Fabulous place for ambiance & fun! The food was great & the service was wonderful. Don't hesitate to go!

I have tried and tried again to like this place. My wife and I were so excited to see this restaurant come to Sunbury, but every time we have gone we have left disappointed, whether due to poor service or poor food. Tonight was the last straw. I was served a drink that was different than what I ordered. I told them that I didn't want that drink (that I didn't order) and would like something else. The bartender (I think) came out and initially told me I had to keep it and pay for it. After an exchange, she got permission to bring me something else but reminded me that this was against protocol and that I wouldn't be able to do it again. Do what again, send back a drink that was brought to me in error?? Unbelievable, to shame me for their own mistake. I won't be returning, and I would encourage anyone to try some of the establishments in Sunbury who care about their customers. read more

Cute place but horrible service. We sat at bar area for 15 minutes before someone came over to take our drink order. We had one drink and no one asked us if we wanted anything else. Ordered appetizers and no one came to take our dinner order after 50 minutes. Asked to speak with manager to just let her know. She responded with indifference and said to enjoy the day. Will never go back and will not be recommending this place to anyone. read more

I recommended district 13 to everyone after my experience! Absolutely loved the food and the atmosphere was lovely. We ordered 2 appetizers, a bottle of wine, the Brie burger, the large cut filet and the donuts for dessert. All the food was on point! Everyone needs to try this place and they will be pleased! I left a Google review they responded to basically telling me they are sorry I feel this way, and that nothing was wrong. My complaint is the same one a lot of people have in these reviews- understaffing which creates very long waits, and then the food is expensive and not good. I would have walked out except my friend wanted brunch. We were there for an hour and a half for two plates of eggs with a side of bacon on one, and a side of fries on the other. My husband said his omelet was rubbery and the worst he has ever eaten. My friend had to ask three times for a refill on her coffee. Whoever is in charge felt that one cook and two servers were enough staff for a full house on a weekend brunch. What happens is you get staff running around like chickens with their heads cut off, but everyone is lacking although everybody working there was doing their best. I was most upset by the fact we called ahead and were told there was no wait- that was not true, and we got there very soon after my call. I do not believe the house filled up in that short a period of time. A lot of people have given District 13 truthful feedback about the issues there for a long time, and whoever is in charge does not listen. There are not a ton of restaurants on the historic Square in Sunbury so there is not a lot of competition on the Square itself, but a little bit of a drive will take you to other restaurants where they have great food. Read and believe all reviews, most especially if the same issue has been referenced again and again over a period of time. read more

$16 for a single burger and small fries is a bit much but the sweet whiskey sauce was very good on it and overall I enjoyed it.

We tried the newest restaurant in town going to their New Years Eve dinner celebration. Probably not a fair time to give a review. We enjoyed the live jazz band and the atmosphere. But it was way to warm inside, the overwhelmed staff was sweaty hot. On to the food. Our starters were, bruschetta - decent taste, good quantity, house greens(salad)- awesome taste, presentation and quality, and the rosemary lamb lollipops- excellent and beyond awesome. Dinner entrees were limited that evening. The scallops were great as were the sides. Same goes for the Lobster Wellington Beef Tenderloin but their sides were not hot. The Moroccan Spiced chicken looked burnt from the spices but was actually quite juicy. The couscous that accompanied the meal, we did not care for. Desserts all seemed homemade and very tasty. The service tonight was not very good at all. After getting waters and ordering drinks any type of refill was never offered. Also, 3 of our 4 meals were delivered together, but the 4th didn't arrive until we were almost finished. And we waited about 5 minutes for it to arrive before starting. Overall, the food was great, we are going to hope the service issue was due to the holiday and definitely give the place another try. read more

This place was horrible. Average food. Good cocktails. The help was poor!! After 1 hour and 45 minutes of waiting for food, the waitress brings food but we did not silverware to eat it with. Go to Big Walnut Grill...that place is much better! read more

This place looked cool and we were excited to finally make the trek from Blacklick. Cute place and the menu looked great but the service was awful. We never made it to the dinner portion of our meal. We sat a bar table, with empty drinks :( and the bartender/waitress never returned to take our order or refill our drinks, so after about 45 minutes, we got someone's attention to cash us out. We politely let the mgr. know why we were leaving and her response was a head nod and OK enjoy the rest of your night. Strange experience overall. read more

I've been to this restaurant twice and both times they only had one server, so it took forever to get drinks and food. My last trip was today and it will be my last. After waiting 15 minutes to order a beer and another 20 to get it...forget about the wait for my food, it was really frustrating. I felt bad for our server though because she was the only one working the entire place while the owners both sat at the bar and did NOTHING. I will not support a place like that. read more

Dinner last nite. Arrived around 5:30 just before the place got busier, so we didn't wait to be seated. Service was good and stopped a number of times to check on us. Ordered a Bloody Mary, last one they could serve because they were out of mix, she said usually a brunch drink? Ok, might be, but it was great, pickles, cheese and a piece of crispy bacon, everything is great with bacon. Dinner well I was totally confused, as the menu shown on a number of sites, even this one was why I wanted to try. Looked as though they offered a lot of variety, but the actual restaurant menu wasn't the same. Filet mignon, Maryland crab cakes, lamp pops, a not on the menu. Ordered giro sliders, ok more like giro quesadilla, dry, not enough sauce, but they did have on the side a cup of lamb juice (lamb fat), never seen that it a Greek restaurant. And chips, nothing special. Not impressed, if the menu saw what I saw online I might try again, maybe just a bad night for the chef, that can happen, but unfortunately restaurants are judged on the first time. The drink list was extensive if you're looking for a menu of lots of drink choices, there ya go. Won't be going back. read more

What a delicious surprise in Sunbury! The appetizers we shared were so delicious and different. The Lamb Lollipop were so interesting the jammie sauce on the crunchie kale and brussel sprouts that was tart but sweet. The yellow tomato bisque pared w the lobster cheese sandwich was the perfect combo. The bisque was a fresher lighter take than a red tomato bisque and was perfect w the lobster sammie. The crab cakes were all crab and no filler w a tasty sauce. The adult milk shake w lavender, vanilla ice cream and a citrus gin or vodka was a great dessert. read more

We stopped by to try District 13 for the first time on 9/5 at about 12:30pm. We figured the place would be packed as there was a Trump rally happening on the Sunbury square that day that gobs of people were attending. Turned out there were 3 empty tables on the patio so we took a seat. After setting there for 5 minutes or so I stepped inside to see if I could get someone's attention and wasn't busy inside either. Let the person in front that we were on patio and the only response was a head nod...she was doing nothing but standing there so not sure why she could only manage a head nod? Went back out and during the 10 minutes or so that we sat there the owner walked by and didn't even acknowledge us. Very odd to have this kind of service on what should have been a busy day for them. We left without anyone ever coming to our table..very odd vibe. This place is going to need to up their service game if they want to stay open. read more

Came here when visiting with me family. Our apps and drinks came out and were really good, I had a pineapple margarita and we got the Brussel sprouts and pretzels. All of which were delicious. Unfortunately it was all down hill from there. My mom ordered a burger with a side salad, the burger came out very overcooked (with cheese when ordered without), my sister and I ordered buffalo chicken wraps, there was minimal filling inside the tortilla and they were intentionally served cold - very odd and they just weren't good. My brother got the tacos, which he loved. The most depressing thing about this whole experience was that after the food was dropped off nobody came to ask how it was. It took our server a long time to come back and bring the check, he saw mine and my sisters full plates of food and didn't ask how any of the food tasted, instead brought the check, which included up charges for the side salad and fries (something he didn't mention when taking the order). After my mom mentioned it he was nice about taking it off, but it was frustrating how customer service was essentially just left to the wayside. We stopped in for a drink and appetizer. Beer prices were pretty good but disappointed with the grilled chicken tender appetizer. There were only 3 little pieces of chicken for 2 people. Flavor was good. It's nice inside bar is nice staff is too. Menu items were pricey. Probably wont go back but food items I saw looked and smelled good that others had. For sunbury a little out of my range. read more
