I then picked one up at the Crystal Lake store and found hydraulic fluid leaking in my SUV when I got home. I brought the log splitter back to the store to return or fix the problem. The service person repaired and tested the unit which seemed to be operating. When I again returned home and plugged it in, the hydraulic fluid began leaking all over the garage floor and would not operate! I'm glad I took out the insurance, because I was told that I must have done something to the log splitter! I didn't even put 1 log on it! It's time Ed's Rental spends a little of the proceeds to buy some new equipment to rent, instead of the JUNK that they are renting!!!

Called them to inquire and book and when the lady gave me a totally different quote and wanted to charge over $100 for the insurance she hadn't responded about (5 days before event) told me I was not someone she wanted to work with because I was being argumentative and never sent her and email. I told her I wasn't arguing but I was looking at the email chain and would be happy to show it to her. Meanwhile she continued to not be helpful, raised the quote and couldn't accept the insurance issue or fix the problem. We went to another company and they solved my issue in 3 minutes.
