I would giveNO stars if I could. I have caliper covers on my Audi. I've had them for four years. I went to DT to get my tires rotated. When I was ready, I got in the car, drive 10 feet and had to stop. My car was clank-clanking. The covers were bent forward and very loose, hitting the rims. I stopped, reported to the Derrick, and he said he'd fix it. 10 min. later, he tells me that they didn't do anything to the covers to make them all loose, etc. Keep in mind, I had new tires installed months previously and a rotation done previously with NO PROBLEMS, with the same caliper covers. Derrick lectures me on the covers saying they are not made for my car, that they don't belong and they cause damage, and how I should just have them take them off. Umm.....Sir, why are you so hell bent on me taking something off MY car that YOU don't like. When I declined, he lowkey had an attitude and said "fine!" We will do "what we can." When I got in the car, same problem but louder, I had to go to work. Drove carefully. I called corporate, they told me the same thing....that the calipers don't belong on my car, etc. They were custom made for my car and have been PERFECT for 4 years. Now I can't help but to believe they messed them up on purpose. When I made it to work, I looked at my tire, the caliper had been bent forward, sliced thru, scraped all to be damned and flat out ruined. Fast forward, the manager called me and told me to bring the car back and he highly recommend that I take them off. Isn't that what they wanted all along? And they don't want to pay me for them for THEIR mistake. I'm seeking counsel. Why do I keep going back there? I think this is the last time. Just last year, they switched out my lugs for ones that don't go on mine. I pointed them out, bought the correct ones from the dealership and they DID reimburse me for those. But they've lost so many of my personalized valve caps until it's tiring. I'm just so UGH at companies like this. They SWEAR they can do no wrong. Just own up to your mistake and correct it. PLEASE?! Now I have got to come out of pocket for unnecessary BS, and go thru the changes of getting new caliper colors. read more

I had a 10:00 appointment at Discount Tire, Burlington, NC to replace my tires. At 11:00 my car was still sitting in the parking lot. I asked when it would be serviced. They said I was next but still made no effort to move my vehicle. I had an appointment elsewhere, which is why a set a 10:00 appointment at Discount Tire, so I left without being serviced. I will take my vehicle to The Tire Center in Burlington next week. An appointment is meant to be time commitment. read more

Had a flat that was irreparable and they told me that my other tires were at 5/32" depth and recommended me to replace all of my tires. Upon getting a second opinion from my dealership they told me my treads were 8/32". Apparently discount tire LIED about my tread depth to get me to buy all new tires from them. Horrible. read more

I have used this store for the past 10 years with fantastic service. Something changed. My last appointment for rotation and balance, which had typically taken 30 minutes or less with an appointment, took an hour and a half. Also one of my tires was left 5 pounds below pressure. On one of my cars, two of my tire studs had to be replaced because they were stripped out when they put the lug nuts back on. Fortunately I went to the store on university where they were quick to show me the problem and what caused it. Not hand threading the lug nuts far enough to avoid the stripping. Discount Tire has always been a great place to get tires and repairs. But I can no longer recommend Hanes Mall Blvd, and do recommend the university store. read more

Matthew at this location went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and cared for on our unexpected visit today. We had an appointment with a nearby competitor and things went awry leaving us trying to figure out what to do and we are ultimately glad it happened because we have found where we will be going from here on out. We live an hour from this location, but we will gladly make the drive for the level of welcome and service we got. Additionally they price match so I didn't end up breaking the bank by going somewhere else which was part of my worry. They have a great insurance option as well. 10/10 recommend this location. I've been to this Discount tire twice now, both times for a flat tire and both times they were excellent! They always get my car in right away, and their assessment is free! If you need a patch, they will repair for free as well! Honestly unbelievable. I had a free patch on one of my cars, and second car ended up being unsafe to patch and they were quick to get us the tire we needed by the next day. These people leave customers sitting for hours without even talking with them about the status of there vehicle. When you have an emergency leak of a valve stem you need to wait 4 hours to have it repaired. When you ask them after 2 hours why your vehicle was not next When they tell you it would be they become angered and act like you did something wrong to them. We have purchased ALL of our tires for 15 years from them with tire warranties. This will be our LAST trip to this office. So if you need new tires they treat you like royalty, but when you need a repair on said tires your treated quite poorly. I will tell everyone I know not to deal with them. New Wheels and tires needed to be Road-force balanced and they did okay but I think their Calibration was off on their Hunter Balancer. 1 1/2 ounces off on one wheel made a roaring sound around 70 MPH hauling camper for 700 miles. Also the Technician Over- Torqued a few lug nuts Breaking One and Cracked a brand new Center Hubcap. Inexperienced Technicians need training to Back-Off on the Impact Driver sometimes. Especially new wheels that require a Thin-walled Impact Socket. Now I have a broken Stud on my 2017 Chevy and a cracked hubcap. Not happy after I discovered the problems from my regular Mechanic. read more

I've never had anything but top notch customer service and quick work done anytime I've gone into a Discount Tire. Been a long time since i bought my tires anywhere else. They always appear to have the best price, and they take a lot of hassle out of the routine maintenance of your rubber. This time I was in because of a low pressure warning, my car doesn't tell you which one, and none were visibly deflated. I came in without an appointment, and they had me done within 45 minutes, nicely under the hour they quoted. The waiting room was comfortable with free wi-fi available to entertain you. Turned out I had a nail in my tire in a repairable area that had probably been there a long time. They patched it at no charge. Will be a Discount Tire customer for a long time! read more

I love discount tire for the value but also the efficiency. They have great value for tires and don't try and upsell you. The staff at the Winston location is friendly and quick to help. I tend to look on their website before coming in to make sure that my tires are in stock and see if there are any deals on them but have never had an issue with stock at this location. While getting your tires change, you can either stay or go and the waiting room is very clean with bathrooms available as well. Wouldn't go anywhere else for tires! read more

Undoubtedly the best tire purchase experience I've had. My son's car had a flat that was replaced. They had started replacing the tire within minutes and finished within 30 minutes. The staff was helpful and friendly. But best of all, the price they quoted on the phone was the price I paid--to the penny! At almost every other tire store, the quoted price grew with hidden charges to a huge increase. I went in expecting the bill to have grown but was pleasantly surprised. My tire went flat on the side of the road while taking a quick trip to drop my daughter off to her father and with it being Good Friday, majority of the places I could go to replace my tire were closed or closing early. I am very familiar with the Discount Tire in Charlotte,NC so once I seen that Winston Salem also had one, I felt at ease. A lot of the other places weren't chains and I was skeptical about visiting them anyways. When I seen their listing, I also recognized they would be closing relatively soon as well and my tow truck's ETA to me was 30-40 minutes. The Discount Tire was located 21 minutes away from where I was. I gave them a call anyways and explained my issue and they offered to wait for me if I was going to arrive shortly after business hours. How awesome is that? I was so happy that they offered to stay open for me because otherwise I would've been stuck in Winston or at least my car would've been for the night or weekend. When I arrived and stated who I was the gentlemen at the counter quickly assisted me and was very helpful and overall the process was great! It took them no time to replace my tire and get me back on the road. I am truly grateful for customer service like this because I'm sure on a Friday evening all those gentlemen were ready to clock out and. enjoy their weekend. I also received a warranty on all my tires in case something happens to them again and found out that if I am in a city that doesn't have a Discount Tire, I can sow my receipt from where I had to purchase that tire and I will get a certain amount of cash back from Discount Tire because I have my tire warranty with them. They say they can match tires but they can't match anything they will say yes we can then when you arrive they will play their up-sale and then I didn't say that game but it's ok I got my tires for way less then their price to my house with insurance and all I have to do is get them mounted and balanced for $15 a piece that would put me at about $430 fpr 2 Michelins and Discounts best price was $552 they said we can match then when I got there they have my tires I ordered and spoke to them about before I even drive up there the day before and they have them ready they know what I was quoted and I showed them my quote and I got nothing but excuses so I got a excuse for them we won't be back we found else where that values their customers and stands by their word they don't tell you to come in we'll match it and then waste a hr of your time arguing how they can't match for any reason other then you can't beat it so this "we can match" bs is straight bs and they can shove it read more

So back in November 2016 I bought a new set of "Sentry" brand tires from these folks which was the best deal they had & supposed to be a 40,000 mile tire...So today I took the Jeep up to NTB for oil change & tire rotation, they showed me the back two tires are totally worn down & shot the fronts halfway shot! So I ran it back here & explained all that to the service guy here Mason, well they credited me back all I spent on the crappy Sentry's, hooked me up with new Michillens & gave me a $100 mail-in rebate! Had to fight with them to get the price they originally quoted me. Last week I picked up a nail in a tire, took the car back in and they fixed the flat and rotated the tires, and again tried the high pressure upsell on crap I didn't need or ask for. As if that wasn't enough, I left them a neutral review and then their salesguy calls my cell while I'm at work to harass me some more. I'm done. They've lost a customer.
