for a 169.00 tire give a take a few bucks.....THAT'S RIGHT ONLY 22 BUCKS people. The service was quick and easy and I even got the upgraded version of the tire because they don't make mine anymore....wow I was very happy to say the least. I know there are many choices out there to purchase tires....but you will be hard pressed to find anyone better than Discount Tire. One star based on recent experience. Bought my first set of tires from Discount while still in college in 1982. Have always been impressed with their products, services, and management. Picked up a piece of metal in left rear tire this week, bought car and the dismounted tire in at 9:16am, customer service rep Ryan was incredibly helpful, solution was to replace damaged tire and purchase a full size spare and rim to replace the spare. New tire needed to be sent over from another store, no problem, asked if it would be done by 2p, again, no problem. Fast forward, 430p, no call from store, called over was told tire just arrived should be done in about 45 minutes. just to be safe headed over to store at 545p, car still sitting in the lot, spare still on. 630p tire replaced, new spare. As I'm driving away I checked the on board tire pressure, 37lbs on new tire, 30lbs on existing. Get home and grab an air gauge to double check, notice they didn't even bother to put a valve cap on the new tire. Bottom line, Discount Tire always stresses tire safety and customer service ( they check depth every visit, offer free air checks, etc.) and they didn't even check the other three tires?. Still a fan of Discount Tire, will continue to use them, but will not be going back to the 32nd St & Cactus location. read more

I feel like everyone loves Discount Tire, they generally have a good reputation for fair tires and great service. I'm adding to the reviews because I feel strongly that true reviews grow better businesses. This is an absolutely unbiased and fair review. I first spoke with Devin on the phone who was super helpful and complete in answering all my questions even though I could hear how busy they were in the background. When I came 15 minutes later, they had a line or 4 or 5 people and a full waiting room, phones ringing off the hook. I watched as Devin, Paul, and the whole team working treated each person with absolute patience, respect, and actual kindness. They were moving quickly but they weren't rushing people through the process. I was actually amazed watching it all that there didn't seem to be a shred of annoyance in any of them. They stayed focused on their customer in front of them, while Paul periodically assured the waiting line that they were sorry for the wait and would be with us shortly. Paul helped me in-store and set me up with the tires I wanted. He tried to save me a few bucks by showing me a comparable, less expensive tire which I appreciated, even though I went with the tire I had pre-selected. I had a tight schedule, they had to order the tire and he let me know he would call the warehouse and then call me to find out the timing for replacement between today and tomorrow. I've heard that from other repair shops who get so busy they forget to call you back and don't until the next day, leaving you scrambling to find a time to make it in. Paul called me back in less than 20 minutes, told me my tires were in the warehouse and I set my appointment. Someone even called me a second time when my tires arrived a few hours later to ask if I would like to come in same day instead. I really appreciate their level of service. When I showed up first thing the next morning, Paul greeted me and remembered my name and face, the tires I ordered, and had me paid up and in-service in less than 5 minutes. Thank you, Paul!! And great job Discount Tire, everyone I encountered was pleasant, personable, patient, and thorough.
