I recently stayed one night at this hotel and it was a 5 star experience…read more.. While it's closer to the airport than Denver proper, it makes it easy to get to for folks coming in for conferences like myself. The resort offers a beautiful lobby, several restaurants, a full bar, a grab and go cafe and onsite Starbucks, a gift store, a beautiful indoor pool, a lazy river / outdoor pool, a basketball court, tennis courts that are taped up so you can play pickleball, bikes to be rented, a gorgeous fitness room, and much more. The room offers all of the amenities you'd expect and I slept well that night also. I did play a little pickleball during some downtime and I took a morning yoga class as well. I've been to the Gaylord Orlando, which is also a fabulous property. I would absolutely return!

I recently stayed at the Gaylord Rockies Resort for a tradeshow event and overall really enjoyed…read morethe stay. I loved the aesthetics of this hotel, the lobby is beautiful! My room was clean and the beds were super comfortable. While I wish it was closer to Denver, it was nice that they had so many options and amenities right at the hotel. I was surprised they didn't have an airport shuttle, but they do have a shuttle to the light rail. I think for a trade show or conference it is the perfect hotel. If my son was there he also would have loved the small indoor water park and outdoor lazy river!

Pirate's Cove is a cute water park - it's small, but still packs a lot of fun into a small area…read more They have a big pool (with a diving board, shorter water slide, general wading area), a pirates themed kids area, a lazy river, and 3 large water slides. There were lots of lifeguards at each pool that all looked attentive. We rented one of the luxury loungers and it was a great addition to the day. The loungers were spacious, offered shade, and had comfier loungers than the ones offered first come, first serve. When we arrived around 10:45am on a weekday almost all of the first come, first serve chairs were taken, so we were happy we had reserved ones. There are also cabanas to rent. What knocks a star off for this review is how crowded it was. It's definitely expected that there'll be a lot of people in summer when school's out, but there were a ton of people crammed into the pools and lazy river.

Pretty fancy for a public pool! Is it a public pool or a water park? Haha…read moreOne thing I do want to note is how great the lifeguards are here. They are very attentive and also friendly. They offer life vests if your kiddo needs it. We arrived 30 mins after opening and still found chairs available. Some of the treats there are cash only but there is an ATM available. 3 main areas: pool with a slide and diving board, kiddie area with a splash pad and a sand bar nearby, lazy river where the 3 big slides are. Nice place to take my 6 year old without breaking the bank and staying for only a couple hours.

My girls had a lot of fun. It was clean and well maintained and really affordable…read more Water park/pool area was packed because it was spring break, which wasn't their fault, except that "lazy river" (super small) wasn't supervised well and had way way too many people in it. I would only recommend regulated crowds more, that's why I gave it 4 instead of 5.

Why did I pay $23 to swim in a freezing cold pool crammed full of unsupervised children?! Literally…read morethe worst experience I've had at ANY rec center (and I've been to pretty much all of them within an hour radius). I brought my daughter to swim and we stayed about 30 min. The only area where she could *actually* swim had a giant fan blowing down from the ceiling...we were both shivering within 10 minutes. The pool area looks massive, but the actual space for a kid to swim is tiny. SO much wasted space. The playground are is great for toddlers, but beyond that it's a huge disappointment. Why is there a huge fan blowing down onto the pool on a cold, rainy day?? The pool water temps were miserably cold which means the hot tubs were overrun with people who were camped out in them. We couldn't even dip a toe in the hot tub because they were 'full'. There were also crowds of completely unsupervised kids everywhere we turned. The whole 'adult supervision for kids under 10' is an absolute JOKE. After being pushed, kicked, shoved, jumped on for 30 minutes, we cut our losses and left. Will absolutely not be back.

This was a great place to get in a water workout in a warm water pool, which is our favorite…read more We came here to use the pool. They have a lap pool and they also have a warmer pool that includes a lazy river and a couple of lap lanes, along with the children's play area. We were there on a weekday afternoon well swim lessons were going on, but had plenty of space to use one lap lane and the lazy river. They have a set of steps to enter by the lazy river and they have a chairlift that enters into one of the lanes. There's also a hot tub that has steps with a rail to get in. In the family locker room there are two accessible changing rooms with a bathroom and shower, including a shower bench and adjustable showerhead. They have an automatic door opener, which is phenomenal, however, the lock is up pretty high, which makes it less accessible for wheelchair users, and short people. there are two other changing rooms in the family locker space that don't have the automatic button, adjustable showerhead, or shower bench, or grab bars on the toilet, but are still fairly large and have space for a wheelchair user There was plenty of accessible parking and automatic doors to get into the building. The space exiting was pretty tight due to how they have the chairs arranged, somebody with a larger wheelchair may have to exit through the entry lane. We also used the steam room, there was no automatic door, but the door wasn't terribly heavy. We've been to lots of rec centers in the Denver Metro area, and this is definitely one of the most accessible
