My concern is that their sales tactics felt dishonest--whether due to quotas, commissions, or something else, I can't say, but the behavior didn't feel transparent. I had no issue with purchasing a package as long as scheduling would work with my availability. The day before my original appointment, I received a text saying I needed to be rescheduled, so I pushed it to the following week.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] During the consultation, I expected a sales pitch, but the additional "add‑ons" offered if I bought a package felt insincere. [[HIGHLIGHT]]My main question was simple: Can weekend appointments be accommodated if I commit to a package? I was told yes, and that they like to see clients every 2-3 weeks. The appointment after that was more than a month later. Only then did I learn I could be placed on a waitlist or check online for cancellations--information that would have been helpful before making a purchase decision. What I don't appreciate are the predatory sales practices: The add‑ons I was promised never materialized. Recently visited for a Saturday morning appointment. Easy to find paid street parking in front of the location. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The staff was very friendly it was my first visit and I was given a short tour of the space and available services.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I went in for full body cryotherapy which only lasts 3 minutes. I was given shorts to wear along with slippers sock and gloves. They provide headphones if you would like to listen to music during the service. The cryotherapy was quick and they can adjust based on your comfort level. Each service room is private which I liked. I absolutely love this place! District Cryo is my go-to wellness spot, and it has truly transformed my body. I'm a regular here and use all of their services--whole body cryotherapy, the infrared sauna (my favorite!), and lymphatic compression. I go to District Cryo for cryotherapy to reduce swelling post surgery. I always feel so great for hours afterwards and have the best night sleep. They've moved to 113 S. Columbus and have added some new things to their list of services. I am curious to try the ice plunge, cryo facial (heard that really helps with Fraxel facial recovery time), and cryo body treatments (supposed to reduce cellulite?!?). I've used infrared at my gym and love how it improved my skin and scars. I can't say enough good things about District Cryo. And their staff is super cool. My first Cryo Contour appointment ever, and - wow! I was a little nervous about the experience going in. I expected the process to hurt a little, or at least be very uncomfortable. Boy was I wrong! I chose to have the contouring done on the backs of my thighs, where I've had cellulite since I was about eight years old. My Master Esthetician was Kaleigh, and she made me feel welcome and comfortable from the moment she greeted me. The contouring itself felt like a stone massage. The machine was like an ice ball being rolled on my legs, only I never felt very cold because the ball kept moving. At the end of the treatment, the machine warms up for the finishing touches. For both thighs, the process took almost exactly an hour. All the while, Kaleigh let me chat away. (There were also times that I was quiet and simply relaxing; she really followed my lead.) After the contouring, I was instructed to drink lots of water and to avoid sugar and carbs for 2-3 hours. I wish I had taken "Before" and "After" photos to definitively see the results. Looking in the mirror, I can see that my thighs are smoother after the one treatment. All in all, I had a nice, relaxing visit with visible results, and plan to go back again! read more

I visited District Cryo after having conventional surgery. After 6 weeks, I still had fluid build up. The Cryo helped my swelling and helped me to get better sleep. My experience was tailored to my specific needs; they put their compression boots onto my legs to improve blood flow, which helped after laying around in bed while recovering. I certainly plan on going back. I'm glad to have cryo therapy in Alexandria, and it is affordable, costing less than I'd pay for a massage. read more
