On a cold, wet, December day we go to meet someone at the airport and we go on time because the Sea-Tac website says the plane is on time, and the DOT traffic cams show no congestion ,so we leave only half an hour before the flight is scheduled to arrive, but of course once we get there the flight board NOW shows the plane is running 2 hours late. Well fuck me. "I'm hungry," says the teen daughter. The Dish to the rescue. The food here is good. We got ham and cheese grilled sandwiches hot from the press, fresh, not-too-sweet lemonade and big gooey cookies and tried to make the meal last for 2 hours. This is THE place to eat when you're waiting to pick someone up from the airport and don't mind trading cafeteria type seating for good, solid food. Bonus points for the guy wandering the airport dressed up in a homemade, green felt Christmas tree outfit with green tights and white tennis shoes carrying a sign that read 'Bring Back the Christmas Trees.' Let's be honest - nobody expects to eat decent food at the restaurants located in an airport - which made it all the more surprising that I discovered Dish D'Lish on a recent trip through the Seattle Airport. But seventy seven reviews couldn't ALL be wrong, could they? Not hardly. I tried the mile high turkey club sandwich and was quite pleased - fresh and tasty - FAR too good to be sold at the airport. Seriously good sandwich. The thing that I will keep dreaming about, though, is the toffee s'mores cookie. It was THAT GOOD, though quite messy-melty in all its deliciousness. I was on a schedule and had to take my food to go to eat at the gate, but the decor of the restaurant was very upscale and trendy and they had plenty of fun products displayed for purchase. I think this is one of the better choices considering what's at the airport at seatac. I tried this place for the first time because I was hungry and didn't want to go for the fish and chips or heavy italian or chinese, etc. It was quite cute and quiet. The line moved fairly quickly and I got an egg, cheese, sausage panini to go. The lady was very nice and she toasted the panini beautifully. It was delicious but SUPER heavy, not an ideal meal before a plane ride. I seriously had a mocha from Dilettante, and this sandwich at 11am and didn't want to eat until the next day. This is however good news if you're hungry and want to stay full, I was certainly not hungry anymore that entire day as the panini is deceptively large. It was around $8 for my breakfast sandwich which is much more than what I'd like to pay, but oh well you're at the airport so they can do whatever they want to you. While I didn't eat here, sadly, I had already purchased "food" in the food court area around the corner. I did come here for java, juice and bottled water. The prices were about right, being located IN the Seatac airport, but yeah, it's not all bad. Especially when the two espresso stands were packed to the gills! Staff were extra helpful, as I notified the first person behind the counter I saw that I only needed a few drinks, they first offered the freshly squeezed OJ, looks good, not bad really, pretty good actually and it's not bright fake OJ color.... Then they offered me the drip coffee, hmmmm...smells good, it's dark in color and doesn't smell burnt, I'll try some. Then after seeing all the gorgeous looking breakfast stuff I just had to pick up a yogurt w/mixed berries and granola, it wasn't bad, even tasty for something "healthy".... Had I not already purchased the crap...I mean, breakfast meal around the corner at the "Asian-ish" food-stand that had offered eggs and bacon, I wouldn't hesitate to drop ship and come to this place!! The breakfast pannini sandwiches looked fresh and man-oh-man I was drooling just looking at them, as I walked away wishing I hadn't spent $9.50 on my breakfast-barf from next door. OMG - Try the strata! I flew in and out of Seatac last month. When I landed in Seattle, I stopped at Dish D'Lish for a quick bite. I asked what was in the tall display oven behind the counter. "Strata," I was told. I ordered a veggie strata which had red peppers, artichokes, and cheese for $3.99. The rest is history. I used to think that the breakfast baked egg souffles at Panera were pretty luscious. Well, the strata is like that souffle times ten. The strata is eggy, custardy, rich, and delectable. In the 10 days that I was away, I kept thinking about how I would have another strata the second I passed through security at Seatac. And I did. It was still $3.99 and just as amazing as it was 10 days prior. Now I want to go back to Seattle just for another strata. They also have ample seating so you can put your luggage on a chair and relax for a bit, and restrooms are nearby. read more

After looking through a bunch of reviews, I decided to try this place out of all the different choices available SeaTac. Dish D'Lish is owned by local Seattle celebrity chef Kathy Casey. The restaurant looks very modern, and the music choice reminds me slightly of Starbucks but with foreign songs. It's definitely a nice place to relax with a meal in terms of comfy chairs and nice ambience. However, perhaps it was the poor choices I made in food (chicken noodle soup and cous cous salad), but I didn't feel like the food is as good as the SeaTac website touts. The cous cous salad felt a little one-note, while the soup tasted slightly sweet. Service here isn't the greatest either. The server was very short with me and very unfriendly, making me feel incredibly unwelcome. If I hadn't been so tired, I may have chosen to eat at another establishment. I'll possibly come back here next time to try the sandwiches (hopefully the servers are nicer next time), but for the time being, Dish D'Lish is rather mediocre in my book. read more

I agree with one of the reviewers below, this place would rate 3 stars if it was outside of the airport. But my, I was pleasantly surprised by this place. I didn't feel like getting anything like McDonald's at the airport and I always feel jipped by airplane food. I just wanted a decent sandwich, you know? The salads looked good, but I needed something to stay with me on my flight. I got an egg florentine panini-type thing and it was delicious! Toasted just right. Washed it down with some iced green tea. The tea was alright, very watery in my opinion. Rather pricey, but that's expected when you eat at an airport. I'd rather not shell out the same amount for Chicken McNuggets. I had Artichoke Strata & Muffuletta with one Oatmeal Cookie & Wife had Turkey Sandwich. We share the Strata that was Awesome ( must have if you are at this place ) Muffuletta was Good but not as good as the Strata. Wife Turkey Sandwich was OK. I can't believe that, with all the time I've spent flying through the Seattle airport, I've let Dish D'Lish slip past me. Don't make the same mistake, Yelpers! After sizing up my options in the main food court last week, I gave up and turned to Yelp--only to find that, just around the corner from all the red and orange signage sits a white and silver oasis that is the Double D. Because the seating is for customers only, ... you can find a place to sit! It's genius. Food is solid. Mostly sandwiches and salads, but also strata, smoothies, and tasty desserts. Snacks are perfect, especially if you're preparing for a cross-country or trans-Pacific flight. They offer fresh marinated cucumber salads, and the old-standby of veggie crudite w/ (homemade!) ranch for dipping. Airport food is never "great," but Dish D'lish makes it possible to arrive at your destination feeling energized, as opposed to bloated and sluggish. read more

We love this place...it makes me smile to see they carry tiny individual wrapped Tillamook Cheddar cheese slices, and hard-boiled eggs...I still have to try the famous parfaits, but it happens that I'm always there for breakfast so yogurt itself doesn't make it for the next 5 or 6 hours flying the friendly skies...their hot pressed sandwiches are delicious pockets of butter and stuff and STUFF that taste SO good, you don't even care you're maybe welcoming around a 1,000 calories into your already voluptuous body, or making a generous contribution for raising those pesky cholesterol levels to dangerous, dangerous, dangerous! The only downside is more a personal thing than anything else related to the place itself: eating at Dish D'Lish is always a sad thing for me and Ryan...it happens right before I fly back home to ATL...and the dude stays in Seattle. Hubby and i had some time to kill and rally needed some breakfast. He got the egg sausage and cheese sandwich while I got the egg bacon and cheese sandwich. Both were pretty good. I was happy they used a nice sharp cheddar because it gave the whole thing great flavor. I will warn you that if you plan on sitting down and staying for awhile, be prepared for the loud. It's nice to be reminded how good a place is, even if you only go once in a while. I had a frustrating travel experience, having to fly from Las Vegas through Seattle to get to Portland, but the folks at Dish D'Lish turned it around. I found it when traveling to and from Seattle on a semi-annual basis, as it was seemingly the only place in the entire airport that had fresh, healthy options. Cous-cous, salads, the turkey sandwich with cranberry... just everything delectable and clean and flavorful. This time, I had the Pacific Rim salad, some deviled eggs (those deserve applause, they're so good, and I'm a deviled egg fanatic) and one of their non-sugar drinks (one of the few I've ever had that doesn't taste fake) and grabbed it to go so I could catch my connection. On the way back, I stopped there again early in the morning and got a breakfast sandwich on some pretty spectacular bread, eggs, spinach and Swiss cheese. I lived up to the name D'Lish! And this time, my layover was a little longer, so i sat and ate it there, hopped on the wifi and got some work done. Without fail, easily the best airport meals I've had, not to mention just tasty cafe fare in general. Dish D'Lish is my 2nd favorite airport food-place and trust me I see many airports. I always pop in here for their pomegranate lemonade. I love that they make if right in front of you and seal the glass with a thin shrink plastic instead of a lid. One can grab one and not have to worry about drinking right away but run to your plane and enjoy at your leisure. The drink comes with this fat straw that is pointed at the bottom so to pierce the plastic shrink when you are ready to sip...almost exactly like a kids juice box. I hear they have delicious salads, soups, sandwiches, and pastries as well. I have tried the yogurt parfait also but it was a little over sized for me, but yet again delicious. read more

Kathy Casey's Dish D'Lish at the central marketplace is case and point where they bring airport food to another level. It's grab and go options are really great to take on the plane and while your fellow passengers are stuck eating cold and soggy sandwiches for $15 you could be enjoying your Kathy's Special that was only $9. The menu is pretty simple and straight forward. You won't be wow'd by anything there but they have a good array of items and their Kathy Favorite is my go to item. Its a simple sandwich with chicken, jam, sweet onions and more that makes you lick your fingers after but not smell up the cabin. Service is a little lackluster, but what do you expect? You're at an airport for crying out loud and the goal of many spots is to get you on your way quickly! Plus...you wouldn't want to miss your flight over a sandwich right? read more

Anyways, I ordered a small (12 oz.) Americano coffee with my meal. When I got my Americano, the cup was only HALF FILLED. When I went back to the counter to inform them of their error, the server behind the counter replied, "Do you want to add hot water?" I said, "No, I would like you to fill it up with coffee, please." This server then takes my half cup of coffee and adds hot water to it. At this point I flipped out, within of course, because I could not believe what I just saw happen! WTF!!!! I told them I wanted to fill my cup with coffee, NOT HOT WATER. Her reply was, "Hot water is what you add to coffee." At this point I was pissed and replied, "What do you think, I'm stupid?" (Meaning I know how coffee is made. I make it every single morning at home.) At this point, I realized there was no point in arguing with MORONS, so I walked back to my table to choke down this half-ass tasting Kathy's Favorite panini sandwich that I paid $9.00 for. When I looked back at them behind the counter, they had a perplexed look on there faces, as if they could not understand what they could have possibly done wrong. I had the spinach egg florentine since I wanted something not so meaty and cheesy after my meaty and cheesy food trip. It was pretty good and after dabbing some mustard, even better. And although it wasn't 10 a.m. yet, I couldn't leave Seattle without another bag of Tim's chips. That, the sandwich and a bottle of water set me back $11. This is going to be a slightly different review for me since I have not been to Dish D'Lish recently.. but rather I used to work just upstairs from it so it was a "frequent" visit for me. For airport food it's pretty ok but I would rather visit the beautiful huge windows at the Seatac foodcourt and watch the planes come and go than this little cramped but ok establishment. This 4-star rating is relative, based upon the other offerings at the airport. Dish D'Lish tends to be my go-to place for a quick bite while at Seatac Airport. The to-go couscous dish with nuts, currants and other goodies (vegetarian!) is fantastic, and a great snack to bring with you on a flight if you want a light and healthy snack (just make sure to grab a spoon or fork to take along!). The breakfast sandwiches are decent as well, and less gut bomb-y if you get less cheese (such as one slice only). They have lots of healthy offerings and the prices are equivalent to other places in the airport. read more

Before going through security and boarding my flight to shanghai, I decided to eat since I had 3 hours to go. Bad decision , ordered the turkey florentine, the turkey was extremely dry , bread tasted stale. Had the banana nut muffin, same thing, it just seemed that it was cooked 4 days ago. Maybe I ordered the wrong thing since I noticed a lot of people ordering the muffuletta. I might give this a place another try, chances are very slim. I was told that the better food options were in this gate rather than the gate my flight was leaving from. The menu is pretty simple. Panini's style sandwiches and salads both are pretty made. And there is no substitutions (BOO, I really wanted the grilled cheese with chicken). I ordered the turkey Florentine (turkey, 3 leaves of spinach, A SLICE of cheese and some spread on whole grain bread) the sandwich was barely grilled and semi soggy. The lemonade is made to order. The cashier rang me up and called my drink order to her co worker who yelled back "I'm busy!" I thought was a joke. Until I realized I just spent 10 minutes checking emails and and still no lemonade.
