We took our car in last June for an oil change and inspection and everything was normal. When we returned for the following oil change/inspection suddenly our cabin air filter was listed as "missing"? I checked and sure enough, it wasn't there. What happened to our air filter? Did the car absorb it? Did it get abducted by aliens? Did someone break into my car, disassemble the glove box, and steal my air filter and nothing else? I guess we will never know, but in the meantime I think we will try other businesses for our oil changes. read more

While I cannot comment on the work they provide, I can comment on their pricing... Had an estimate from a dealership service center which was about $3,900 out the door. Asked Greulich for a second opinion hoping that an independent shop would be less expensive than a dealership. THAT ASSUMPTION IS WRONG! Greulich came back at over $4k out the door. When I expressed my concern, I was offered to send him the dealer estimate and they would "try to beat it". How about you offer me the best price first, instead of haggling and negotiating? If you read Mike P.'s negative review below I basically had the same experience. Did an AC flush and recharge in March 25 and was told I needed a new hose. I did not replace the hose at the time of service so I was told if my AC coolant ran out within a few months I could bring my car back in and have them replace the hose and get a complimentary AC recharge. I scheduled an appointment for this morning in June 25 and the man at the front desk spent about 7 minutes searching his computer, presumably for the part he needed to replace my hose. Once he found the part he said it was expensive and that the part plus labor would be over $1000. When I originally got the flush and recharge they quoted about $800 for parts and labor, so how did the price increase to more than the original price? Was the original quote made with substandard parts and now they're searching for the most expensive parts to jack up the price? Whatever their goal was I asked for my keys back and left dissatisfied. My first visit made me feel like Greulich's was a trustworthy auto shop, but my second visit left a bad taste in my mouth and I will not be going back. read more

I was getting a simple oil change. they had to order a different filter and called to let me know. when I picked the car up he let me know there was a couple things that needed some attention. he was super helpful in letting me know what I needed to do and that he would be happy to order the parts just let him know when! Because I had such problems at a different location, Dan stepped up making sure that all my car needs were addressed. The proper transmission fluid was used and the spark plugs were replaced. We are native Arizonans and can't believe we have never been here but we will definitely be back for any automotive needs we may have. We inquired today about an appointment and they got us in today. I took my Mercedez C250 here for a check engine light. There aren't a lot of shops that service Mercedes so I was happy to find Greulich's. This is a company that cares about their customers and try hard to ensure customer satisfaction. They offered to pick up my car (I am 45 min away) and send me home on Uber and vice a versa. They were straight forward with me on repair costs and were timeline in repairing my car. I appreciated the updates while my car was at their shop. The shop is very professional unlike other shops like Huff Automotive in Chandler, they put me first instead of making me wait for something like taking a call on the phone, or making me wait in the waiting room without a timeframe of when the car will be ready and they have inventory on hand to take care of basic things like oil change. I have been coming to Greulich's Automotive for years. I found out about this place from a friend and it was close to my work, so I thought I'd check it out. I had to to get my electronic seat fixed and an oil change. I didn't have a way to get to work since I needed to leave my car there, the manager actually drove me to and from work so I can get my car fixed. Just a month ago, I needed my back light fixed and they did it for free. I also, came back for a circuit that was out and they did it for $30 when Nissan was charging me $160. I didn't have cash on me, so they said I can come and bring it to them whenever! HA! Revising my previous 5 star Gruelich review. This was my third visit and there's good news and bad news. Good news is the 35,000 mile service which entailed synthetic oil & filter change plus tire rotation, came to $70. Same service at the local Mazda dealership was $139. The bad news...They said I should get a new battery, mine was about to fail. Their cost, $225. I priced one for my 2019 CX-5 at Costco for $80. I understand that $225 is not totally out of bounds for a battery but...geez! In addition, my car has no problem whatsoever starting. The starter sounds and reacts just as strong as when I bought the car. I hedged my bet and bought the Costco battery and keep it in my trunk. I'll need it eventually right? So, just a reminder to take what they say with a grain of salt. Oh, it's May 2023 and the whole office is being fully remodeled. I would not take my car there if you need to wait for it rather than drop it off. Check the finish date first! read more

I brought my car in for AC repair 4 months ago. They charged me $522.00 to diagnose the system for leaks and fill it with coolant. Barry the manager told me that I have a 1 year warranty. About 3 weeks ago I realized that it wasn't blowing cold air any longer. So I made an appointment to bring it back. After looking at it, Barry tells me that the system has a leak that they cant find. So my option is to spend a minimum of $1300.00 dollars to repair it but he wont fill it up again if I don't. When I told him about the warranty, he said that I misunderstood. Verbal estimate to install owner provided 4 shocks and steering damper on F250 SD. Quoted $180 per hour and 2.5 hours. I told Barry at the estimate time that the truck has a camper. "We do big box trucks all the time. No problem getting it on the lift. I was also told that they will install owner provided Bilstein shocks since they are special order. It should be no issue. Upon arrival I was told we cannot do the work in that it is too big to lift. Then I was told it has to be done outside and we have to charge a little more since it has to be done outside and not on the lift. Then they said it would be $600 for labor. I said go ahead even though he, Barry stated he knew the initial bid was $460. That they could never make it charging just for labor on owner provided parts. The good. they got right to it. The mechanic was cordial. Signed in a 8am and got a call just shy of 10am. The work took less then two hours. When I returned Barry said he could cut the price down to $540. So they charged over $270 per hour labor and $40 for shop supplies. With owner provided parts. Needless to say they lost this customer in the future. Classic Bait and switch. read more

Walked into Greulich's without an appointment to get a quote on installing metal skid plates on my Tesla model 3. The gentleman who was at the front was tremendous! He asked if I had the skid plates with me and said he could do it now. With in 5 mins they had the car on the lift and 15 mins later the skid plates were installed! I brought my 2011 Lincoln MKX to Greulich's on Elliot Rd and 48th St. Sam took good care of me, advising me not to rotate my tires as there was more tread on the front tires than on the rear tires (good advice!), and performing a synthetic oil change with lube and oil filter included for only $55 including tax and everything else. That's the best price I've found in Phoenix for that job. The personnel working at Greulich's are helpful, professional and attentive to the needs of their customers. They have adjusted the tire pressure by putting air in my tires without charge on many an occasion when I just "popped" in because my tires needed air. I plan on bringing my two vehicles to Greulich's from now on because I know I can count on excellent, caring service at a very reasonable price. read more

Been bringing my old 2005 Ranger in for general service and repair to this location for years. Today I took it in for new brake pads thinking I'd heard some grinding noise indicating wear. Had a coupon for another shop and they wanted over $300 to replace my front pads and rotors. For various reasons I didn't trust them and took it to Greulich's. They took the time to do a completed brake inspection only to tell me I didn't need anything done. I watched as two of them checked it out. Feeling bad I took so much of their time I asked about an oil change while I was there. They told me by their records it was too early and sent me on my way. No charge!! This wasn't the first time they gave me an HONEST and OBJECTIVE assessment of the status of my truck. What more could you ask for!? read more

After having oil changes done here for several years by front desk staff that were wonderful, staff changed and this visit was the rudest experience of my life.
