We were looking for somewhere to eat in EaDo and came across this place on Yelp searching for pizza. When we walked in we were confused because the building was labeled District 7 Grill - we have eaten at the Pierce location several times in the past but didn't know this one existed. My wife and I both ordered individual 12" pizzas (since we can never agree on toppings) which were perfectly sized for leaving us feeling satisfied with a box of leftovers. I ordered the ultimate pepperoni and it was fantastic - cheesy, flavorful, and generous with the pepperoni. It was a little greasy for my liking but definitely not over the top - easy to blot with napkins. I wish the dough was a little more thin and crispy but that's just my personal preference. Overall, nothing bad to say about the pizza! The taps selection was limited to four and they were out of my first two choices so that was a bit disappointing. The menu was extensive with plenty of burgers, sandwiches, salads, etc. so we'll be back to try a few others. Staff was friendly and service was prompt. read more

A definite four-star place so close to downtown and my work place which is good to have when you get tired of all the other big box places for taking a break and grabbing some grub. Can't entirely remember what I had that day but I do remember the Wifey had literally one of the best plates of chicken pasta we've ever tried having lived in Houston for a better part of 15 years. So I love craft pizza and after my time in Sicily and ATL I know when effort and fine ingredients and used. Since this is a pizzeria, I hoped they would deliver a much better product (than a chain) unfortunately they did not deliver. The menu has a good selection and the prices are on par $22 large 3-4 topping. Hmmm, that's where the similarities pause. They crust is good, tasty but the ingredients aren't substantial- it's dicey, small and scarce (see pictures) The chef salad was ok. Asked for condiments, request was ignored and delivery was lukewarm pizza (it was delivered before ETA) so cant blame the driver. Oh well, District 7 Pizzeria. read more

I had my pizza delivered from what I thought would be Yelp24 but it got rerouted to something called EatStreet. Really weird but I still got my food. I had a real hankering for some pizza and wings the night of the half marathon but because I felt like I had been hit by an 18 wheeler at the time, I decided to look for ways to have it delivered. I looked up wings delivery and this place came up on Yelp. My wings were ok and so was the pizza. I won't really go into the details of what I thought my food was like because it was not bad but because it took them exactly an hour and seven minutes for them to deliver the food from the time I placed my order that everything I received was a little less than luke warm. I don't think that it is exactly the restaurant's fault but it did leave me unsatisfied. The next morning, I microwaved the wings, and heated the pizza in the oven and surprisingly it tasted better the next day. I have generally heard good things about this place. Maybe I'll just have to go in and wine there in person ... dine, I mean dine. read more

Yup, that's how I felt when I paid fees on fees to get this lukewarm piece of rubber delivered to me. Ridiculousness #1 I get it, my fault for being the last order of the day, but what do you expect me to post when you charge $36 for sogginess. Another double failure by EAT24 and Yelp. Ridiculousness #2 For deliveries, District 9, Yelp and EAT24 make you spend $25 minimum, when a regular pie is $16 and an appetizer is $5. What do you do then, order a topping that you don't want? In the future, I'm just not going to order delivery. Ridiculousness #3: The "hit 'n run" Please do us business travelers a favor and just be honest and tell us you're about to close. I even gave the manager an opportunity to replace the pizza by giving them a call. "Sorry we're closed." Ridiculous! I would have done far better with Dominos! I'm at fault here, though, really. I fell for all three ridiculousness and now I remember the last time I swore I would not order any more from EAT24/Yelp businesses. Have been meaning to try this place out for a while. Glad we did, but not likely we'll try again. On the Pizza - WHAT IS WITH THE DOUGH? That crust was limp and flaccid. I'd draw an biological analogy here, but I think you get the point. It was doughy, spongy, lacked any backbone or structure, as if it was adapted from a Wonder Bread recipe. What a shame though as the ingredients seemed very fresh and good quality. The Wings - their wings were quite good. We got some of the garlic parmesan, lemon pepper, and the BBQ Sriracha. Our favorite was the lemon pepper, but all we're done nicely, better than most baked wings I've had from pizza places. Developed a nice crust on the skin, but very tender and juicy inside. YUM. We ordered the cheese bread, back yard pizza and wild boar pizza for delivery. The cheese bread was gooey and delicious- my only complaint is we ran out of the marinara sauce way too soon. I wish they'd include twice as much per order! I was really surprised at how flavorful the back yard pizza tasted and they didn't skimp on the toppings. The crust was a little crispier than I normally prefer but I didn't mind. My boyfriend enjoyed his wild boar pizza as well. I'd dare to rank this place my third favorite pizza in Houston (after Pi pizza and Luna). read more

Was looking for another local pizza joint since mine has been overrun with business...needed an alternative. Tried a 12" half-bison buffalo & halfback yard. I opted for pickup and it was ready in 10- 15 minutes. The staff was super nice. The pizza was good. I would of liked a little more meat on it, but they have some unique combinations. The crust was good, it was sprinkled with parm cheese that really made eating the crust enjoyable. I will say that with the amazing ingredients on these two pizzas I was expecting a bigger flavor impact than I got. Hope next one packs a flavor punch. I ordered based on pics from Yelp because I could not access their menu. The yelp menu link did not work and their website said under construction. So this was a huge leap of faith. Plus i have been to some of thwir other non-pizza places. When I picked up the pizza I told the guy and he seemed genuinely concerned and noted to inform the owner. The outside/location of this place sort of threw me off, but don't let it fool you! There isn't a large, set menu for the pizzas. You get to customize it to however you want! I saw great reviews for this place so we decided to have lunch here. The outdoor patio was nice and plenty of inside seating too. However, the service was very slow and the food was just meh. It looked way better on the Yelp pictures. I got the Blackened shrimp penne pasta and it didn't have much flavor and lacked salt. The pizza my daughter got was better and wings were decent too. They brought everyone's plates out and I was left waiting without my food a good 10 minutes. I had to go inside and check on what the hold up was. read more

This place, by far, has been my favorite pizza since moving to Houston over 5 years ago. I'm originally from the Chicago area where great tasting mom & pop pizza shops are a dime a dozen. I noticed though that Houston didn't have a ton of those until I found District 7. Well lately, the quality has seemed to wane a bit. We ordered a pizza last night and the crust was really doughy and the cheese and ingredients seemed under cooked. The pizza also tasted as if it was missing something... garlic, perhaps? At any rate, please please PLEASE do not waver on your quality. This is my go to place whenever I want a really good quality pizza. Please do not subject me to going back to one of the chains. We just moved to this area so we had to try a new pizza spot. Order arrived in under 30 minutes from order which was an impressive start! Order was correct and looked delicious!! Spinach Artichoke dip was so good and made fresh! Pablo Chicken salad. OUT OF THIS WORLD. I like the lemon vinaigrette and the chicken is so good. Only reason for 4 stars (more like a 4.9) is that the pizza was real flimsy, just needed a few more minutes in the oven. Still tasted amazing. The toppings (spinach and sun dried tomatoes)smelled funny and were burned on the pizza, but almost as if the pizza had been cooked first and then the toppings were quick-broiled on top. First let's start off with the pizza....ordered your basic 16in with pepperoni and hamburger. I like that it's a thinner crust but not a cracker dry crust. The end of the crust (the heel) is really light and has a great flavor all it's own. The toppings were good had a little excessive grease but with pepperoni that's kinda to be expected. The only knock I had on the place was they don't deliver (only through grub hub etc. which sometimes can take up to two hours). The place is close and convenient to get to so I won't hold that too much against them. The inside (we got take out only) is really clean and well lit. Clearly this establishment is not run the way D7 runs other locations. D7 downtown is one of my favorite places in Houston. This joint... Meh. I'll never go back. The saving grace was the pizza. And since it's a pizzeria, I figure that warrants them an extra star. I split the buffalo chicken pizza with a friend. Very tasty, although not cooked evenly. The reason this place really hangs closer to only one star... The asshat behind the counter. Rude from the moment we walked in. Never acknowledged us waiting until I leaned on the counter. At that point he asked, "did you want to order something?" Oh, no. I just love walking into counter service restaurants and standing at the counter without ordering anything. So we proceed to order. He asks what size I want. I ask for a visual, bc I can't picture the two in comparison. He points to the quarter size circle on the menu. [blank face] At the risk of sounding like a basic whi... I can't even. So then it's time to pay. He never says the total, just glances over at it on the register as my signal to know what to pay. My "clearly customer service isn't a as important here as at other D7 restaurants," was returned with a "what'd you say? Whatever." I might also mention that there was one one other person in there, and the place was filthy. Never ever going back. And actually, I'm knocking it back down to one star just for having to relive the experience in this review. read more

Like the EaDo location of District 7 grill, this place has gone downhill big time. I ordered the "Texas Lollipop" wings which used to be huge fresh and juicy. Now they are previously frozen tiny little dry and chewy chicken jerky on a bone. The excellent house made Rosemary chili sauce is gone replaced by a bottled abomination with nary a sprig of herbs. This will be my final farewell to this location and it will be a miracle if this chain survives the year's end. All the earmarks of a desperate business cutting corners which impacts the quality and probably sanitation of the food. read more

Best delivery pizza we've had in Houston! My husband says it's "east coast pizza approved" as he's from Pennsylvania. Thin crust but floppy like New York pizza.
