After work yesterday...did a quick walk-around, jumped in the Jeep , rolled down the windows, buckled up and pulled out of my spot and drove about 2 feet when I heard the POP! A bolt went through my front left tire. Chris came to my rescue, got me on my spare and this morning I'm here to see if it can be patched. Was just told I'm all good!! I've been here 15 mins!! We are unhappy with this location. We dropped the car after being told it would be an hour wait. We waited over 3 hours we called back to find out the status of our car which was it wasn't even started. They blamed the holiday weekend but we were very disappointed that they weren't able to give us an accurate time table in the first place but more than that they didn't call to mention there was such a large delay. The prices seem right and typically its an easy transaction. We are not sure if they are overwhelmed or just unorganized. read more

I was very dissatisfied with this location! I went in there cause I had a flat tire and right away they said it's not fixable without even checking it. He wanted to sell me a new tire. I left there and went down the street to Big O tires and they were ABLE to fix it without any problem. I will never use discount tire again!! read more

1 star for some rude customer service and for their lack of fine print in price match policy. I called an made an appt for a new set of tires on my car, came in and told the guy I wanted to price match the tires. I had found them $11 cheaper on a website and he says ok and looks at it and then asks me about shipping. I said what does shipping have to do with anything. He stated that their policy would have to include shipping. I said ok well can you show me where it states that and he rudely said that discount has the right to determine their policy. And still he could not show me discounts policy. I said so you aren't going to price match then and he said no. So I will take my business else where. Sad that he just let an $800 sale walk out the door because he refused to show me where it states shipping is not included in discounts price match policy. And still I am unable to find this 'fine print' on their website. read more

They patch tires for free as long as the issue isnt on the shoulder of the tire. They'll even patch your tire if you didn't buy your tires from them. They also offer warranty on all 4 of your tires on a new car for only $70 since dealerships don't offer that! Definitely going back for that warranty. Very happy with my first experience here! read more

Superb customer service! I asked for an estimate on a new set of tires; Anthony asked me what was important to me besides price (gas mileage, comfort of ride, performance, etc.) after I told him, he gave me estimates on 3 different brands. He even informed me of a rebate that one manufacturer was offering and gave me a small store discount, thus sealing the deal. This was on a Saturday at 5:15 pm; they closed at 5 pm. The next Saturday I came back to have the tires installed and I was helped by Ty who went over how to send in the rebate over the website. Total wait time was less than 45 minutes and when my car was done I noticed that the rims were clean and the tires were shiny! I expected to have to dirty fingerprints all over the rims, most impressed that they took that extra step for their customer. I am rarely treated this well as a customer anywhere and I certainly didn't expect it from a tire shop. Great job Discount! read more

Pulled in on my way home from work for a low pressure check. It was the day of the Big storm this week and I knew they would be busy. They were. And, they were all calm, in good spirits, and kept things moving. Said I was #62 today for a pressure check, crazy. I waited no more than 10 minutes.. Absolutely great service!! read more

They have fair price on tires and good service but never get the credit card they have outrageous interest charges it's a shame they tarnish their name by being linked to synchrony bank who is the most fraudulent and unjust bank. I closed my account with them and will never do business with them again as long as they use synchrony bank. read more

Fantastic service! Showed up to an appointment at 8 AM today (on 4th of July weekend no less) and the minute the doors opened, a gentleman came out and greeted every single person waiting outside to get in. There must've been 10 of us, and every person was greeted and escorted in for service immediately. I didn't catch the names of everybody who helped me today because at one point or another I was kept updated or helped by different people. But I do know that Josh was the person who took my original appointment on the phone and Ken is the person who put in my order and pricing. Josh got me the specific tires I wanted, even though they were special order and I was requesting an appointment for 2 days after calling to place the order. For my appt today, I was out of there in 22 minutes (8:22 am on my watch)! And and I noticed others were in and out as quick as well, the bays kept filling up and emptying. No one likes to get a flat, much less replace tires, but the guys at discount tires made the process a lot easier to go through. I had flat on Tuesday morning, got the car to DIscount and about an hour later I had 4 new tires (yes I needed 4 new ones with 50k on the old ones). I decided after my visit to Discount Tire this morning I really needed to write a review. I have been going to them for years, this will be my 3rd car that gets tires from them. Good prices, always very good customer service and quick service. I love that you can just drop in and they will check your air pressure. Yesterday my tire light went on for the second time in a few weeks so I dropped by a Scottsdale location near my work. Well my back tire was really low so they filled it with air and told me to watch it. I love that they do that without the pressure of selling you tires. Anyway, it went flat so this morning I went to my normal location. It was about 10 minutes until the time they open and there were 4 of us waiting. You could see they were already open up the bays and preparing. So right at 8 the door opens and all four of us are immediately helped by an associate. My associate and I go out to my car and I explain what I need. So I'm waiting thinking that someone would come tell me what's going on once they've checked it out...actually when someone came back to me around 8:25 my car was done already. They found a nail and had already fixed it....at no charge! I could understand if I had bought the tires there but I just bought this car and the tires came with the car. I always thought they had excellent customer service but this morning was a reminder why I get my tires from them. Thank you Discount Tire! read more

Great customer service! Will always plug a tire when other places tell you they won't, and it is free whether you bought the tire there or not. Had to replace a tire today- no hard sell on the more expensive tire, and Jay even got me a credit and returned the tire that needed replacing. Chris was great too! I stumbled into this tire shop by chance, when we first moved to Arizona in 2007... What a lucky find! Over the years, as we've needed to buy new tires, repair a flat from a screw, etc... we've returned to this exact same spot every time. More than once, they've done work or even replaced tires with new ones, when they had no obligation to do so, but they did, simply to ensure I had a safe and smooth ride. I have been blown away every time with the level of their customer service, and they've made a customer for life with their exceptional service and quality of work, along with fair prices. I have been a Discount Tire Customer for over 20 years. Their prices are *usually* the cheapest but they have definitely been on a major downhill slope with customer service all threw the past decade. I will not usually stop at this location or the location on Cactus and the 51 because these 2 stores have given me the most grief and most problems out of any of the other locations I've been to. It seems like these are the stores they ship their worst employees too in my opinion. I stopped here today because I was only needing an tire pressure check and when I pulled up to the line I was happy at first because this is one of the first times there wasn't a line already formed and I was first up. UNFORTUNATELY for me none of the staff seemed interested in doing there jobs other than Kelby and a man behind the desk whos name I wish I would have gotten because he deserves the credit for being friendly and helpful like Kelby was. Ken the manager was one of the employees looking at me not even acknowledging me along with a very rude young man whos shirt said Adam on it but im not entirely sure if that was even his actual name because I thought I hear another employee call him by something else. I could be mistaken but his shirt definitely said Adam. Adam was by far the worst of the bunch. He was the closest to me,stared at me never acknowledging me for 10-12 minutes and seemed to be to busty talking to other employees out of view. When I saw the manager Ken walk in front of my car I tooted my horn (lightly) and he gave me the most instant look of disgust but didn't say anything. I stuck my head out the window and told him I had been waiting awhile and asked if anyone was doing the pressure checks. Still no acknowledgement,no apology no anything but yelling out to his guys for (Some body to check this guys tires) and he marched into his office and closed the door. I was already starting to become pretty sour about this and then Adam FINALLY acknowledged me and said he would be with me soon and then walked into the back swinging his arms in an agitated muttering insults,referring to me as impatient d*ck he then dissapeered. I had just started my car to pull out to go to a much better location when Kelby stopped what he was doing and came over to help me and was super polite,quick and acting the way Discount Tire employees should. When Kelby was finished I parked my car and went inside to talk to the manager to complain. He was still in his office but the kind man tending the desk (Whos name I forgot to write down) was also pleasant like Kelby and went into the office to get Ken. When the door was opened Ken was in there putting clothes on and I heard him tell the man behind the desk to tell me he was on the phone and cant be bothered which from my own eyes and ears,was a blatant lie. The man behind the desk took my complaints and wholeheartedly apologized about my experience. Overall however in my opinion if you want to continue to keep customers then upper management will need to do alot of work to weed out these salty employees like Ken and Adam. They and their bad attitudes have no place in customer service. read more
