This dentist is a joke and a salesman he did a bad job on a crown and it broke so I said fine you need to stand behind your work , he told me no such thing in dentistry he would replace it and charge my insurance when I went in for the repair he said I think instead of replacing the broken crown we should install a post for six thousand dollars I asked him why ? we had never talked about needing a post ! I told him just fix the crown about a month or so later it broke again so I called to have it looked at on a emergency visit and the office said no one was available I could make a appointment so I went to the office and told the lady that Mr Wolf could stick his dentist practice up his ass ! and he could write me a check to have a real dentist repair his bad work ! I have been going there a while and the dentists seemed to be good. However, they told my wife she needed a crown because of an issue with metal fillings or something. Being on a fixed income I save a few dollars for emergencies and had enough to pay our portion. About 6 months later I get a bill for almost 700 dollars. I didn't understand so went to ask. They told me the insurance denied the claim and I had to pay for the whole thing. I couldn't even appeal it to the insurance because of the time-frame of the bill. The lady at the front desk acted as if it was a normal thing and no big deal, being very rude. I have to switch dentists as I cannot afford any more of Distinctive Dentals mistakes. I was told they sent all the information to the insurance: I guess it was the wrong information. I would recommend passing on this place if you cannot afford mistakes. read more

With many decades of dental care, I have never been exposed to such a bizarre and mystifying experience as I have had recently with Paul Wulff. After reviewing a plan of care that included a crown lengthening to place a new crown, agreement to do a consultation with another dentist and a meeting to discuss the timing for a new crown, we met and he simply said "I won't put in a crown." No explanation, no thoughtful expression of options, no concern for my situation. The consulting dentist said he didn't conduct a consultation but referred it to his assistant, which was received as a highly unprofessional act. I then presented the films to two additional dentists who said the situation clearly would allow for a crown. Mystifying is not a strong enough word. Obviously I have discontinued service with this practice. read more

If you have any form of anxiety when it comes to the dentist this not the best fit for you. If you prefer a friendly service you may not find this at this dentist. There are a few exceptions but it's not the entire office. The male employee at the reception is rude and unprofessional. I have been to a lot of dentists and by far this was the worst experience. I first went in for a dental emergency they did not even really listened to me or tried to help. Instead they focused on numerous x rays. They also was pushing for me to be asleep during a dental procedure but I declined. They messed up on my Insurance giving me the wrong quotes. Then they would not allow a family member to be present with me during a procedure. I ended up canceling the appt this how horrible it was. They were even rude about our requests when we were first told they would be willing to be accommodating to my request. Apparently they are happy about loosing thousands of dollars by loosing two patients. It's also not a family friendly office. And over all just not the best customer service. Most people want a dentist that they can be comfortable and where they can get the best service and treatment. I have been to dentist offices throughout Arizona, California and Maryland and this was the worst. I am however so grateful that I found a different dentist office that was happy to accommodate for my dental anxiety. read more

I went to this dentist and paid for my dental care out of my pocket. I received very good care there as long as I paid cash. I was told I needed a one year exam. I asked if they ever take veterans using the VA and I was told the do. So I requested the Phoenix VA make an appointment for me. The Phoenix VA was told by Distinctive Dental that only the Northern VA Healthcare system could be used, not the Phoenix VA Health Care System. I then canceled all future appointments and was going to write a nice review on my experiences there with my teeth. Yesterday I received Certified Letter from Aaron Wuff, D.M.D. stating a "breakdown in our doctor-patient relationship". With the prices these dentists charge I find it amazing that a dentist would take the time to write me a Certified Letter stating they will no longer treat me as a patient when I no longer planned on going there anyway. Now I would not even recommend them with a dentist with way too much time on his hands and not a very nice disposition. Something needs to be done about dental insurance and dentists prices. We have dentists in Prescott that come from Salt Lake City, Utah every week to practice here. That makes it seem like they are charging way too much for their services to me. read more

I called to make an appointment with Dr. Aaron Wulff about 3 months ahead for a cleaning. They told me they would not be able to schedule a cleaning until I had a consultation visit. I explained that I have a primary Dentist in another state and only wanted to get a basic cleaning in between my regular visits. Also, I don't have dental insurance and would be paying out of my own pocket. They asked me to have my regular dentist send a full set of recent xrays, which I did. A couple weeks before my scheduled appointment they contacted me and told me they would have to reschedule. When I went for my appointment, Dr. A. Wulff insisted that he needed to do a full 3D xray. Though I was hesitant to agree, I finally did. They then scheduled me for a cleaning about a month later. When I arrived I found they had scheduled me for a deep cleaning (scaling and root planing ) for 2 quadrants. I again told him that I only wanted the basic cleaning. He refused to do what I asked and said he would only do the full deep cleaning. I was mad as hell, but knew if I tried to make an appointment with a different dentist office it would be another 2 to 3 months. So, I gave in and allowed the hygienist to proceed. When I received the bill for the xrays and deep cleaning it ended up being over $700! And this was after I questioned one of the charges which turned out to be a "mistake". My assessment of Aaron is that he majors in over-billing and ignores patient centered care. I told them I would not be back and explained exactly why. read more

Discourteous office staff! Inept at scheduling appts. Made an appt. for cleaning over a month in advance and they called to cancel it the day before because they said needed to have dr. exam first. Placed blame on the patient for not bringing it to their attention! Also did not say anything about a credit balance on acct. Found this out by accident. Dr. Wulff may be losing patients because of the total lack of customer service with his front office. read more

Love this place! I am very picky about the dentist I go to and because of that I have not been in 5 years. I found this place when I called 1-800 Dentist to get my fiancées wisdom teeth pulled. So after his went great I then went yesterday to have all for of mine pulled. I had then put me out so that meant I had to have an IV I was net vice about it but he got it first time around! And there is no bruising around it. My mouth hurts some (as expected) but all and all if you are needing dental work you should try this place! They meet my overly high standards! read more

Poor support staff. Hand massages in a dental office? Not exciting. Billing was a mystery. Carried credit on books for months and wasn't aware of it. Was asked to leave practice by a formal letter. No phone call. It's a mystery to me. read more
