Do not ever go to this location unless you want the worst commutation and to have to sit around for an additional 35 minutes past when they said you'd be done. Just to find out they can't complete your service due to their lack of ability to do what THEY said they would do. Then have to get a partial refund on your pre paid service and now have to find somewhere else to get it done. Or the alternative of trust that maybe in an hr they'd be available to do it. I had a wonderful experience with the Manager, Phillip Woods. But I had a very disappointing experience that resulted in an 8 hour day. After I had pricey OEM tires installed on a high performance car at a discount location that couldn't do an alignment before I drove the car 25 miles home, it was then 1:30 pm. I was advised to call the E Shea store, which did alignments. I informed that service advisor about the car's fussiness for alignments. But he said no problem and to bring it in 3 hours later. I did so but by 4:30, the alignment tech informed me that they didn't have the necessary sensors to do the alignment. So now they sent me across the street to Brake Masters. It was 5:00pm so BM closed at 6pm and couldn't to do the alignment. My only alternative was the Audi dealership. At 6:30pm Audi agreed to do a $300 alignment and I took an Uber home 25 miles away arriving at 8:30pm. Anyway, I was furious about the misinformation by Discount E. Shea. I went in 3 weeks later, after recovering from the Super Flu, and spoke with Phillip Woods. He practically immediately sought to reimburse me for my expense at Audi and the Uber. Couldn't have been a more congenial, customer satisfaction guy. A rare thing in our current economy. Thanks again Phillip. read more

Discount tire damaged not 1.. not 2.. but 3 of my Porsche wheels when they replaced my tires. This is ridiculous. I've been coming for 20 years, brought beater cars and received better service than the service I received 10/2/2025. I honestly hoped they would take greater care of a more expensive car but I learned my lesson. Never coming back. My car got a flat tire nearby on the way to dinner. We came to this location to drop off my car and get the flat changed tomorrow because they were 25minutes past closing time. Tyler and Bill came right up to us and offered to help us. Bills words were, "If my family was stranded I would want someone to help them." Sometimes the goodness and generosity of people fills you with hope and love when you need it most. Our family has gone through the worst time the past two months and these two gentlemen showed kindness out of their good hearts not knowing just how much we needed this help. I've used other locations of discount tire many times, I just so happened to get a flat at 6:30pm on a Friday night, I happened to see this location and didn't know they closed at 6:00pm, but they said "don't worry we can still help you" The spike I ran over on the highway was too large to repair but they switched to the spare, and set me up to get a new tire shipped in next day, called me at 8:30am Saturday and they switched out the spare with the new tire. They went above and beyond, after hours, the whole team is like a pit crew. Thank you Deonne, and team! Y'all are great. read more

So I set a 9 am appointment and to be fair I was 18 minutes late however the self check in is broken so you stand in line another 15 minutes then they try to tack on a certificate that is unnecessary to have the tire warranty - then they do not start my service u til 12:44 pm for a 9 am reservation. Next time is is Big O tires this was a terrible experience - why make an appointment if it doesn't matter and the upsells are padded the tires have life time warrenty but they convince you to get another one on top of it. My car was finally ready at 1:20 a 9 AM appointment and I get my car at 1:20. I now will have to work until 9 o'clock at night to make up for the time that I did not plan on and I will tell you as another business owner to business owner. I would wanna know that when somebody comes in for an appointment. They are literally treated the last in line. Walk-ins got their car done before I did as a business owner to another business. I came to this location for an air pressure check while heading back from Paradise Valley mall area. My low pressure light came on in my Tesla Model 3. I was helped by a friendly attendant that did his routine check on potential punctures, tread life and pressures. It was relayed to me my tread life was at 4/32 in the front two tires and two rears at 2/32. I was slightly shocked they were that low because the 4 tires have roughly 11k miles on them. But it's an EV I understand. This obviously prompted him to suggest a replacement of the 4 tires. I opt for a call to schedule an appointment to get my 4 tires replaced. The morning of I end up having to reschedule for another location closer to my home last minute. I arrive at the other location at the time for my appointment and get checked in with the staff. They do the inspection of my tires and relay to me the front tires are at 6/32 and rear tires at 4/32. I state to them I was told they were much lower prompting me to book an appointment here and order tires in a timely manner. Opted to go for two new tire for the rears at 4/32 and through the 6/32 tires on the rear. The experience felt slimy and deceiving like I was being lied to help the store hit their Q4 sales numbers. I'll keep my business at the Frank Lloyd's Wright Location. That's for airing up my tires! read more

On Monday, 11/17, I was driving West on Shea heading to 70th and my dashboard had a warning light that indicated my RR tire was low and it needed air, I live East of Gold Canyon and was afraid to be driving back with a low tire; I was able to do a U turn and pull into Discount tire. My hero's name is Jordon who working out in the bays. He had me pull in, he checked all my tires and found they were all low, he added air to all of them to the bring them to the correct PSI. When I asked he how much I owed for fixing my issue and he said, absolutely nothing! As it is a courtesy, a pleasure and part of their job to ensure their customers are absolutely satisfied. I just want to give my highest recommendation and kudos to JORDON for coming to my rescue and fixing my problem so that I could drive the hour back home with fear of a blowout. Had a great experience at Discount Tire a few weeks ago. I chose to return to this location due a previous interaction with them. A couple months ago I was in the area having lunch with a friend. When I came out the low tire warning was on in the car and one of the tires had lost 1/3 of it's pressure. Luckily Discount Tire was just a couple blocks away. In not time flat they had the tire plugged and did it for free! That's right, free. I knew the day was coming that I'd need to replaced the tires on my car and Discount Tire was at the top of the list of places to get a price. I did shop around a bit, found a little bit lower price and they matched it! They have a very easy setup on their website to request the price match and I received a response in under an hour. I recommend making an appointment if at all possible. Luckily I'd done my research on the tires I wanted, called to check inventory and scheduled ahead of time. My install took less than 90 minutes on the day of my appointment, but I heard them quoting walk-ins upwards of two hours. read more

I've used this location [and its predecessor around the corner] for many years - many vehicles, including a one ton dually. but i can no longer recommend them for any moderately challenging work [i will have to find another location for my next set of tires - even my "normal" cars - as i do not want to get into another argument with arrogant staff]. they simply could not handle a 3500 Sprinter dually... and the installer was unable to admit it. i should have known something was wrong when he argued with me @ installation about the tire pressure i had been using. the second clue was when i found the front ties were not balanced [and had to visit Discount Flagstaff to get it fixed]. then i discovered that the valve stems had been messed with and i could not access two of them with a gauge. still thinking it was just one installer, i came back to this store. the manager said he'd personally take care of it. a couple hours later the installer told me "all fixed" - that Flagstaff had messed up the balance! ... that the stems were not changed that's "just they way they are"... i guess he thought i was senile and would simply leave after he "educated" me on duallys [which i first used before he was born]. i didn't. the manager was unavailable - but Preston saw my plight and very kindly told me of few locations that deal with more duallys. i went to Carefree Highway - where Cody was very responsive and now have a set of tire i can count on. read more

I've been a longtime customer of Discount Tire, but had not visited this location on Scottsdale Road and Shea. I will never return to that store! Customer service was unacceptable and when I voiced my concern, they acted as if they didn't care. After spending over $1200 in the store, you would think they could call me when my car was finished and answer my questions. read more

Today I came in because my (nitrogen) tires were low/ had a hole and was greeting before the store opened by manager Bill. He kindly educated me that nitrogen tires were pretty much a marketing ploy and not special at all. He offered to patch it up for free. This was really refreshing compared to my experience at the siloed company Big O where at most locations they have not taken the time to educate me on any of the services they have rendered. The service was good. I had four new tires installed and they kept me informed via text the progress of the replacement status while I waited in the lobby. My contention is they charged me $152 for a "tire certificate" without telling me. I didn't see this charge until I looked at my receipt later. This is an optional charge and I'm sure the sales person gets a commission. The certificate is for a tire failure not covered under the manufacturer's warranty. In 45 years of driving I've never had a tire fail. I thought it was a sneaky way of getting a money grab from me. The irony is while I went back to get a refund for the certificate I saw a framed placard on the wall that states how they value integrity. What they did to me was the opposite of integrity. read more

Who doesn't love the Discount Tire for their excellent services? I had a flat tire nearby and after changing to my spare I came here at 5:55pm on Friday and they took me in. When I called them before heading over here, they assured me as long as I get myself in here before 6pm, they will take me in. Check I was easy. Use one of two touch panels they have near the entrance and wait to be called. They offer free WiFi and ice cold water while you wait. Comfortable chair and some counter space if you bring your laptop to work. Waiting here seemed very short. Since I purchased some sort of certificate when I purchased the previous sets at another discount tire location, replacing tires costed me a lot less. Highly recommend here or any other Discount Tire locations in the Valley. read more

For starters, I always love coming to this location, regardless on my experience, but today was amazing! I had Hector help me today and his supervisor with the piercing blue eyes (I'm sorry I don't remember his name!). Not only were they both super helpful and very willing to inform me about my car. I don't usually write bad reviews but this time I really got screwed over by this location. This was conveniently the closest tire shop to my job and I had a flat tire. They inspected it and went ahead with patching up my tire. No problems at all and I went home. I started hearing a noise from the side where they patched up my tire right after I took it there. When I finally got the idea to check the tire they worked on, I noticed what is shown in the photo. The employee working on my car did not screw it on correctly or tight enough, causing these bolts to hit against the metal every time i drove and causing the awful noise. Cost me money that I don't have to replace, all because I trusted this location to patch up my tire. I am not happy that a quick fix turned into a cost to fix what they messed up. read more
