I then picked one up at the Crystal Lake store and found hydraulic fluid leaking in my SUV when I got home. I brought the log splitter back to the store to return or fix the problem. The service person repaired and tested the unit which seemed to be operating. When I again returned home and plugged it in, the hydraulic fluid began leaking all over the garage floor and would not operate! I'm glad I took out the insurance, because I was told that I must have done something to the log splitter! I didn't even put 1 log on it! It's time Ed's Rental spends a little of the proceeds to buy some new equipment to rent, instead of the JUNK that they are renting!!!

I was having backyard pre wedding party for my daughter, they came and got everything set up beautifully the day before, weather app showed no rain so we went with no tents.. I woke up early and went straight to phone to check weather, guess what, 80% percent rain somehow in a matter of hours, I was screwed.. At 6am I called the owner from Luna, his name is Orlando and told him.. he said not to worry, by 8:30 am, he and his crew came and took everything out, put up last minute tents and reset all the lights n tables n chairs etc and somehow got it all done just in time. He saved my day.. I don't know many companies that would do last minute set ups and Luna did and I'm grateful I chose them to begin with.. i dont normally give reviews but under the circumstances, I had to for this experience.. From the very first call to setup and subsequent pickup of the tent, chairs, linens, etc... after the event... Everything was flawless. Chris and his team had it all covered from start to finish. A few things to note since this was being setup in a back yard of a home... -They use barrels of water to secure the tent if spikes are out of the question. This did matter since some competitors use cement blocks that we did NOT want transported over grass for fear of "ruts". As it turns out we did not need weights so it was a moot point but again could have been an issue with competitors. -They will place the order for underground location of utilities (Julie). We jumped the gun and placed the order with JULIE ourselves, but this is part of their standard operating procedure when needed. All equipment was clean and in perfect condition, delivered. and picked up on time. All instructions communicated clearly and concisely. This company is run professionally by good people who really do care about their customers and their guests. Highly recommend heartland. You will not be disappointed.

First off, the lack of professionalism by this lady is extreme. My husband and I. Pretty much my whole family was monitoring the weather for an event I had planned for my sons birthday. The policy stated no refunds if paid in full. Got it. And goes on to say that in the event of hazardous weather conditions the even would be cancelled. Money refunded (deposit is that is ) or credit. Never did I get a call responding to my messages about the upcoming weather conditions. I even let the lady know I would leave it her decision The NIGHT before I get a message stating that the weather will be fine and the equipment would be delivered at the scheduled time before 12 noon.... Paid the remaining balance and planned to host a family event. At approximately 10:59am the next day I get a message from her number which now is an automated service , stating to shut down equipment due to DANGEROUS weather conditions. I didn't even have the equipment yet and when I called two different numbers no one answered !! I proceeded to text the number advising that I don't want the equipment delivered if I can't even turn it on ! Immediately I get a text stating that order has been canceled then proceed to get an automated message stating that I have a credit for a future event!!! This lady took the remaining balance, considered paid in full knowing that the weather would be bad and is now trying to hold me to her bogus contact. Not only that ... she was soooooo busy she couldn't even give me a 5 min phone call to resolve the crisis I was having. Claimed to be so busy with another event , proceeding to send messages stating she'd call in an hour. Never did. Yet had all the time to send emails cutting and pasting sections of the contact to fit her narrative !! Even highlighting !! Never even called till the following Monday !! Then to call her back to realize she's not even going to give me the consideration or even the courtesy to pull over and take me off speaker or even roll up the car windows. Like I said to you before !! Shame on you ! The last thing hard working families is another scammer , scamming $500 + like this lady!! Cause apparently as long as she gets her money don't matter if a bunch of first graders get blown away with a jumpy house. Disgrace !! I sought their services about 2 & 1/2 months out from a "small-moderate" size event (80) located across the street from their Gurnee location. Initially, Monia, the consultant, sent me the information I requested and as my inquiries increased so did her lack of response to me. After finally speaking with Monia's assistant, she was able to follow through with my request to view the glassware I was interested in. Monia emailed me and told me the glassware would be available for viewing on Saturday. I responded to ask if there was any time that was better for her. I, of course, did NOT receive a response (as I had become accustomed to) so when I arrived to see the glassware on Saturday as directed, Monia had absolutely NO idea where it was and spent the next 20 minutes searching for what had been placed in the cabinet in the show room. This is a testament to Monias investment in my affair as well as their level of communication with one another. When I asked Monia about the various emails I had sent without response she failed at true business acumen. She made up excuses.., she was sick, she was out of the office.., she was sorry. Really? In the end, I was sent a quote with extraneous costs that were never discussed. The old "switch and bait?" When I questioned them Monia told me that "things have changed". I attempted to appeal to the fact that I had the terms in writing from emails I had exchanged with them but I was told that "it has changed". When I asked to speak to "her boss" whom she referred to as the one making decisions, she again went down the "excuse path"..., he was not in either location, he did not have an email address or phone number AND..., drumroll please.., he was "going out of town!" The icing on the cake!!! To speak to her integrity, Monia told me that I had started the process "months ago" and that she had weddings that start planning a year or two out. Does this make sense to you? Is she saying that she CAN honor information provided by AAA TentMasters that is older than 2-3 months? But she CANNOT honor information provided within the last 60-90 days? I'm confused! I realize that AAA has been in business for a long time and I'm sure that they do well with their BIG events. However, for us little people just looking to have a small to moderate size celebration, I have to say that they CANNOT do it! Certainly Monia is in over her head and if the owner truly cares about what happened to me, I would've expected to hear back from him by now.
