Chain pizza has its place in the pizza totem pole, which is closer to, if not near the bottom just below utility pizza (#1). Pepperoni's defies this notion slightly, by essentially working it's way to utility status mostly due to consistency and price. They don't pretend to be fancy, knowing full well their pizzas and wings are going to be on the simpler side. Something that strikes me as weird is that their phone number goes to some central spot where orders are related to the individual locations. It's basically a pizza call center and I can envision a number of issues with this. Substitutions and last minute changes would be problematic, while some element of personalized service is lost. I have never seen this place busy. They have plenty of tables and chairs and the space to boot. Staff is always going to be 1-2 folks deep and seem friendly enough but are silently making pies in the back. The pizza itself is not going to win any awards. All things considered, it's solid in a pinch but don't expect anything fancy. The pizzas are reasonably priced and would work well for any party, be it a kiddie event or fóotball watch party. I think their meat combo pizza is the best bet. Classic pepperoni is also a winner and the supreme was no better than a Costco slice. While visiting downtown Houston we were craving pizza, so we tried Pepperoni's (Med Center), not realizing it's a chain restaurant as we prefer to eat at Mom & Pop places on the road. Needless to say, we were very pleased with the hand-tossed pepperoni & mushroom pie, wings, and Pepperoni's beverages we ordered. The pizza was really outstanding - piping hot, loaded with cheese and just enough sauce to add flavor without drowning the pie. The crust stayed crisp throughout the meal, which made us super happy (don't like soggy crusts). We were greeted warmly when we entered, and checked on during the meal without any overbearing or intrusiveness. The one downside is the hot wings weren't as spicy as we expected, but still spicy enough for most people. We'd return here next time we're in town. read more

It is a well decorated and I love that there is a large menu outside the building for you to take your time deciding on flavors and items. We went the specialty meat pizza and a classic pepperoni with mozerella sticks. The price was what we expected not too high. The wait was not long and the staff was very friendly. It's definitely a nice eat in place but we wanted to eat at home. The pizza was just okay nothing better than any chain Pizza. No exciting flavors sauce was bland. I left my apartment with the intention of getting wings but, as I exited the building, a gentleman passed by me and the smell that followed him made me stop in my tracks. His pizza (not his cologne) smelt mouthwateringly delicious. I needed to know where he got that pie from. I ran after him, inquired, and was told Pepperoni's. "Pepperoni's?!" I asked incredulously, firstly because I had never really heard of them and secondly, because once he told me where it was at, I instantly knew where he was talking about. I drive past this restaurant at least twice a day, but had never thought to try their pies. Well, today was going to be THAT day, because I immediately jumped in my car (remember, I was getting wings) and headed to Pepperoni's. Set in the same plaza as Target and Sonic, Pepperoni's sits unassumingly next to a Wells Fargo ATM. Their menu is displayed on the wall and boasts subs, salads, pizzas, calzones, so this place is more than just a pizza spot. I walked in and ordered a small Hawaiian whose toppings included canadian bacon, bacon, and pineapple, (yes people, I love pineapples on my pizza), and can we just pause to reflect on and appreciate the double bacon toppings? Just to solidify my fat kid status, I added cheese to my pie. Cost? Around $10. Time it took to be made - about 15 minutes. This pie was delicious without the frills that other places may offer; it tasted like it was homemade, amazing, and baked with love. Okay, okay, I may be talking it up a lot, but it was a pretty good pie. So much so, I went back and got another pie two days later *hides face* I don't now if I will try their other menu items but they've got me infatuated with their pies. Customer service is hit or miss - my first experience was great, my second was okay - however, still better than a lot of other places. Also, they've offer cauliflower crust pies, so when I decide to eat healthier in 2020, I will still be able to eat their pizza!!! I don't know if you can tell, but I am very excited about this. I was truly devastated about Zpizza leaving Houston. This was a few years back, when vegan pizza options were hard to come by. So then we started ordering from another local chain pizza . . . except the quality and the accuracy of our orders was always an issues, so that didn't feel like an adequate solution to my vegan pizza woes. Then here comes Pepperoni's and it's like, "Don't worry sis, I got you!!!" I would like to state that I used to order a vegetarian supreme pizza, without cheese, from Pepperoni's like back in 2001, from their Sugar Land location. So I was always a fan of their pizzas, even sans cheese. But upon learning that they now carry vegan cheese, and even vegan pepperoni (I think they don't always have it in stock though!), heck yes, sign me up! And yes indeed, Pepperoni's vegan pizza is indeed a very good and tasty (but basic) vegan pizza! Like even my omnivore husband is happy to chow down on it! Speaking of omnivore, my husband does also quite like the calzones and pizza rolls. The first time he ever had a Pepperoni's calzone he determined that it was one of the tastiest calzones he's ever come across. And get this, our orders have never been screwed up! The first time I heard of Pepperoni's was a couple years ago, when my now husband came to Houston to interview for graduate school. I talked to him over FaceTime the night before his interview and, being the worrywart that I am, asked if he'd even eaten anything all day. He told me that "there was only one place I could find that would deliver where I am, and it's called Pepperoni's. Take a look at this pizza." He showed me the luscious, cheesy goodness sitting in a box, and I drooled from 700 miles away. He'd ordered their pepperoni pizza, called the "New Yorker" on their menu. He said it was so good that he'd eaten half of a medium size pizza! Well, his interview went well so we moved to Houston, and have been meaning to try out Pepperoni's together since we moved here! A year and a half later, we finally made it to enjoy a relaxed lunch. Service was very friendly and prompt. We decided on the Pepperoni's Special this time. It was SO yummy! Topped with fresh cheese, veggies and meat. We ordered a large, but it was too much. This made for excellent leftovers the next day. Also-this is kind of weird-the Coke I had with the pizza was VERY GOOD. I'm not sure what makes a fountain drink Coke good, or taste better than other places, but whatever it is, they've got it here. I have heard from other reviews on here that delivery can take a while, and my husband confirmed. He said it took 45-60 minutes after the phone call to receive his food. Ordered a medium thin New Yorker which is described as lots of cheese & pepperoni and extra sauce. Well, It was very crispy and did have lots of cheese but not so much sauce. For $15.99, it was underwhelming. The garlic bread on the other hand was very tasty! And for $2.99, the portion is extremely generous and even comes with marinara. Would I try it again? Maybe. We are out of town and stuck at a hotel. Ordered to get delivered. 3 things pizza rolls a small pizza and a sandwich. Waited finally got a call from delivery lady and says it is at the desk, which we had already called and asked if we could get deliveries to our room and was told no problem. So we run down to get it and the delivered the wrong order so I called the delivery driver back and she was like o ok we'll bring it back down to me I'll deliver it to the right place. So I call the restaurant and tell them what happen and all he said was nothing he could do call corporate I said well can I get my food nope he said he was short staff and to call corporate. 36 dollar and a 7 dollar tip for no food. Call corporate just get a voicemail. Addition corporate called back to then only tell me I could only get a refund threw grub hub humm do they not get the money ever???? How do they get paid???? We happened to stumble upon this place. We were here for a visit to Md Anderson. My wife ordered a salad and I ordered a calzone. I asked for extra salt and was told they didn't have any. I asked for a utensil packet that had salt in it. I was told those packets were only given to customers ordering salad. After I very strongly insisted she finally gave me a packet. It shouldn't be that hard to get something to season your food when you are paying that much money. Please be more kind and helpful to your customers. read more

The pizza finally arrived and it was wrong we called them to inform them that our order was wrong. The young lady on the phone proceeded to question us about the pizza as if we were lying. Mind you our order is the same everytime. She said she would change the pizza if we came and picked it up but we got it delivered because it was later in the evening and my husband and I were in the middle of working and our sons bedtime was approaching. So we declined picking up the pizza. She did not have any other solutions my husband asked if we could get the pizza at a future date she said yes but then proceeded to ask to send her an email of the picture to prove to her it was wrong. We sent the pizza right away but of course slices were missing because my son needed to eat before bedtime we're not going to starve him. She then said she could only give us half the credit because slices were missing. We said that's not going to work she said ok and said she would make a note of it in the computer system, we asked if we could have a confirmation code or something to show proof. She said the note would be in the system. Fast forward to the next time we ordered, tonight and we called to get the pizza, they refused to honor it claiming the note wasn't in the system. I ordered the New Yorker pizza via DoorDash and it was great. It had a lot of cheese and pepperoni and the toppings seemed fresh. The dough was soft and crispy. No complaints. The wings, however, were just ok. The sauce was a typical buffalo sauce but my wings had a lot of fat on them. If you like that then you'll like the wings. No major issues. I pass this place everyday going to work but never thought to try them out. Saturday I decided to go in and try a slice. I was greeted when I walked in and given time to check out he menu and ask any questions. I only wanted to try a slice however they only had one slice of pepperoni in there little display and the cashier was very nice to let me know that that piece had been there since this morning and that a fresh pepperoni pizza would be out in 7 min if I had time to wait. I waited if course and was so glad I did! The slice was a slice of heaven!! Very flavorful, cheesy, hot, great crust, and just all around delicious!!! I also purchased a soda (which I rarely do). They have fountain sodas, bottled, and can. I purchased a fountain sprite (usually I stay clear of fountain sodas because I think they taste super weird) however this sprite was very refrains tasted like a sprite should! I was pleased with my first experience!! So much so that the next day I bought a medium sized pepperoni pizza. One slice wasn't going to be enough! They also have other menu items: salad, pasta, wings, calzones, and desserts. The place is fairly small but very clean and inviting. They have a tv, bar seats along the wall as well as tables. First time ordering from this location, got a delicious meal delivered through UberEats. Pizzas are always awesome, but this time we got the calzone for the first time and wow!! The garlic, buttery crust and zesty marinara on the side is a win. Love that it includes ricotta, so with just added chicken and mushrooms this was delightful. Hubby loved the Korean spicy wings. Everything about this story is amazing. I usually never eat pizza, but for pepperoni's I make the exception. So my bestfriend was exactly how I was before I discovered the deliciousness we refer to as Pepperoni's pizza. I had been begging her to try Pepperoni's for at least 3 months, today she finally gave in. Once I had completed my order of a large half chicken ranchero, half pepperoni and beef, I still wasn't quite sure if I wanted wings or not. I start to blabber aloud about wings, and instantly Candace offers a special that includes a large pizza, 10 wings, and an order of cheese sticks for less than what I would have paid individually. I pull out my card and pay, order it to go, and head to sit down, before I reach a chair Candace calls me by name and hands me two cups to grab a drink while I wait. Now she's almost too perfect! I sit, wait, sip on my complimentary drink, the food is ready. Candace calls over as if she knows me. Shows me the food, it looks beautiful, smells even better, in my mind I'm already on my second slice and I haven't even touched the box yet. I recently went vegan and it has been very hard for me to find places to eat with my husband as he is not vegan. I had been in Houston for a couple days and saw Pepperoni's but assumed there was nothing for me to eat there. I did a search and realized they had vegan pepperoni and cheese! I was very intrigued. The pizza was amazing! I looked over my receipt and realized I only saw the vegan pepperoni and not cheese on there. It made me question, if it was vegan cheese as I was not sure. The box even had a sticker for vegan pepperoni on it. I would hope the lady who took my order, provided me with vegan cheese as I kept asking for vegan options and asked for vegan everything, but again I'm not sure. Tried Pepperoni's for the first time 2 days ago and I still have left overs! Took advantage of the coupon for 2 Large pizzas for $25 and was impressed at the portions and quality of the deal! It's a classic New York style pizza that I was craving with just the right amount of cheese. I got one Alfredo sauce pepperoni for my boyfriend because red sauce gives him heartburn and he said it's his favorite now. I ordered online and it was ready in a timely manner.
