We've been to the Discovery Children's Museum several times now, starting when my son was about 9 months old and continuing through now that he's 2 years old. Overall, it's a really fantastic space for kids, especially toddlers and up. When my son was younger, we were a bit hesitant to go because there isn't a ton for babies to do. There is a small baby section on the first level, which is nice to have, but it's fairly limited. With so many levels in the museum, it can be hard to juggle a toddler and a baby at the same time, especially if both want to explore different things. That said, the museum is best as kids get older. There are several levels, each packed with different activities, and every time we visit we discover something new and interesting. One of the coolest features is the multi-level play gym that climbs all the way up the stairs to the top section, with multiple paths, climbing elements, and interactive components throughout. There's a toddler town, a stage, and areas dedicated to science, writing, art, and music. It really covers so many bases. There are also lots of imaginative play spaces, like a pretend dentist and doctor's office, a football field, a car repair shop, and more. The variety keeps kids engaged for a long time. If you go, pro tip is to do water world last because the kids will get wet. Bring a change of clothes so they aren't all wet going home. They also offer well-priced memberships, which I highly recommend, especially for locals or for families who host visiting friends and relatives. It's a great spot for kids of almost all ages. I'm giving it four stars because I'd love to see more options for babies and younger kids, but overall it's a wonderful museum that we'll definitely keep coming back to.

Requested info on membership purchase and was pleased to find out that our tickets purchased that day could go towards a membership! The kids had so much fun and it was very inexpensive! Will definitely be back for another fun visit!

We need to get lost ? We need to get lost so that we can find ourselves! Let's go in and discover what we have lost. Here in Vegas this is the "hot" spot to be . Let's come and discover what it means to be you and what makes things interesting. The museum is open to the public and has three levels of fun. Make sure and don't blink you will miss something. Primarily this is for the small individuals interested in discovering and exploring, but at each step mama and daddy are going to have fun too . Get your hands dirty and let's go have some fun. It's three levels of pleasure and excitement. They offer so much to do and inspire here. My favorite area is the dress up section. What did you want to be when you grew up. Let's go to space and get some new ideas! Sing a song and inspire others. Be a great leader and change the world. Let's play together. The staff at each station and all along the way is always supportive and immersive. You can tell the individuals love their jobs. They even smile and interact with the people. It's truly amazing. Ok the third level is where we are going to break down the barriers and learn something. What does that look like under a microscope? You might be surprised! Let's make something together . Togetherness is impossible, got you ! It's totally possible! Because one needs to care and get the littles inspired . Knowing is the way . Keep your mind focused and it will benefit you . Let's go play !

What a spectacular event! I went with a friend and we walked and ate so much it was great that we parked far to walk off everything we ate. We encountered a little gem inside, a how to make candle class. The oil tasting was memorable as were the vegan options. The ice cream was amazing. I am looking forward to going to the actual business and having a paid meal.

I was here on 9/25 with a homeschool group and due to that, the entry prices were lowered for the field trip that was coordinated. I haven't come here often only because the prices are a bit high in my opinion, especially when parents/adults have to pay so much more and it's kind of a given we have to enter with our children. I feel like adults should be free...I would come here much more frequently if I only had to worry about the cost for my kids. But it's always a blast here for the kids! Something to do for every age! The kids love everything that's offered for a wide range of ages and also that we can bring our own food and eat in the designated area.

I absolutely love taking my nieces to this place! Always clean Great value for the money. My nieces participated in the AI class and slime class.

Took the kids to Discovery Children's Museum and spent couple hours walking around. $15 for NV residents and $20 for non residents. The young lady helping us was very helpful and friendly. The first level had a water area, theatre area and a toddler section. Second level had a play area for the kids to play as if they were working in a bank, airport, grocery store, hospital, etc. We spent most our time in that area. Kids had fun. There was also a third level where kids can build and create things. There was also an art area. Overall kids had a blast and the different areas kept them interested and excited. For FREE parking- the garage next to the museum is convenient and you can get your ticket validated at the front counter.

This place is amazing! If you're in Vegas and want to do something fun with your kids (walking age-10) I would highly recommend it. In order to truly fully experience all there is to offer I would say you should expect to be here most of the day. There are multiple levels and dozens of things to do on each level. Not to mention the central multi level play structure! That alone will keep kids busy for hours. Only thing they're missing is a cafeteria with actual food. They have snacks like chips in the gift shop but that's all. No restaurants near by either except a Starbucks so make sure to pack lunches! I will leave you with a few tips: 1. If you have WIC or EBT your admission is deeply discounted! Show them one of those cards upon entry if you have one. 2. Check online before you go so you can see if there are any special events happening that day that you might be interested in and you can plan accordingly. 3. Parking ticket from the garage can be validated right next to the ticket desk so you don't have to pay for parking. Again, awesome spot away from the strip (and heat in the summertime) that is sure to keep little ones entertained and amazed for hours!

I think I didnt enjoy it as much because it was sooo packed for the Gabby event and we had to come at the end of the day because that was our time for the meet and greet. For the most part everything seemed clean that I could visibily see. As clean as it could be considering the amount of kids touching and moving things. I appreciate the picture with Gabby was free. We just had to pay the admission price for the museum. I think its cool that you go through the obtacles to get to the the different levels. I wasnt prepared for that though (wrong shoes). The theater room didnt have much costume choices for the kids. Im sure they were just missing because of all the kids wearing them. The water room was wild. So much water on the floor and not enough rain coats. Honestly, this museum made me appreciate my small and simple museum in my city.

The man singing and playing his guitar to toddlers and infants with too big and too hard for small children to comprehend words.
    MC R.

After the Toddler Story Time yesterday, it was followed by a man who sang and played his guitar regarding the subject of the Story Time, Drop - Water. He sang a song with extremely big words for toddlers and infants like condensation, precipitation and evaporation. Why make things too complicated for those younger kids to comprehend?!?! Just make things simple, easy and fun for them.

A memorable privilege to attend the Discovery children's museum fundraiser. Helping children explore and expand their knowledge to build thier future by fostering curiosity through exploration and play, nurturing their creativity with hands-on activities, and building a strong sense of self-worth by celebrating their unique qualities and inner beauty like kindness and resilience, which are life lessons to keep forever.

We went to the Halloween Yelp event, and WOW -- it blew us away! From start to finish, the night was packed with fun, energy, and so many thoughtful touches that made the experience feel special. The food vendors were absolutely incredible. Every single thing we tried was delicious -- not one miss! We kept looking at each other like, "Okay... how is everything this good?" It was like a mini food festival inside the event! Best part of the overall experience! The photo ops were a huge highlight, too. There were so many cute, creative, setups. We loved stopping at each one, and the staff and photographers were super friendly and patient even with the crowds. It made for such great memories. The music and entertainment kept the energy high all night. The DJ had a great mix, and the live performers added a fun surprise element to each floor. Even though the event was packed, the museum did a great job keeping things flowing. We were able to explore every level without feeling stuck or overwhelmed. Parking and lines weren't bad at all -- as long as you arrive early. We got there ahead of time, and it made everything smooth. If anyone attends in the future, I definitely recommend showing up early to avoid long lines and to snag good parking. If I could make one suggestion for next year, it would be to add more seating and eating areas. With how amazing the food was, everyone wanted to sit and enjoy it -- but the tables filled up fast. We ended up walking around with our plates, which was fine, but a few extra tables or designated eating spots would make the experience even better :) Despite that, the overall vibe was fantastic. The staff was friendly, the setup was thoughtful, the activities were well-organized, and you could really tell how much effort went into making the night special. We left smiling, full, and already talking about how we cannot wait for next year's event. Highly, highly recommend! Shoutout to everyone involved that made it happen! Thank you so much !!

My kids absolutely love Discovery Children's Museum. Every time we go, they're fully engaged and don't want to leave. There's so much for them to explore, from hands-on exhibits to creative play areas that keep them entertained while still learning. It's one of the best places in Las Vegas to bring kids for an interactive experience. The only reason we don't go more often is because they close early and aren't open on Mondays unless there's no school. With a busy schedule, that makes it a little harder to plan around. But overall, it's always a fun and worthwhile visit, and my kids are already asking when we can go back.

Water room on first floor. Tip: use the rain jackets provided & bring a set extra set of clothes. And coke here last on your way out.

Ask the Community - Discovery Children's Museum

Thinking about beating the heat this summer by getting a membership here. Is this a good place to walk my 6 month old around in a stroller? She obviously won't do much of the activities but are there baby friendly things for her to observe?

They do have a section catered for babies/toddlers but I didn’t really go in there since my nieces and nephews are older. The museum is mainly for older kids (4 and up) imho but there’s a lot of different areas that you can hang out in.

    How much do tickets cost?

General admission is $13.50, Locals admission is $13.50 and Museums for All admission is $3.00. Admission for ages 1 and up is required. Discounts are available for things like POGO pass. Also check with the Clark County Libraries to check out a… Read more

Their website mentions a Covid questionnaire prior to entry. What questions do they ask?

I just went a couple weeks ago and I don't remember any kind of questionnaire It was probably just a poster that has the same questions you see everywhere... things like "Have you been exposed to someone with covid?" or "do you have a fever?" etc.

Do you need to be vaccinated?

No. Even though we are, they didn't ask for proof or told us we had to be.

    Are masks required?

    Yes.

Do I need to make appointment and paid before I go?

Nope you can just walk in and pay when you get there.

My son is 22 months and won't wear a mask? What is the age range for mask requirements?

2 years and up have to wear a mask

Do we need to purchase tickets before going? Or can we pay in person?

    We paid in person.

What is typically the least busiest day?

During the summer, it can get pretty busy every day. Before Covid, many summer camps would come and you never knew what day they would come. During the school year if you get there right when it opens, it's less busy, unless there are field trips… Read more

I bought tickets off Groupon. How do I make a reservation without purchasing tickets on your website?

Good Morning Melissa. Thank you for your interest in DISCOVERY Children's Museum. We look forward to seeing you at the Museum. For Groupon purchases, you do not need to reserve your tickets online. Just come in and show your code at the front… Read more

Can i purchase tickets at the door?

If they are not booked for the day. It is best to reserve your date/time in advance.

Would an 11 month old who can walk have fun here?

We have a grandchild who just turned 11 months. We've been to the CDM with the older grandkids several times, ages 5 and up. But under a year old, it would be hard to hold their attention. I'd wait a couple years.

    Can you bring snacks?

Hi Lisha, You can most certainly bring snacks and eat them in the designated area with chairs and… Read more

Our kids are 10, 9, 8, 6, and 4. Is there something here for everyone of our kiddos?

Yes! Great for kids 1 to 100 lol

If you have a Discovery Museum membership in California, will it be valid entrance (or at least discounted price) for this LV Museum?

As long as your membership in CA is part of the ACM or ACTC you will get half off admission in Vegas. Some reciprocal agreements allow you free admission you'd have to check your site.

How much time should we plan to spend here?

Families typically spend 2-4 hours with us!

Is the 3$ admission have to be from Nevada's EBT (or WIC) to get the price, or can other states WIC get the discount as well?

    Other states as well.

Can we bring in children's lunches for our two grandkids?

Yes you can bring food they have an area to eat in

Hi we are the membership. But we need go back to our country. Is the member charged every year ? Do I need cancel?

The membership is not automatically renewed.

Do you think a 15 month old (walking) would enjoy this?

Yes. There is a toddler place and also a water area. Depending where you go, there are special exhibits upstairs that your child may like.

It happened to fall under the same weekend as the BTS world tour so there were a lot of BTS related artwork when we went. We got tickets online for admission at around 6:00 pm. Once we got inside there was a restroom available at the start. The staff gave us a little flyer that had a list of the artwork for us to reference. The artwork itself has a lot of similar concepts as to many TeamLabs that I've been to in Japan. Near the end was where much of the BTS artwork was at. There was also a specific room that was playing a few songs from their album at the time. This was one of my favorite rooms as I found a few songs that I liked; noteworthy that I did not listen to their album at all before coming here. Close to the end, there was also a cafe. For the ticket type we purchased, this was included in the experience. There were non-caffeinated options so that was nice. The strawberry drink was on the sweeter side. There were some light effects associated with the drinks; unfortunately they forgot to turn it on right away and it was also off center. There's also a neat little gift shop at the end. There was a lot of artwork related items and even BTS items at the time. I found a deck of cards with the artwork on it and knew I needed to grab one for a friend. American Express was accepted here. Overall, this was a really fun date experience. It took us roughly an hour to experience everything at a slower pace. I am convinced to explore the other Arte Museum locations

Also cause I am ARMY, I wish they would have more BTS integrated, like a room that had close to real life projections of their videos & photos to take pictures with. But overall, they had really cool rooms to take pictures with. The line to get in was horrendous underneath Vegas sun. There probably should have been misters or canopy's placed over the line areas. My good friend took me. She bought the added drink bonus. Which we never got because the line was horrendous.

As we entered, we were greeted warmly by the employee and checked in per our reservation (also highly recommended). After a quick safety video, we embarked on our 7 different installation journey. We absolutely loved how unique each room was! The level of immersion kept catching us by surprise. As we traversed and thought a specific installation was our favorite, we quickly had to change up our minds until deciding every installation was equally unique and in a level of its own. The worker(s) throughout the Museum were all so helpful, positive and caring. Definitely helped bring the whole experience together. This one is going on my must visit list for when in Vegas. Especially during the seasonal adjustments to the art!

You need to make reservations to avoid wait times or booked time slots, so plan accordingly. I appreciate how the rooms were curated. Definitely a unique experience. We got the VIP experience which came with a little bag of items. Not worth it! Just get a regular ticket. Customer service was friendly, professional, and organized. If you're looking for an outing outside the strip, this works. Fun for couples, families, and solo explorers. Plenty of parking There is a gift shop with fun items to purchase at the end .

There are lots of interactive exhibits, old equipment, videos, and real historical artifacts. Learning about the atomic testing era and seeing how close the tests were to Vegas was fascinating. The museum is clean, well organized, and easy to explore at your own pace. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable too. The only downside is the ticket price felt expensive -- I honestly wish they charged a little less so that everyone could afford to experience and learn from this unique museum. Still, it's a very educational and worthwhile visit if you enjoy history, science, or museums.

Amazing educational experience for the whole family!…read more My family and I visited the Atomic Museum and had such a great time! From the moment we walked in, we were impressed by how well the exhibits were set up and how much history is packed into one place. The museum does an excellent job explaining the science and history behind nuclear testing and the Manhattan Project in a way that was engaging for adults and older kids alike. We especially enjoyed seeing the historical artifacts, models, and detailed displays that brought such an important part of American history to life. The museum was clean, well organized, and easy to walk through at our own pace, and there were plenty of interesting things to see that sparked conversations among all of us. The staff were friendly and helpful, and we even spent extra time exploring the exhibits because there was so much to take in. Overall it was a fun, educational outing, and we definitely recommend it if you're looking for something a little different to do in Las Vegas. A great mix of science, history, and fascinating facts that left us all talking about what we learned long after we left!

Quick search on Yelp & Google, and knew this was gonna be THE spot. With down time finally in our favor, we stopped by on a Monday afternoon. Took the elevator up and paid at the register. I asked if cash and/ or card are accepted, but it's card only. There are complimentary lockers available before walking into the museum. Watch the quick 2 minute video and away you go. Next to every display or immersive exhibit, you can read what is happening. And why you are experiencing this special effect. It's a great flow of exhibits. And if one particular area is crowded, you can continue on exploring. And return back to the previous one. Staff is so friendly with photo opportunity suggestions. * Restrooms are located near the slot machine/ pole dance area! There are WARNING signs if you have sensitivity to flashing/ strobing lights. Some rooms can be a bit darker while throughout the museum is well lit. The optical illusion to some of the exhibits can cause dizziness. Even the graphic geometric patterns you'll see throughout.
