Great--just plan your day around it. Bring patience, bring snacks, and if you're the thoughtful type, bring a couple books and a few magazines. They're really leaning into the whole "leisure" concept. Want to multitask while you wait? Perfect. Since they have charging stations, you can plug in, power up, and refresh your devices - bring them all, you'll have plenty of time. Time here isn't something you spend... it's something you donate. An interesting observation I've made is what seems like a pattern. On more than one occasion the reasonably priced item was unfortunately out of stock, but the comparable item that is just a little more $$ always seems to be available. Hmm... Please be careful here. I went in to have a flat fixed today. The sales man told me tires were too far gone and needed new ones. I took my keys and went to Belle Tire on Allen Road. They fixed the rim leak in no time. I asked about the wear on my tires and they said, "Come back in May, we will check them again". My front tires on my daily road warrior vehicle were almost bald, and during heavy rain on brand new 94 blacktop, it felt like I was in Doc's DeLorean. I walked into DT around noon on a very busy Friday with the driver exact brand of tire I wanted in mind. Luke Pingitore was my salesperson, and took the time to compare my tire choice against several others both in stock and special order. What I was really impressed by was the fact that he could fire through that computer program like Neo, and he was never pushy about getting me away from the tires I wanted. He said that they were available for transfer from another location, so I ordered them and paid in full. At around 3pm, just as he told me, he called and said the tires arrived. My son and I drove up and waited less than 45 minutes as they took my old tires off, buffed the back of the rims, and installed my new tires. These guys were extremely busy, but as I watched the crew through the glass, they communicated well and worked as a team on my tires and another customer's. My boy and I were sitting out under the trees on the grass when they finished the last tire, and I received a text that my car was done. We went inside, they pulled my car up, and we were on our way with a nice thank you brochure in the passenger seat with my 10-year warranty/repair info. Super easy, super fast Great job! read more

I came back to get my car after they said it was done and the job was not done properly they took my wheel and tire after I told them that I would like to keep it and they did not put a new tire on the new wheel like I asked and paid for. I went back inside and told them that they didn't do the job right so they fixed it for me but then when I got my car back the inside of the car and the steering wheel was filthy! My family uses this particular Discount Tire in Woodhaven and we will not go anywhere else. I recently moved from Brownstown to Jackson. I had a problem with a tire that I purchased at Discount that was not keeping air. I took it to Discount Jackson. The manager would not even look at it because it was out of warranty and he told me it would be a liability issue. I just wanted to know what the problem was. I was able to somehow keep air in it till I could afford a whole new set. When it came down to purchasing my new tires. I drove all the way from Jackson to come to this store in Woodhaven to have them installed. I had them on a six month same as cash payment plan from the credit card I opened the last time. Loved my new Michelin Crossclimate2 tires The story doesn't end here. My 2006 Lincoln then decided to die on me. Transmission is gone with oil leakage. I just made my 1st payment last month on these tires and the car is scrap. I called to see what they could do for me if anything. Their return policy is to their discretion. THEY ARE GOING TO TAKE THESE TIRES BACK!!!! I'm soooo grateful beyond belief. I'm amazed at this time when customer service is almost nonexistent that this group consistently do the right thing. Came here today to have a slow leak investigated on one of my 20212 Escape's tires. My Service Advisor Luke was super friendly and professional, and came outside to look at all four tires and a few other quick things to make sure my ride was okay and safe, and said it'd be a standard free repair on the tire. After a few minutes Tim came out and had found a small puncture, and informed me of about a 10 or 15 minute wait time is all to have it done! My rear wiper was also old and brittle and they replaced that with a new one for about $16, heck why not? I also noticed while I was waiting that ALL of other customers in the shop were treated with respect and professionalism without fail. A great place to get tires, repairs, alignments and balancing to make sure your car is safe for Michigan roads! I like this store have been going there for years. Was a little disappointed recently while I was there and it looked like a district manager or somebody was there. While I was in the waiting room I watched him openly discussing and teaching the upsell with the manager and techs who I actually felt bad for. This should be done in a classroom setting or anywhere else but the waiting room. I watched the manager interrupt the guy waiting on a customer and upsell that customer while the other guy looked on. That behavior by the District/Area manager was totally unprofessional. This store has a great reputation for treating their customers well. Impressive place. Called to see if I could stop by to get a tire leak repaired. They said yes, but come now! They did it in 30 minutes. The staff was very professional, friendly and knowledgable. The lobby was clean, as was the entire facility and technicians. They didn't charge me for the repair, but did the right thing to provide a wear analysis on my 40K mile tires. I would actually give less than a star if I could. I bought 5 tires less than a year ago. One spare. The 4 that are on my vehicle will not maintain air. It is suppose to be at 44 and constantly go below 30. Ruled out it was sensor issues, etc. with the dealership, which costed me time and money. I was told Tuesday by Josh that I would be in and out. I would be the VIP service. They would get me in ahead of everyone. Everyone has literally gone before me. My vehicle is still not even looked at and it has been over 2 hours. Another issue, they can never find me in their system. I mean, never. They can't explain it because it has never happened before, yet it has happened to me every time. My complaints are completely ignored. They clearly don't care because they already got my money. My time and the money I'm losing is irrelevant to them. I will gladly pay for Belle tire prices. I have bought my tires here for years. Recently I went to get a tire rotation. They told me they normally don't put the better tires on the front. It could cause you to spin in water. I told them i wasnt concerned i want the good tires in thr front where i am brakeing at. Again someone came out and said they normally didnt do that. I told them I had bought my last three sets of tires here and when I buy an all new set this winter it wouldn't matter. So a couple weeks later I am doing a brake job and one of my studs is broke off. On top of that the stud next to it didn't have a lug put on. Being female and not a car person, I know very little about tires except that they need air and you have to maintain them. I had trouble with a slow leak in one of my tires for over a year. My usual treatment was to just put air in it once a month or so when the idiot light came on (I honestly had no idea one could get a tire plugged, don't judge me! =] ). I finally got tired of this and took it to Discount Tire on a whim. They plugged it (at no charge) and since then, no problems and no more air runs for me. Yay! A few months ago, I picked up something sharp in one of my tires and back to Discount I went. This time, I couldn't get it plugged because of where it was, so I got a nice deal on a new tire and for a few bucks more got a warranty on my existing tires, too. This past weekend, my husband (who is also not a car person) got a flat tire at work. Well, you know where I told him to go! The staff there is friendly, personable, and don't treat you with eye-rolling sarcasm if you happen to be female. The waiting area is large, clean and well-maintained so you can wait in relative comfort (and there is a Wendy's next door if you are so inclined). They are always busy but the gentlemen in the garage are very quick, so you should be back on your way in no time. They only do one thing, but they do it exquisitely well. I'm very grateful to this discount tire location! Over the years, they have always made sure I was safe out on the road. Today's experience wasn't any different. Although I'm still sometimes in this area, I recently moved down to Toledo. I've had a rental care the past two months and have been having some issues. I was on Allen road when I hit a nail and my tire went completely flat. I called enterprise and told them I had the car at discount. They told me I had to take my care to a belle tire or firestone. When I explained the situation to Tony, he still wanted to take a look at it. He told me he would gladly try and put enough air in it to get me down the street. The experience I had at Belle tire did not come close to the level of customer service this location brings to its customers. I couldn't recommend Discount Tire unless you've absolutely no choice. My 2007 Cayman S needed new tires, the TPMS sensors were also acting up indicating that they also needed replacing, good timing as the tires need to be separated from the rim to install the sensors. A better store wouldn't even charge for the service beyond the cost of the sensors or batteries if you were purchasing new tires. So I pick up my car and mention to the 'tech' that the TPMS warning light is still on, his response is that I have to take the car to the PORSCHE DEALERSHIP to have them address the issue. Did a little more research and discovered the problem was actually the sensors needing replacement-no battery to change-and that installing them was about as technical as changing a valve stem, the sort of thing tire retailers do regularly, right? Naturally they wanted to charge me to install the sensors I purchased, I told them to get stuffed and took the car to Belle Tire. Caveat emptor, will never do business with these clowns again. read more
