I always go to Discount Tire. This is my first time at this location. Very busy and came in without an appointment, due to a flat tire. I wanted to replace my tire with the exact same brand tire i have on my car, must be the same, lol They didn't have my tire in stock but was able to have it shipped for the following day. They gave me a loaner until then. That worked out just fine. To bad the waiting room smells like brand new tires, but they offer free bottles of water while you wait. They are pretty fast, move them in and move them out! Will always be back to Discount Tire. read more

I needed new tires for my Acura TL this weekend as I'll be driving the car to California soon. I called around to several local tire shops, and none of them had the right size in stock. I did some research on TireRack.com and decided on a brand and style of tire and decided to call a couple more places to see if I could find just what I wanted. I called Discount Tire. They had the exact tires I wanted in stock and could install them on the same day. Dude gave me a quote over the phone and I made an appointment. He told me they'd have me in and out in 45 minutes. When we got there for the appointment, they had the tires, they were the exact price quoted and they did get me out in 45 minutes. Can't really get much better than that! read more

I made an appointment for a simple tire repair and got there on time. I sat in the waiting room over an hour and my car wasn't even pulled in yet. I was told I wouldn't be finished for at least another hour. I specifically made the appointment so I didn't have to sit there for two hours. Definitely won't ever be going back. read more

This location provides excellent customer service. I have been here twice and both times I was in and out in less than 1 hour without an appointment. This time, I want to mention Jeffrey. He helped me, but I also watched him help many others. He saw someone getting anxious about the time and rather than wait for her to approach him; he approached her. He asked her if she was in a hurry and helped to ease her concern about it getting finished promptly. He then worked with the techs to make that happen. Later he was so patient when a deaf woman came in and had to write out her requests. He never once lost his patience explaining his responses several times in writing. A true class act. I just left what I thought was a scathing review of Discount Tire's competition, Firestone Complete Auto Care up the street. In a nutshell, FCAC wanted to sell me a 160.00+ tire (because it had a "wear ring" indicating internal damage) and wouldn't patch the slow leak because of company policy. Discount Tire sold me 4 new valve stems + wheel balance for 20 bucks. And had no idea or seen any "wear ring" The store manager Chris and his crew kept me and other customers informed as their work progressed. Discount Tire is my new go-to. Discount Tire is making a concerted effort to make a new customer into an old customer. read more

Just a question, does anyone know if they do allignments as well right after purchasing some tires and having them put on at the shop?

I have to give credit where credit is due. This DT location has never failed me. I stopped in yesterday late afternoon (6:17pm) for an air check since my TPMS indicator came on in my 2015 Prius. The tech told me they couldn't do an air check at the time. Understandable from an operational standpoint. Anyways fast forward I went to QT and added air to both rear tires. This morning the sensor is still on so I stopped in at the Cave Creek and Bell location. They figured out I had a nail in my left rear tire and fixed it on the spot in under 20 minutes. Where the Metro Center location has consistently dropped the ball, this location has and continues to exceed my expectations. Thank you Discount Tire. I will only use and recommend your Bell Road and Greenway/32nd locations from now on. read more

I came in one day, to get prices for 2 "black" caps for center of my wheels, for my Jeep. A super-nice attendant helped me, (I won't reveal his name), he ordered up the two caps, and I confirmed with him, that they were black. He was very confident and assured me, yes, they'll be black. After going in, to pick up the two caps, only to find that the order was for chrome (ooops!!), I got to re-order these caps in black, after *razzing* said clerk. :) They (Discount Tire) let me order as many as I needed (4, with an extra one for the spare tire), and did not charge me anything above what I had already paid for the first two caps. I am so grateful I went to Discount Tire. First I was greeted by Jacob Childers (his name is on my receipt). He was friendly and made me feel welcome. He quickly found my order for my four new tires and told me it would only take 15-30 min. They were done in an efficient 20 mins. (I love my new tires! My car rides much quieter now.) As I was waiting I could see that even at 8am the employees seemed happy to be at work. Everyone seemed pretty enthusiastic. It just felt like a happy store. Jeff was also very kind. As I was waiting I heard him help other clients with a giant smile on his face. He seems like a very happy man. You could tell the clients felt valued. I have used Discount Tire for years. I always get all the warranties on my tires because they tell me that if they go flat for any reason they will replace them. That sounds like a great deal. What they forget to mention, however, is that they mean they will replace them for any reason EXCEPT if the tires are out of alignment. Evidently, that is a defect with the car and not the tires. When my tire went flat today they told me I had to pay for the new ones. I didn't even get a discount. Evidently my tires were out of alignment, so I was out of luck. I have gone to Discount Tires for more than a decade. Sadly, I won't do it again. I feel as though I was lied to by them when they sold me my warranty. I'm not anything remotely resembling an expert in cars, so I don't always know that my wheels are out of alignment unless there is some obvious symptom. There weren't. Anyway, I'm out $200 for tires that, in my view, should have been replaced for free. read more

The job I have is primarily mobile, so my livelihood depends on my service vehicle getting from point a to point b throughout the day and night, and I have depended on Discount Tire to help me accomplish that mission. Wow! This place has amazing service! I had a flat and made an appointment. I drove in on my spare... they found a nail AND a razor blade in my tire and were able to FIX the tire completely!!! From start to finish, the service was excellent! Very friendly, professional, and quick! Upon checking in, I was offered water. I will always go back to THIS discount tire for all of my tire needs in the future! They really know their stuff, are ready to help in any way, and customer safety is their number 1 concern... so you know you've been taken care of when you come here. The waiting area is nice and big and clean and cool (it's summer so I'm so grateful for that)... but I didn't have to wait long... like I said, it was quick. I often go to this location for free air pressure checks. Last year, my Toyota Highlander (aka Wonder Woman) got a flat tire. I'd replaced the van's original tires, at another Discount Tire location (and bought warranties), but kept one of the original's most treaded tires, as a spare. With the new tire going flat, I was forced to use the original spare and now paranoid about driving around with no spare tire. It was incredibly hot this day, and a kind stranger helped me change my flat (chivalry isn't dead) at a gas station. I hate being "a damsel in distress" and not have what I need for emergencies. Thus, I keep my van loaded with emergency supplies: i.e., hydraulic jack, jack stands, tool kit, flares, first aid kit, etc. The stranger was surprised that I had everything he could possibly need to make the job easier. I was equally surprised that he refused to take any money. Sorry for this transgression, but since I'm originally from another state, I've found native Arizonians kinda standoffish. We joked a lot and he told me the acronym for his Fiat (Fix It Again Tony), while I shared about my other vehicle: a Ford Explorer (First One on the Road Dead or Fix Or Repair Daily). With spare on, I then drove to this location real (ladylike) fast to purchase a new spare tire. While the Salesman was more than eager to sell me a new tire, I halted him in his tracks by informing him that I already knew they wouldn't carry this particular tire in stock and was looking for a cheap replacement, from his location, as a spare. In addition, I told him that I'd like to order the new warrantied replacement tire and have it shipped to a different Discount Tire location, closest to my home. Got that? Nowadays, I often check to see if Salespeople are really listening or just trying to push a particular product on you. The Salesman smiled and nodded politely, all the while taking note of my tire. I laughed, while I set my watch, and waited for his return. Five minutes later, he came back and informed me that I was correct about the warranty tire (well duh) and that he carried other alternatives for my vehicle. OKaaay, I chose the cheapest GOOD tire as a spare. He also assured me that he'd place the order for the warranty tire and it would be shipped to my preferred location, within a day. I was back on the road, with my new spare, in about 30 minutes smiling at the whole experience. read more

I have been a life long Discount customer and I was so disappointed with my most recent trip to my local store. They broke a stud on my truck, refused to fix it and refused to pay for it to be fixed. The shop they referred me to wants $50 to $150 to fix it, are you kidding me!!!! My husband worked for Discount for years and every time there was an issue, his boss made sure it was fixed for the customer. I can honestly say I will NOT be buying my next set of tires and wheels from this company. After shopping around, Discount Tire gave me by far the best pricing on new tires I could find. I had an issue with my Lexus-branded valve caps going missing and replaced by black plastic valve caps. However, when I brought this to the attention of the manager, he handled the situation professionally and promptly. They ruined my top of the line Michelin tire with only 13k miles on it! I had a SMALL nail in my tire. These guys use a terrible PLUG and PATCH system to fix tires. If the nail is near the edge of the tire IT DOES NOT WORK!! But they tried anyhow without asking me. The tire leaks air NOT FIXABLE because of the plug they used! If it had been properly patched, my top of the line Michelin tire would still be great. They did not miss a beat..simply tried to sell me another tire. WOW! If had know how they were "fixing my tire" I would have said NO! read more

I am not sure what the purpose of making an appointment for 8:15 is if they tell you ot will be 740-45 mins before they can get you in. Isn't an appointment so you don't have to wait. I paid $500+ on new tires and it comes with free rotations. I even get emailed to remind me that they need rotated. Apparently, if you aren't "paying" the day you come in for service your appointments don't mean anything. Will not be back to this discount tire. Customer service was awful. All you are is $$ to them, once they have yours they could care less about any of their free services that come with your purchase. Very dissatisfied read more

I sent my 16 year old son here to get four new tires on his car. He had saved up his money and made this purchase on his own. I had trusted Discount Tire to help my son. They sold my son very over priced tires with a warranty. Within two months the front tires started to brake apart. He went back in to use the warranty he paid for and the manager denied his claim. Stating " the car needed a alignment and that is what caused the issue" They never told my son about getting a alignment. Discount does not do this service. The best information I can find says you must align your tires when you buy new ones. Why would a tire company not do alignments is puzzling unless the intent is to make you keep buying tires. We will never return to Discount and I strongly urge others to be aware of the scam. read more
