I am shocked to see the 2 1/2 star overall rating here on Yelp. My wife and I were flying to St. Louis for a concert, baseball game and misc. sightseeing, and I have had Skillet on my list for some time. Finally we got here and it was tremendous. First and foremost was the friendliness and efficiency of Jessica. She knows here job well, but she is just nice, something too rare these days. I had Chicken and Waffles for the first time ever, and it far surpassed my expectations. The serving of chicken was a thigh piece that was full of flavor and very moist. No matter if your flight is on time or you're waiting for a delayed flight, Skillet delivers on both comfort and taste. Thankfully our trip thru the TSA lines went quicker than expected so we had some time to get a bite before our flight. Thankfully we came across Skillet near our gate and there was ample space to be seated quickly. The service was okay as they always seemed rushed but it might be a result of the environment being at an airport. However I felt that it didn't detract from the experience because we were seated at a table. If you have time I would recommend getting a table so that you don't get caught up in that rushed feeling at the bar seating. Table seating offered QR code ordering so you can keep at your pace if you don't want to wait for a server to help. The food was absolutely fantastic. I chose "The Scramble" and was pleasantly surprised at how delicious it was. The eggs and taters were done right and full of flavor. I only wish they had more hot sauce options for a place that serves eggs and burritos. Sriracha and Tobasco just doesn't cut it to be your only options in my opinion. My partner had the "Bacon Cheddar Breakfast Burrito" with an arugula salad. The burrito was a good but standard breakfast burrito but the salad was actually the star. I know others complain about the price but what you're getting here is more than a simple grab and go that you normally get at the airport. You won't get the standard sit down experience like at a normal restaurant so I feel like it can't be judged the same but I wasn't disappointed. Not sure why this spot gets the low reviews, but our experience was pretty great. It wasn't the *best breakfast ever* but it was darn good when we needed it most (following a four-hour jaunt). From the time we were seated to food service was maybe 10-12 minutes and Jocelyn was so friendly and welcoming. Dishes came out well-prepared and the portion sizes are beyond ample. I recommend the granola, a mixed fruit version with Greek yogurt and fresh fruit slices. Sweet, lots of whole oats, and a very satisfying breakfast. My lovely wife opted for the 'Scramble', which was a mélange of scrambled eggs, kale, & bacon atop a slab of whole wheat toast. Not sure how Skillet came upon their fried breakfast potato 'recipe' but they are FIRE. Throw in a hot cuppa Cafe Vita coffee and you have yourself a great breakfast. Pricing is airport-style, so quit yer whinin' and pony up. Seating can get a bit cramped because pretty much everyone has their luggage about them. But solo travelers can always find room at the bar & sample from a strong beer menu, wine selection, & more. It's a good spot if you have the time and opportunity while in SeaTac. read more

Today, May 24, 2025, my 3 brother in laws and I went to Skillet in SEA-TAC #737 to get some drinks while waiting for our flight. My wife called me on my phone to come back to save our seats while they got food, so I went back with my drink (not knowing that I wasn't supposed to). One of my brother in laws then called me saying that I need to bring my drink back, so I did, apologized to the waitress, then returned to our seats. The manager, Chris Young, then rudely started yelling at my brother in laws, even though we had already apologized numerous times for what happened, he poured out my drink, and threatened to call security on us. Is that how he treats his customers for a simple mistake? And after apologizing profusely? We did not get any verbal warning not to bring our drinks outside, there are no signs anywhere, and it is allowed at other airports. I don't think Chris deserves his job. He is dismissive, condescending, and completely unwilling to listen to any concerns or feedback. Rather than resolving the issue professionally, he seemed more interested in asserting authority than actually helping customers. It's incredibly frustrating to be spoken to with such disrespect, especially in a service-oriented setting. Management should be setting the tone for good service not ruining it! read more
